Out of all the reviews I've watched, yours is the most enjoyable because I feel like I am just watching someone trying it out like I would. Everyone else is so analytical and slow and blabbering on for ages about tiny things. Great review 👏
Absolutely fantastic content! I’ve seen way too many reviewers covering this tablet in exactly the same way. Your energy and authenticity is refreshing. :)
I was just at a conference in Las Vegas where I was in a large ballroom, lights were LOW, and I had to take notes. And let me tell you, having the Paper Pro would have been CLUTCH in a moment like this. I have the Remarkable 2, and I had to use my phone's screen light (not too bright to disturb those around me) to bounce off the Remarkable so i could see where I was writing. I think this new Remarkable Paper Pro came at the exact RIGHT time as we have MANY conferences coming up. Ordered mine a few days ago...I hope it gets here FAST!
Great review! Finally someone reviewing the Remarkable for what it’s made for: Digital Notebook! Most reviewers out there are just looking at how it displays colour comic books.
the remarkable is also very helpful for scientists. we have to read papers/publications/PDFs regularly. for many, the RM2 falls short because many figures in papers are colour dependent.
I'm trying to get one of these approved for a work purchase. Love the reMarkable 2. I'd say the color feature is cool, but the increased size and backlight are the main 2 features that grabbed my attention. Great video for the reM2 owners!
Great review! I love how you acknowledge that there is a reason to have an ipad in addition to rM. I’ve found the same. I have a Surface Pro for graphics and general computing; rM is for thinking, notes, planning, doodling. I hope rMPP will be better for reading literature with color figures, since bright screens are a bit tiring
I JUST got the Pro in the mail today and I'm super bummed. The screen is super hard to see and not bright at all. I guess I was expecting it to be more like writing on a white pad of paper vs. a semi-glared dark piece of paper with a pen I could hardly see.....
This is the best review I've seen for the reMarkable Paper Pro. Your demeanor is professional, forthright, and enthusiastic in a genuine way. You also go over the important points I'm interested in and seem quite fair in your assessment.
Great Review. I have been an ardent user of RM2 and love it to the core. A big downside was not being able to see color images, write in color text, as well as use it in the night in the dark. With this new RMPP, it would solve the color issues as well as the using in the dark. Have you opened pdf documents with color images and how do you feel about that? Are the original colors translated well? Though you did not use it in the dark, from this and other videos its pretty clear that the light from the tab is good for using in the dark.
First time I've seen your videos and I really like your attitude and approach...very smart, friendly, and down to earth. I ordered the Pro, expecting it early October...can't wait! You've got a new follower!
Absolutely great review. Thank you so much! Odd question, do you/does someone know where i can find the arial print photo that is in the background on the wall right at the beginning?
Great comparison video - I’ve had the RM2 since January and it’s honestly such a fantastic product. I won’t immediately upgrade but this was great to see!
My take on this: I'm used to have the Supernote A6x but still. That is why I think you deserve a Paper Pro: - Bigger screen (PDF-reading, mind mapping) - Highlighter in color, really is a game changer for me ( I handwrite notes and always mark certain words for a later quick read). - Top notch Cover folio design with a secure pen strap. - The Marker Plus texture feel and weight of pen, it is an amazing feeling. - The ballpen type blue colour writing. Really nice paper like look and feel, when reading and writing. - If you use the Remarkable Chrome plugin on your computer, you can sent colour web pages straight to your paper pro, with one click!!! Web pages are much easier to read on a colour screen and pictures are much better to see. -Great front light. It improves colour viewing in dimmer light condition. I moved away from my Supernote A6X2, and it is day and night difference working on the Remarkable Pro. Beside the easier to use interface and better writing ( I guess it the easier use and the colours that are making a big impact on me. Just using the Marker Plus pen is so much better than then the Wacom pens from the Supernote and LAMI. Concerned the high price of Remarkable Pro. My theory is: if you use this tool every day, the price should not hold you back, unless you can not afford it write now.
The reMarkable Paper Pro screen is darker. If you try to use it in typical household lighting, you have to use the backlight, which impacts battery life.
Awesome review! Great to hear the perspective of someone who seems to have regularly used an RM2, and I appreciate that you actually looked at what people were saying and asking about the new device. Looking forward to the follow-up video with the plane travel - it'll be interesting to see how things like weight, battery life, and the frontlight hold up to real-world use. Might be interesting to throw some more graphic-heavy content (like comics or textbooks) on there as well to see how it performs. Thanks again for the video!
did you return it? the RMPP was my least well considered purchase all year, and I handed it to DHL today. The drab gray screen, the low contrast, the anemic front light, the color flashes and performance degradation, the weight and heft, all of it.
