  • I bought my $4,000 2011 Chevy Camaro RS with failed timing chains. After replacing the timing chains on the 3.6L LLT V6 it was timing to start modding it. 128,000 miles in the car is getting some SS touches and the Hooker Blackheart Race exhaust.

What motorcycle do I ride? A few. Ducati 1198, Honda Goldwing, Honda Grom, Honda Ruckus
What do I do for a living? Make TH-cam videos.
Can you wheelie? No, I suck.
Are you fast? Sort of. I suck mostly though.
Where can I keep up with you off the bike?

Do you go to school? College, for 2 classes.
Why do you ride so dangerously? What do mean? I was doing 25.
Do you go to the track? Of course, hopefully there will be videos in the future.
Do you play video games? No, but I might stream N64 Goldeneye at some point. Twitch: WatchJRGo
Are you afraid the police will watch your videos and arrest you? Something something evidence something something warrants and due process of law

My friend put dual exhaust on a v6 mustang. Sounded good but it was still a v6. He took it to a car show. Nothing beats the sound of a v8. Congrats on the new car!

@@matthewdutoit there's just something about a Camaro and a mustang. My friend tried to make his mustang sound and look like a GT. It was still a V6 mustang. A v6 Camaro with an ss package is still just a v6 Camaro. Sounds like a v10? I had a friend that had a v6 Fiero. He said it sounded like a Ferrari. I'm glad to hear your car makes you weak in the knees. Never really experienced that with a car. My other friend loved Nascar. He would get excited over a v8 with loud exhaust. There is just something about a large displacement engine. :)

@@edfrawley4356 yea that's for 2012 on up. the pre-lfx motor had an exhaust manifold for 3 pots each on each side of the motor. That's how GM pulled more HP out of the 2012+ 3.6 @ 323HP, this car 304 hp I think. I have a 2012, I love it. See my track vids on this car under my ID Tracktoys.

    • @tracktoys9269

@Master Baiter sorry I was a little off, the 2011 and earlier LLT V6's were 312 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 278 pound-feet of torque at 5,200 rpm. The 2012+ V6 Camaros were rated at 323 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 278 pound-feet of torque at 4,800 rpm. with the removal of the exhaust manifolds, changed MAF sensors and other components to boost HP.

this was a good segment JR, like the gauge package upgrade, can never have enough gauges and the exhaust was a good touch also...this should make a great choice for someone wanting a Camaro and not needing all the HP and maybe someone who can grasp the need for routine maintenance unlike the previous owner of this car..I still can't wrap my head around that....lol

I've been watching this #CheapCamaro series and have been impressed about how you brought this beauty back to life. One thing I've noticed, or actually haven't noticed you doing is the the mod on the PCV system. If you don't do it you're going to find your now pristine clean heads all gunked-up with sludge again within about 30-40k miles. The GM 3.6 High Feature V6 are notorious for their heads gunking-up, which constricts oil flow and contributes to the timing chain / VVT / oil consumption issues. It's actually a simple mod where you enlarge the 3 holes on the PCV hose to valve cover connector (it looks like an old school PCV valve on the valve cover). While you're at it you might want to add a quality catch can to further aid in reducing the oil consumption issue. Look it up there are many tutorials for the mod online. Best of luck!
