    in ur opinion do u think the d16y8 intake is better then d16z6?

    • @SRDmotorsports
      @SRDmotorsports  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well it really depends and plus as u noticed if u have researched… the y8 is actually hyped…. Like yes it got a bigger plenum…
      Is your motor spinning 9k rpm to benefit it? Nope
      but the y8 runner is lesser equal compared to the z6 so that actually matters more right?
      plus if it’s lacking plenum volume (the d16z6) a bigger TB can help alleviate some of the handicaps… and if it’s for turbo use? Or forced induction? Well u gon turbo and won’t get a skunk2 ProSeries intake? Which is far more superior :)

      @@SRDmotorsportsthanks for answeri really love ur videos!! i have and d16y8 full bolts on, and im thinking put an 60mm throttle body and portmatch it before tunning, then i should use and z6 intake and port match the throttle body to have more gains? what would u do in ur opinion?

    • @SRDmotorsports
      @SRDmotorsports  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah perfect , as I was about to send a second reply lol
      I was gonna say but if u have a d16y8 and Ofcourse a y8 intake, changing to a z6 manifold isn’t really needed I mean the y8 head works well with the y8 manifold as Honda did it
      a 60mm throttle might be real good to benefit from and Ofcourse a decent intake pipe or a cold air intake, should be real good
      it’s also why we sometimes do port a y8 intake

    Your technique is very good but your claims are unfounded unless you Dyno stock vs ported, and measuring cfm with a flow bench. I agree with your knowledge but this is just old Honda Tech threads copied to you tube, nothing innovative.

      Yep and if you know, you know… that’s good sadly not many of today even knows our fav Honda-Tech
      And 3 more forums
      And yep dyno soon as I realized it’s been 2 decades and still no dyno comparison… so why not :) and so soon 😎
      plus running 12.7s on a b16a 81x77 on pump and no slicks with a manifold i ported dyno is here on one of the videos,
      And a b20vtec on pump no e85, no trailer a street car running 12.5s a street car
      Works for what it is, and we all know “numbers” can be manipulated
      Just like I’ve seen 240+ whp on trailer (not a street car) run 12.3s
      And the 225WHP I did does 12.5s granny shifting
      But Ofcourse that’s all local here…

      @@SRDmotorsports Your port work is excellent and all the content you've created is very accurate. There's nothing better than dynos and slip times to back up what we all create it's so satisfying. I'm building a f22a at the moment delta 282 cam, ported and milled head .030, lapped valves, h22 intake manifold full race port and adapter plate, lots of Tig welding the lower plenum underneath and ported to the floor, custom header 2.5" collector, 1000cc denso injectors on e85. Normally I'm building a b,h,d, engine so this will be my first f single jingle pretty simple. Keep up the content and hard work it's very impressive.

That had an identical engine… and to save him some time and cost? I passed it on to him ☹️ to this day I remember it (it was last year)
      As my plan was real close to yours by going Delta too! just to have a “big” sohc
      was gonna scout for an f20b piston to save cost rather than going supertech but if budget allowed I’d have gone forged but maaaaan real close in project as I did plan to use the h22 manifold I have now and I hear ya on the “tig welding” fo sho
