- Hi guys welcome back to the channel! Today I will be going over some details on the Mace Cams for our Camaro V6's. Nevermind I see the link. Question thou, where did you get the cam locks...from mace? I diddnt get them, mace told me a professional wouldnt need them.
Also what gaskets seals did you replace? Do you have a list?
Hey man, I have a 15’ Camaro v6 ,I have a trifecta tune on the way plus other modifications you think adding the camshaft and the timing chain will help when I get the tune actually put in? Basically to make it simpler buying these then putting the tune on would it be good or have an affect? Also you still running flex fuel with this?
Yes I am still running a flex tune. And you cannot just add these to any tune. They have to be specifically tuned. Its not add these and you get 40 wheel horsepower. That's not how it works. I spoke with trifecta a while back and they said they could not help me with the mace cams. In other words they said they would not help me tune them. That is why I chose Will.
@@mistermanage1119 I hear you, I installed flex fuel kit and I didn’t have any blue pieces did everything in your video but placed in right area no leaks or anything so I believe it works and just got done tuning literally after your response so wish me luck!!

What springs would you recommend if we pair this cam with a supercharger
I would get the 80# springs from Mace.
Any idea if this will fit a 2013 Ats ?
If its a 3.6 lfx, I don't see why not. But I do not know for sure. Ask Mace Engineering.
My mechanic ,install mace cam,90 lb valve springs,lifers and rocker all new ,but has a loud ticking, just wondering if you have the same problem ,thanks
No. I don't have that problem. I also didn't install those springs. They are not needed.

Which cloyes kit did you get? I am about to do the same, just ordered the mace cams yesterday. I see there are 3 different kits, o e with vvt sprocket, the other 2 are different.

Was it just the cams and timing chain kit, or did you have to get other parts also?
I got a lot of my own parts(miscellaneous) but you can pay the shop to get those parts if you want.

No, you have a LGX motor.
what affect did it have on your gas mileage?
Honestly, I don't pay attention to gas mileage too much bud.
I'm doing this upgrade to my llt Camaro so if you could send me the contact info to your tuner that would be a huge help in getting the right tune to run properly.....thank you in advance.
I would not recommend the tuner I used as he does not respond to anyone anymore and has horrible customer service. I would go local.
@@mistermanage1119 not sure there is anyone in Michigan that does tuning on the fifth gen Camaros.....it's like they just skipped this generation car....I don't get it

@@mistermanage1119 I'm guessing you were dealing with overkill??? If so that's who I was going to buy my sc kit from.... he's the only one I know that does all the brackets for the conversion.