Excellent Video! Thank You! Quick Question. On the speed of the page turn it seemed pretty quick. As a musician wanting to use this for sheet music purposes, would you say the page turn is fast enough if performing a fast musical piece?
Hi! I used the RCU hack for the device. Use at your own risk (although I haven’t heard of any major issues!) checkout the RM Reddit feed. All info is on there I think
Do you think the laptop bag you sell would be a good fit for this? Also, do the backpack straps work for the laptop bag (esp. in "shoulder strap mode")?
It actually would! The size of the RMPP leave some room in our laptop sleeve for any other useful items too. It does go into shoulder carry with the strap from the backpack
Hi, thank you for your video. Do you recommend the Remarkable Paper Pro for a student (engineering for me)? Indeed, I am concerned about the feel of the tablet and the focus. I feel my needs align with the Remarkable, but what are your thoughts on it?
Can the devices be used with pens that aren't connected/installed to them? Or is that the reason you can't use the pens both devices? I mean you did have to install the pen to use it. And we didn't see you install the RM2 pen on the Pro and vice versa.
To me the biggest upgrade is having the light. That's major. Writing in the dark is great. But I'm having a hard time acclimating to this glass screen. It's textured, far more than the rM2, but it's slippery and I don't know if I can get used to this. I'd be settling because of how great it is to have the light. If the rM2 had a front light, I'd be fine. That screen/marker combo is a great writing experience. More resistance. All that to say, I'm looking for one of those screen covers that add some drag to the writing experience. I miss being able to write lightly without slipping. Any suggestions?
Does the new pen have the same roughness on the body? I have always preferred the completely smooth texture of the apple pen to hold than the rougher remarkable 2 pen
Thank you for the review! One of things putting me on the fence (I don't own either at present) is the banding down the left of the remarkable 2 - I like the look of this as it almost seems like a binder you have on a paper notepad, which you can lean your hand on. It looks like the writing experience would be different with the pro for that reason?
A nice review about the RMPP (reMarkable Paper Pro, A.K.A. RM3C). I've been excited for the next reMarkable since I unboxed my RM2 back in November 2020. What are your favorite three features about the Paper Pro, eh?
Great review! I’d like to see what sheet music looks like on the new Remarkable Pro. Is it usable? Any musicians out there that have tried it let me know.
Enjoyed your review. Would APPRECIATE your opinion: I am an attorney working mostly at home and want a device that I can use for notes, on lined “paper” and then email to my file or copy and paste. Is there a tablet you would recommend? Thank you.
No, just an internal 64 GB but realistically 42 GB of usable space. But, it would take an insane amount of documents to actually fill this thing. I used my reMarkable two for a year and only put like 3 GB on it.
The orange color is only available on the highlighter and the shader pen, so yes it does appear to be a little bit yellow. The highlighter is pretty true to orange.
Nice review! This looks cool, I just can’t believe they don’t let you search your handwritten notes. That’s a clear win over pen & paper for me. They have OCR, and supernote etc all do it, so it’s got to be possible.
As wonderful and attractive as the new Paper Pro is, THE #1 reason to choose Supernote over the Remarkable is the ability of the former to store important files on an OTG thumb drive via the USB-C port! Many people work with highly confidential files, and quite often companies and agencies will simply NOT allow files to be uploaded into cloud servers under threat of employment termination. The Supernote allows you to stay completely offline and to save your files securely onto the OTG thumb drive. It doesn't get any more convenient than that. If the Remarkable PaperPro had this ability, I'd have one on my desk tomorrow.
I'd say the "pro" has two advantages over RM2 : color, oh yeah, and speed, because RM2 is a little slow. Maybe backlight to be able to read in bed. But the rest is only downs : waaaaaay too big, less paper feeling, and the price... It's a Big no for me, but a RM3, same size, but faster and with color, would have been just perfect.
The Viwoods Ai paper is better because it does similar things and on top of that you have access to the Android store so you can use any Ebook Store & Book reading apps you want
This product feels like a prototype and I will stick to my RM2. The black is blueish and the only thing that will make me buy it is the size and backlit but the rest is just a gimmick...
Yeah, I'm very disappointed by the bluish color, and the background is much more gray compared to the RM2. It's kind of weird because the screen is less contrasted, which is really annoying. At this point, I'm just waiting for the SuperNote A4X2. I asked Remarkable if they would update these issues, but I think it's a physical problem, so there may not be a fix for it. They only responded by saying they can't disclose what the future updates will include. This company really lacks of transparency.
I just got mine today. I regret giving away my RM2. I’m so disappointed with the flickering, the noise when writing, low quality of my pdfs in the new RM Pro. It’s so slow. It feels like writing on an iPad. 😔
Everyone is complaining about the PRO screen being to much like an iPad generating tons of hate. It lacks the paper feel the 2 offers. Anyone else have this issue?

