It's kinda ironic how you sympathize with Grace for having a manipulative, abusive father, while at the same time saying abusing your kid is sometimes okay by hitting them. You lost the debate with that answer. How the heck is hitting a child more justifiable than hitting a spouse. Around 2:05.00 is when you said hitting a child is sometimes okay, and before that is when you said hitting your spouse is never okay. You're sick. And I'm truly disappointed in you. I respected you a lot. But justifying child abuse is crossing the line for me. I would much rather I be hit by my spouse than to ever hit or have my child be hit. I'm an adult, I can handle being hit and I have more protections if I am hit than a child does. I will always sympathize more with children than any adults in these situations.

While I agree Ben is gross, but I lost respect and am disappointed in Destiny and Erudite. Destiny saying hitting a child is more justified or understandable compared to hitting a spouse, is deplorable. And Erudite not pushing back on that and making Destiny to change his stance on that. No wonder this world doesn't care about children and why adults are too afraid of being hit, but they justify hitting defenseless children. Cowards. Adults who justify hitting children EVER, but say a spouse aka an adult should "NEVER" be hit, is absurd to me. It literally boils my blood how much child abuse is justified over spousal abuse. I do not want to live on this planet anymore if that is the majority view of americans. I hope all the americans who think it is more justified to hit a child than an adult gets decked in the face, broken bones, and the assailant gets away with it because these ABUSIVE parents get away with hitting their children. I don't care if he said "sometimes". He said "Never" to hitting your spouse, but sometimes to hitting children. Nah, chief, you need serious correction on thatone.

And I’m sure if you asked Destiny “do you think you have the right to defend yourself if your spouse is attacking you?” he would say “yes” so context of the debate is important. When Destiny says it’s “Never okay” he is talking about in the context of a spousal argument.

Children are more defenseless than an adult. You do realize you were abused as a kid then, right? A kid cannot retaliate out of self defense. A kid can do nothing to protect itself. An adult can. Do not argue like Grace and defend your parents' abuse. Seriously. It is NEVER understandable to hit a child. You are simply a child abuser as much as Steven could be a spousal abuser.

The pain was the same, the shock was the same. Toddlers have not yet learnt how to emotionally regulate themselves, so there is an outward explosion of emotional behaviour.
