      Currently looking at the Huion, and the XP, not avoiding the Wacom, just seeing what is out there for the $. . For making lessons to be recorded, the wireless seems to not really matter. In a class it would be great however to have the portability. I will let you know once we land on one.

      Great. Both xppen and huion have very good models. I tried the tablets in thevideo (except hs611) and they are really good. I am also currently reviewing huion inspiroy dial. Video will be ready in two days and you can check out that too if you want to buy that one.

      I'm learning so much about technology (thanks to the pandemic to be honest). I'm a teacher and I'm teaching with my Yoga Lenovo 520, which has a touch screen and a digital pen too. It makes my classes much easier than just using the mouse (I'm not a big fan). However, after a long time working, my hand sores (I would like a more comfortable position for it (on the table not in the air) and I have to correct lots of writings (this time digital ones) and I think one of this tablets would help me a lot. Thank you so much for the info you share. Now I feel more confident about what to buy. Greeting from Mexico.

      Hi@@petiteyoya I just saw your comment, sorry for the late reply.
      You are right, hand positioning is really important. Thats why, using graphics tablets is more comfortable and also I like the friction on the surface of graphics tablets. It is better than writing on a glass or glasslike surface.

    Even though I am not a teacher, I found your video very interesting and would like to ask you 2 questions:
    a) Around time code 0:30, there seems to be a kind of keyboard with customizable keys on the left next to your headphones. I would be interested to know what that is?
    b) Do you know any good (preferably open source) software for making mathematical drawings to illustrate concepts like coordinate systems on a sphere?
    Thank you in advance for your reply.

      @MathMathX  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Rony, thanks for your kind words. I really appreciate it. I donwloaded the pic in 0:30 from pixabay.com (free full stock website) i don't know what this is and i couldn't find it in the description but it looks like a game pad or something about music. I really dont know here is the link for the original pic:pixabay.com/photos/computer-workplace-company-414055/
      About the marh drawing software, i am currently searching for those kind of software to learn and record videis about them. I heard some people are using Inkscape. I just watched some videos about it and i think it is useful for mathematical drawings. Again, after I have a clear idea about those software, i will share my opinions in a video. Sorry, I couldn't answer your questions.

    Hi, could you advise which brand/model has a paper-like feeling when writing on it? Some of them is like wriiting on a smooth glass, hard to control. Thanks in advance.

    • @MathMathX
      @MathMathX  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hello, it is really hard to find a tablet which feels like a paper. I tried tens of devices and didn't find any. The classic ones with no screen feels like a smooth plastic-like surface. And the monitor tablets feel like smooth glass. I heard about REMARKABLE tablets, they say it is good but I didn't try them.

    Are pressure sensitivity and tilt functionality features to be considered before buying? Thanks!

    • @MathMathX
      @MathMathX  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These are not really really important for teachers who teaches lessons like math and science but if you teach art, it is important.
      Also most new models offer 8k sensitivity which is almost maximum level. And all the tablets I talked about have that feature.
      I am using the tablets in the video for almost 5 years and I have never used tilting function. But if you think you ll use, you can definitely choose models with that function.

      @@MathMathX That's so nice!!! :). Thank you! Well, I want one for two specific reasons. 1. I need to be able to write on the papers I am grading electronically, and I want to do that by hand with my own marks. Currently, I am having to print student papers out, mark them by hand, and then scan and email them back. That has a lot of extra steps -- and wasted trees -- I would like to avoid. 2. I would like to be able to write diagrams/notes/charts/etc. on the tablet and be able to share that on line in real time with my students during lectures, the same way I would use a white board in class. Are there any tablets that would work best for an English/Humanities instructor like me?! I would not need some of the fancy bells & whistles a graphic artist would be looking for...

    • @MathMathX
      @MathMathX  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Lynnette sorry for the late reply, I didn't get a notification for your reply. It sometimes happens.
      Graphics tablets are really useful and they will help you a lot with homework marking and teaching.
      Actually, you can do these with most tablets. I like xppen products, they are really good and they have extras in their packages like pen holders, extra nibs etc. If you need a wireless one, medium size xppen Star 05 is one of the cheapest and it works great. If you need a big size Huion inspiroy dial and xppen deco 03 are also good but they are more expensive. Best budget big size tablet is xppen deco 01 v2. It is not wireless. And for small size, wacom intious small is good. But i dont prefer wacom, bcz you can buy better Xppens cheaper.

