I am local citizen of this area . There are many sites where buddah stachave is present. The local people gave him respect and alwayscwelcome to buddism fallowers.

There are aprox 16000 buddist still living in Pakistan mainly in sindh this number was 20,000 at the time of partition some of them leave and some of them are converted to Hindus coz there are still near 80 lac hindues living in Pakistan...

Present day Swat valley in KPK is referred as Oddiyana in Tibetan Buddhism, and the famous Guru Rimpoche or Guru Padmasambhava was said to be born in this beautiful heavenly place Oddiyana...
