    Wow it's crazy this is 41 years ago and he was 60. And as I type this I'm just seeing he passed at 101. I was hoping it was just a random video until I saw the news pop up on my phone as I was writing. RIP. Greatest sitcoms in history was from this man

      I was living in Boulder, Colorado when. '"Mork and Mindy" show came on air, which
      took place in Boulder. I lived one
      block East of the famous house
      in the show which was at 1645 Pine St. Good times.

    I like the fact that when Norman sees Robin he stands up and applauds because he knows that Robin is going to be funny. He doesn't get annoyed at Robins antics he just rolls with it and enjoys it along with the audience.

    It was a bit of a shock to see Norman run out! He has been back in the public eye recently, due to Jimmy Kimmel launching recreations of classic episodes. He looked so good cohosting those shows that it was hard to believe that he was 101 - but he was also unbelievably energetic for 60!

    RIP Norman Lear⚘❤ What a talented man, good humor, classy and oh so talented, thank you for the many years of entertainment, I had 4 older sisters and 2 younger brothers for influence in video games and comic books, so whatever my sisters were watching I watched as well, so I was exposed to all genres of interest. Maude, One Day at a Time, Sanford and Son, All in the Family, The Jeffersons.
    2 very great men, Norman Lear and Robin Williams, may they both rest in peace and laughter.

    Who would've thought then that Norman Lear, roughly thirty years Robin's senior, would one day outlive the much younger man by close to ten years? I'm sure Lear, a most kindhearted and empathetic soul who very much deserved his great longevity, would have preferred it be the other way around 😢

    The chairs were always set up so awkwardly on this particular stage...the guest would walk over to shake Dave's hand and then have to walk back around the chairs. I must have seen 15-20 people do the same on these clips, lol.
    RIP to the great Norman Lear. Amazing that he's 59 here...imagine being that age and told you've got another 42 healthy years left.

    First off, I loved Robin Williams ! 😂 But I have been around people on cocaine and unfortunately, Robin was definitely flying 😔 The interrupting, fidgeting, and also the averting of the eyes with Dave when he knew that Dave was annoyed. Well, it was the 80s 🤷‍♂️

    101. Just wonderful in the last few years how they recast & "broadcast" episodes of his groundbreaking television. It's not the standards today that would keep those shows off the air, It's the lack of audience comprehension and 5-Minute attention span.

    Robin is not all that funny here, but I like this very, very early 1980s period of his on talk shows, because he's actually a bit nervous and shy still, so he doesn't do that hyper-active-manic shtick he adopted maybe a year or two later when he appeared in public. Oh, goodness -- that was sooooo grating. But here, he's more restrained.

    I can't take much of Robin Williams the comedian. The actor is great. He never really says much that's actually funny, as Dave points out a few times. He is clearly irritated that Robin came out and has to tell him to wait to talk until spoken to.

      I thought he had moments of brilliance, riffs that worked, but sometimes he was just spitting out non-sequiturs and doing funny voices without point or purpose. Don Rickles was like that, insults that were sharp and then stuff that was just word salad.

    He had a home in VT near where i live, i worked at the local airport were they would fly into and drive to their house, i was 18 or 19,
    His wife looked 20 and gorgeous and she just had a baby, and the piolet came up yo and said he was sorry for leaving the radar on in the airplane as i was taxing the airplane into position for parking.
    I guess the radar can leave you sterile?, i don't know, never had kids though.