    Thank you for sharing this. As you said, most teachers are new to online education. My parents are elder teachers and they will not use a tablet without a screen. Do you have any recommendations for tablets with screens for teachers? I was looking into wacom bamboo, which rather than a screen it is actually composed of a digital table that digitalizes what you write on a piece of paper on top of it. This could be ideal for my parents. Only problem? The only way to stream it online is if you connect it to an intermediate such as a phone or tablet, tipically an iphone or ipad. Unfortunatelly most people in Europe don't use Apple so that's a no no for us here. Any tips/solutions? I would really appreatice. Sincerely, Rita

      Saludos !

    • @MathMathX
      @MathMathX  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Simon,
      There are a few reasons for this.
      First and the most important one is ipads are expensive. People cant afford to buy.
      Second, many people already have computers, personal or in the school.
      So, they can buy an affordable graphics tablet and teach online.
      There are also other reasons and I will talk about that jn a video.

      Hi Izzet, sorry for replying late. Your comment just disappeared among all others I don't know why. Anyways, I thought about buying a Tablet PC before. You are right, it is 2 in 1. But there are couple of downsides. For example, graphics tablet is something like a mouse or a keyboard. it makes your life easier and it is something cheap and you can definitely renew it with a low cost if something happens but it is not same with Tablet PCs. Another thing is most tablet pc pens have batteries. you need to charge it before using it. If you are planning to teach, you need to consider this because you cannot use it with the low battery. it would be disaster if the battery is low in the middle of your lecture right. However there are also advantages of course. So, I just wanted to mention these two things that I found a kind of problem with those devices. On the other hand, there are pretty handy and super useful. Asus, Lenovo Yoga and Microsoft Surface are good quality Tablet PCs and if you need just some software, you can definitely go for it. but I recommend you to have at least i5 7th generation processor, (at least 7 gen) and some SSD.

    • @MathMathX
      @MathMathX  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is like using a mobile phone, you still have the same things on the screen but if the screen is bigger, you can write easier however, it doesnt mean we need the biggest size. I don't recommend you to buy anything more than 10x6 bcz it occupies to much space and you need to move your hand a lot, it makes you tired. 8x5 or 10x6 are good (I m talking about the active area not the size of the whole device) less than 8x5 or more than 10x6 also work good. but most online teachers find these sizes most comfortable.

      Both models have their own advantages: huions pen and pen holder is better in terms of build quality. and its driver, pen tablet software, is user friendly.

    First of all, thanks a lot for this (and all the other) videos! They are really informative :).
    I am considering getting a tablet for giving online lectures and talks. The Wacom Intuos Small w/ bluetooth seems nice, but quite small (and the medium size is 100 CAD more expensive...). Do you think the small size is a problem or I shouldn't bother with this? I am also looking at the huion hs611 you pointed, I am just wondering about if the lack of bluetooth is going to be annoying or not.

    • @MathMathX
      @MathMathX  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for your kind words.
      Most teachers including my brother :) are using wacom small. The size is not a problem at all.
      However, more and more teachers are switching to xppen and huion. Bcz they are cheaper and they have extras like pen holder extra replacement nibs and some extra usb cords etc.
      Wireless is also a personal choice. For example my mouse and my keyboards are also wireless. I really dont like seeing wires around me. Thats why i am saying it is an important factor and also i was using it in my regular classroom. Having a wireless tablet in a regular class is a big plus. If you want to use it only in an online classroom and if you dont mind having cables around you, you can def buy that one. I will be honest with you, huion hs611 is the most cool-looking tablet i have ever seen. And it is super thin. I dont like tablets with the wire but i am planning to buy this one. :)

    Hi, you have given too many options. I am middle school math teacher and I need a good graphic writing tablet focusing on math operations. I am from India and some products that you mentioned are available. I have a tight budget and school may reopen soon too but would use it for long term too. How is XP-PEN the 69 dollar one?

      I just recorded a review about that and will upload the video soon. I think it is good and it does the job but if you want more info, the video will be uploaded in a few days.

      I dont have mac but Most tablets are compatible. I beleive all of them in this list are compatible with Mac.
      They all have drivers, pen tablet software, in their websites and you can download it after you buy a tablet. You can also check amazon links in the description below.
