An American hero and legend. Rest in peace Mr. Norman Lear.❤️
A theif!
RiP in Norman Lear. I'm only 23 but I'm so glad I got to appreciate his work before he passed. All in the family legitimately is my favorite show and still relevant today
I LOVED HIS SHOWES. I WATCHED THEM WITH MY GRAND DAD.
He lived a long, incredible life. Truly one-of-a-kind.
A theif!
He got to do something we were all hoping Betty White was going to do.
@DTD110865 he was a theif! My mother knew when she was a little girl that wyt folks could do whatever they wanted to black folks and get away with it! She passed away 1 year ago. She was 80.
@@journeyman378 What was it that he stole from your mother? I thought you were calling him a thief because he got "All in the Family" and "Sanford and Son" from two Brit-coms.
@@DTD110865apparently he took more from Eric Monte.
I’m can’t stop crying, god bless you Mr. Lear what a comic genius.. R.I.P you will truly be missed❤
We really lost someone who rocked the world off it's foubdation through entertainment. Will greatly be missed.
RIP Norman Lear 😪
RIP sir, you will never be forgotten. 🙏❤️
I loved all Norman Lear shows growing up in the seventies,
What a legend.❤️
A theif!
GOD BLESS HIS SOUL
He was the all time best!! RIP MY FRIEND!!
I cried about this news of Norman Lear. I loved All In The Family as well as many other of these shows he created like The Jeffersons, Good Times, The Facts of Life.💖📺🎹
This was one kind, intellectual, informed, passionate, and ground breaking individual. This kind of programming will never happen again. RIP Norman.
A theif!
i've been going down the all in the family rabbit hole for the past few weeks and was amazed to find out that lear was still alive and outlived so many of the casts of his tv shows. rip
Love this guy!! Rest in peace hero!!
RIP Mr. Lear !!!
In 1977, African American screenwriter Eric Monte filed a lawsuit accusing ABC and CBS producers Norman Lear, Bud Yorkin, and others of stealing his ideas for Good Times, The Jeffersons, and What's Happening!!
If he did not win or they didn't settle. It don't matter!
You’re just not going win trolling this one. The good and important far outweighs the problematic here. So many other white show runners at the time were not willing to portray black people and women the way Norman Lear did: full human beings, proud men, family oriented people, parents who care about their children, respectable businessmen, poor and middle class, women who just so happened to have had abortions. Important representations.
It was open knowledge among screenwriters not to talk about their ideas in front of Norman Lear. I heard this from direct sources in the business, many years ago.
norman lear shd have been stuffed in a garbage can and pee-on then set afire
African American , what specific country in Africa ?
The G.O.A.T. of truth telling thru stick-to-the-brain-AND HEART comedy. Damn, what a gifted, moral giant. Thank you, Mr Lear.
So groundbreaking. RIP
I don't believe in a lot of things, but laughter adding years, I can get behind that.
A brilliant and caring man. The only way to honor him is to fix our broken nation.
I love and respected him...he will be hard to replace ...Rest In Peace Gentle Giant❤
Go with God Mr. Lear.
Thanks for the memories. 💔
All in the Family, Sanford and Son,Maude,Good Times, ,The Jeffersons, Archie Bunker's place, Gloria, all a major classic .Thank you Mr.Lear, we're all going to miss you 😢.
So, why isn't America honoring Eric Monte & Mike Evans, the Writers of good times Eric Monroe owns 1% of Good timed he won his lawsuit and mike evans was never paid good times is based of these BM that we're raised in very dangerous Chicago Cabrini Green, Projects 😡🎬 very interesting lies smh😡😩🤳🎅🙆
What a legend. This man was an absolute genius.
He's an Icon
Rip Norman lear
The Jeffersons is my fave❤
I agree with him, there is too much TV. Thanks for making people laugh and think
I still watch his videos daily. I like the political!
Absolute thief
i wish they would talk about his failures....because most didnt fail because they werent funny, but were well ahead of their time
like "all that glitters"
There was hope back then we could over come the issues, with humor and understanding.
Now it's a mess
His progressive
BS on TV created
today's HATE.

thanks to the christians.

Yes he did . Never forget Archie eating at the dinner table , pausing face towards the audience and letting out that sonic belch !
Let's let them see the re runs first. Too many soo offended by the smallest of things. Gotta get past that, get over yourself and realize life doesn't stop if your feelings are hurt. Toughen up buttercup

I knew scriptwriters from that time. In the hangouts, they would stop talking whenever Norman walked in. He was known for "borrowing" ideas.
He was a
stealing progressive
Hollyweird bully.
I have no sound
not to tarnish a man who's passed on reputation but it's funny how they never gave credit to Eric monte who was the black man who was the one who really wrote the scripts to goodtime and the jeffersons and all the others and norman lear get's all the credit black people catch up on our history google Eric monte find out the truth
The Jeffersons came from all in the family
@@paulpaul9226 it all started from Eric Monte meeting Mike Evan bka Lionel from the jeffersons if not for this introduction none of it would have existed talk to Eric about it
Maybe tv land will have a tribute. Im sure Jimmy Kimmel will have some kind words.
Lol he purchased the popular program British sitcom 🇬🇧 Til death do us part all in the family was a copy from this program.
Greatest snake in world history. Died 101 years too late.
Now in Hell where he belongs.
Somebody tells me about his routine and diet
Most of the shows he created in the 70’s would not be politically correct today unfortunately because too many people would be offended
Or would it???
Normalan lear didnt create all in the family he took the idea for all in the family he bought the right yo recreate he didnt write for good times nor sanford & son & the jeffersons.
He was a thief, without an original idea in his head. Thank God Eric Monte outlived him to see it.
He stole it then put his name on it.
And he exploited the black community 🤨he stole from John Amos and we won't let that slide,God deal with him for that 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽😘❤️🖤💚🙏🏽❤️🖤💚

Big facts I stated this on Thelma post on IG yesterday when she gave condolences to Norman was just the producer Eric was the writer and creator of Good times the Jefferson’s and Cooley high🐐🐐👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
