I would guess the average body count for both men and women to be 1-4. When you delete a file on a computer, the operating system marks the space that the file occupied as available for new data. It doesn't erase the contents of the file immediately; rather, it removes the file's entry from the file system's directory, making it invisible to the user and allowing the space to be overwritten by new data in the future. The actual data of the file remains on the storage medium until it is overwritten.
And I says this as a data engineer formerly software engineer for 3 years with a bachelor degree in software engineer. And I also used to do data recovery on wiped or broken disc for cash when I was in high school.

Destiny doesn't really understand how file deletion works. he's thinking about low level formats which does delete files for good but it takes several hours for a full drive. How normal file deletion works is you delete the index for that file, but the rest of the information is still there, the sectors it is using are just marked as free and open to be re written. This is why it takes less than a second to delete one 10gb file, but considerably longer to delete 5000 files worth 100mb. By pressing delete on a file, you can recover that file, by doing a low level format, you cant, all the information is zeroed

For the guy with the recovering deleted files thing, i took computer science classes and i was told when you erase a file, its not actually erased. The system just makes the file able to be over written. Thats why forensics teams can go into criminals computers and retrieve files thought to be deleted.
