    Suspension is key for our cars. I’ve tried both springs(eibach sportline) and coils(BC BR Coils) and anything is better than stock, our cars have too much stock body roll And stock monster truck status IMO.

    I ordered H&R springs but returned them cause i live in the DC area so roads suck and i didn’t want a LOW drop. I ordered the Racing line kit with springs and shocks for my MK8 autobahn . Cant wait 🙏

    I have a Mk6 Golf R with DCC and I’m running 19” Talledega’s fitted with 235/35/19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres. I wouldn’t bother lowering it as it low enough standard. DCC in Sport mode is too stiff on anything but perfectly smooth roads, which there aren’t many of.

    did you have to recalibrate your DCC on he VWR springs ? I remember asking someone in forums about springs and they'd mentioned they had to recalibrate theirs and I was curious as to how that's done or even necessary

    As a 2017 MK7 GTI SE owner, in my opinion the stock dampers were designed to work with the stock spring height and rate. When you decrease the damper stroke and travel with lowering springs the dynamics, performance and longevity of the damper will be diminished. The proper way to lower your car is to install quality coil overs. But that’s a costly, but worthy upgrade. Peace

      Agreed, Lowering springs suck. You can't even drive above 100 mph without getting your insides rearranged..

    Actually getting the H&R sports on my mk7 gli tomorrow along with some rotiform flg-r133s, did you do the OBDELEVEN adaptation for the dcc? Supposedly it should take care of a lot of the extra harshness with the new springs, im going to try it myself on my Jetta tomorrow there’s more info on this on vw vortex. Awesome video as usual

    Isn’t it bad for the shocks? I want lowering springs to keep the adjustable dampers that come in the golf r when switching between eco-race
    But I’ve found mixed results on this being bad/good

    Anybody get a "suspension fault" alert after putting springs on with DCC? The alert doesn't pop up all the time but when it does I feel the shocks get spongy. Is there a way to fix the issue?

    • @iankonstantino6648
      @iankonstantino6648 ปีที่แล้ว

      Late reply but you need to recalibrate your shocks with DCC after installing new springs. You can do it with OBD11, just make sure all the wheels are off the grounf 100% and you can reset DCC and it will get rid of the bouncy ride