Thank you for the kind comment! Glad it was helpful!
I agree with @danielhenderson7050. This was a really nice, down-to-earth presentation. Well done!
Pen is going to be heavier because it has to have a battery.
Gracias ❤

Okay, this helps. I am getting ready the remarkable paper pro!
Great review! Finally someone reviewing the Remarkable for what it’s made for: Digital Notebook! Most reviewers out there are just looking at how it displays colour comic books.
Thank you for the kind comment! Definitely wanted to test it against the Rm2 since I’ve loved that device so much!
We are living in the new middle age.

the remarkable is also very helpful for scientists. we have to read papers/publications/PDFs regularly. for many, the RM2 falls short because many figures in papers are colour dependent.
Was just going to comment about that ❤
I'm trying to get one of these approved for a work purchase. Love the reMarkable 2. I'd say the color feature is cool, but the increased size and backlight are the main 2 features that grabbed my attention. Great video for the reM2 owners!
I’ve watched all reviews of this product and wow, this is THE BEST ONE! Thank you!!!
well done on heading over to Reddit to get the most talked about points of this device, literally made your video so more valuable
Agree
Very good comparisons and it felt like a friend talking to me. Thank you!
I was concerned that people said RMPP is less paper-like feeling, I'm glad to hear that is not the case.
I hope they release a reMarkable Paper Pro lite version with the same size as Rm2 with the light on the screen and monochromous color!
I JUST got the Pro in the mail today and I'm super bummed. The screen is super hard to see and not bright at all. I guess I was expecting it to be more like writing on a white pad of paper vs. a semi-glared dark piece of paper with a pen I could hardly see.....
Thx for this great review. How’s the battery life on the Paper Pro?

17:29 if you mark something with colors on the rm2 and open it in the paper pro, will it be in color?
Yes! On that article, I didn’t show the page, but I had highlighted in yellow on the RM2 and it appears yellow on the RMPP.
im sticking with my rm2 :)
A lefty review!!! Been looking for someone left handed to show themselves using these devices. Thanks.
you do notice the light when in a dark environment
Loved watching this review! The Paper Pro is a lovely device, can't wait to get my hands on one :)
Happy travels!

You did a great job in reviewing this.. Very practical to the point review.
Great comparison video - I’ve had the RM2 since January and it’s honestly such a fantastic product. I won’t immediately upgrade but this was great to see!
Nice review.
Bummer they still haven't implemented a dictionary on the Remarkable.
What is the battery life between the RM2 and Paper Pro?
About the same, though now rM2 has gotten worse with the latest firmwares...
What? Why is the screen so gray? Low contrast. Thanks that you show this difference
My take on this: I'm used to have the Supernote A6x but still. That is why I think you deserve a Paper Pro:

Oof I play guitar but I can’t confidentially say yes or no! It might be, if you can remember the last line of the current page?!
Do you know how the remarkable pro feels when writing vs ipad pro (with a cover that makes it feel rougher)?
look forward to the plane one... pls can you tell me what the travel tech case was.... so I can look to order? Love the video!
Hello, how you can add Lock Screen picture in rm2?
Hi! I used the RCU hack for the device. Use at your own risk (although I haven’t heard of any major issues!) checkout the RM Reddit feed. All info is on there I think
So you cannot check emails or sthg else in this digital notebook, right?
Nope! But you can email your files from it to your email.
Im planning on getting this or the competition, nut i just wish it were brighter
What's the PPI in reading mode? Is it different in black/white vs color? The background light seems to be the weak spot to me.
Rm2 Design❤️🔥❤️🔥
Hi, thank you for your video. Do you recommend the Remarkable Paper Pro for a student (engineering for me)?
Indeed, I am concerned about the feel of the tablet and the focus.
I feel my needs align with the Remarkable, but what are your thoughts on it?
Focus wise, it’s the best device I own. It’s so limited that it keeps me working and getting stuff done!
Great review thanks for that! Just wanted to ask where can i buy one ? the official site of Remarkable doesn't seem to have the paper pro yet!
That thing has a smooth reaction like a skateboard on beach sand 😂
Can the devices be used with pens that aren't connected/installed to them?
Or is that the reason you can't use the pens both devices?
I mean you did have to install the pen to use it.
And we didn't see you install the RM2 pen on the Pro and vice versa.
how white is the default background color of paper pro compared to kindle paper white. I am concerned about the contrast.
To me the biggest upgrade is having the light. That's major. Writing in the dark is great.

Thanks for the review, I still can’t decide!!!…. By the way what planner are you using, it looks nice and simple do you have a link to it?
How about file upload to the device? How convenient ?
? are you not using true desktop app? You can upload whatever you need there?
@@jenniferlusher7806 I assumed that file transfer to the device is only possible through cloud service.
Of course no option for Linux user then!
I agree. Great review. Thank you.
I want the size of RM2 with the colors/features of the Pro. Doing it bigger is more troublesome than anything imo.
Thank you for the review! One of things putting me on the fence (I don't own either at present) is the banding down the left of the remarkable 2 - I like the look of this as it almost seems like a binder you have on a paper notepad, which you can lean your hand on. Amazing! Absolutely Fabulous 🎉 thank you.
Great review, thank you.
Great review, I wish it was as white as the rm2, seems a bit weird to degrade that aspect
A nice review about the RMPP (reMarkable Paper Pro, A.K.A. RM3C). I've been excited for the next reMarkable since I unboxed my RM2 back in November 2020. What are your favorite three features about the Paper Pro, eh?

A really good review

They have OCR, and supernote etc all do it, so it’s got to be possible.
what are 'morning pages'?
Does the LAMY stylus work with the RMP also? It’s the best RM2 stylus ever.
It does not :( the RMPP is using a new technology called ‘active pens’, so it can’t be a EMR pen.
Great video
As wonderful and attractive as the new Paper Pro is, THE #1 reason to choose Supernote over the Remarkable is the ability of the former to store important files on an OTG thumb drive via the USB-C port! If the Remarkable PaperPro had this ability, I'd have one on my desk tomorrow.
Hmm... I'm not sure color is going to make up for the larger size for me.
I’d like a Remarkable 3. Like the 2 but faster, more memory, better. The pro seems a bit too large for my needs.
great review
Is the remarkable 2 still worth it if you’re not bothered about colour?
Absolutely, I still recommend it and personally will continue using it!
most valuable review by far ! Thank you !!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
love the size of RM2 better than color pro. it would be nice to have a RM2 color ^-^
This would be my dream too!
is this available in india
Hello lefty 👋 😊
The 11.8' format is far too imposing for comfortable use in note-taking.
Remarkable 2, far superior in my opinion.
I would love to use this reading comics, but it doesn't have enough memory to make it make sense. My comics would overwhelm this thing in half a day
I'd say the "pro" has two advantages over RM2 : color, oh yeah, and speed, because RM2 is a little slow. Maybe backlight to be able to read in bed. But the rest is only downs : waaaaaay too big, less paper feeling, and the price... It's a Big no for me, but a RM3, same size, but faster and with color, would have been just perfect.
Remarkable pro is probably meant to copy the size and the feel of a sheet of paper, hence the size.
*rM2
Some upgrades but too many downgrades and too expensive and I don't have much use for color and don't want a bigger one.
The Viwoods Ai paper is better because it does similar things and on top of that you have access to the Android store so you can use any Ebook Store & Book reading apps you want
Man I can never find a legitimate page to purchase that device
Best review out there!
Without the boring techno babble and mansplaining of other reviews.🤗😙
Thanx!
@@philippeb9944 I think my alternative would be Viwoods but the product is too young for now...
I just got mine today. I regret giving away my RM2. I’m so disappointed with the flickering, the noise when writing, low quality of my pdfs in the new RM Pro. It’s so slow. It feels like writing on an iPad. 😔
Thanks for that. I've been wavering between the RM2 and the RPP. I think the RM2 will do what I need 😊
you find the noise significantly different than the rm2?
Well why did you give away the RM2 so quickly?
Too much money for a color one… I’ll stick with the rm2. Can you connect a flash drive?
Everyone is complaining about the PRO screen being to much like an iPad generating tons of hate. It lacks the paper feel the 2 offers. Anyone else have this issue?
iPad M4 is 13in…
just came here recommended by frontpage yt. thanks for algos
Their screens are still too dark to read comfortably without any external light source.
Remakable Pro or Ipad?
this tablet is on LSD those colors are real trip
I noticed you are a lefty. Do you ever dream of aliens?
It shows a girls reviews, love every minute, its like she touches upon every interest point I might have. Girl power hihi☺️👍👏😍
