guys for everyone who is trying this, I’ve done research and lifting weights or doing squats doesn’t stunt your growth forever. when you squat, it can take about an inch off your height due to spinal shrinkage, but it all restores back to normal after a night sleep or about a few hours time. but still, don’t change yourself for other people 💕

i was really insecure about my height and almost for 1 month i researched on it despite i never actually tried any of the exercise until i tried squats and skipping and ran for atleast 1 and a half hour, taking 5 min breaks and i lost 1 inch, first i was really shocked not wondering if these exercises will work but i think it would work temporarily or maybe for your lifetime? science doesn't know this but cuz of gravity and your snipe being stretched you can atleast do 10-20 squats in morning and night and if u want short height do daily exercise but it worked for me.
it's definetly the compression of your spine, during the day you lose 1% of your height. If youre 180cm you will lose around 1.8 cm during the day. So if you're 6 foot and a quarter youre 184cm ish. So you probably lost 1.5 cm to 2 cm. And 2 cm is around 0.8 inches. You compressed your spine faster with weights, after doing weights, hang from a pullup bar do some stretches and boom your're back.

The affects that went away in the afternoon because your spine has been expose to the pull of gravity for a long period of time. The workout that you did still had no affects on it because it takes some time for it to bend your spine.
It literally fucking shocked me. I joined a new gym after working out at another gym for 2 months and they measured my height. I was 171cm and somehow I lost 2cm so I'm down to 169cm. I'm already not tall, so I can't afford to lose height. I guess it has something to do with the exercises I've been doing. I've been doing squats, shoulder press and deadlifts.

I think it’s different for everybody, I still lose a decent amount of height throughout the day. But 1.5 inches is CRAZY, especially how you literally lost almost an inch doing pretty much nothing. I wake up at exactly 5’11, and after a day of working out and carrying my back pack around I’ve only lost a little over half of an inch, I was about 5’10 1/2 by the time I go to bed. I only lose that much IF I do weight lifting, if I just normally walk around, I’d probably be like exactly the same height by the time I go to sleep. I’ve never lost even an inch of height before, let alone 1.5 inches

I've been doing as many squats as i can every night and morning within 1 hour taking 2 min breaks for around four to five months now. i was 5'11ft/1.81cm now i am around 5'7.5/172cm i was also getting less sleep so my spine wouldn't restore to its original height. so it definitely does work. i don't have any pain or weakness in my spine or legs and i don't feel tired at all. i sleep at around 11pm and wake up at 5-6am. my goal is to be 5'6/167cm by march 2024.
What happened with Lucas isn't what happened to me, which I'll say later, but I think that it's just to do with your spine stretching and contracting throughout the day. I am pretty short because I started doing workouts when I was nine and I packed on quite a bit of muscle, which is also known as 'newbie gains', but that made me grow muscle instead of get taller. Now I'm 12 and still working out. I'm still short, but not as short as I was compared to the average role model of my age. It's all to do with your body adapting to what you do with it. So, my body traded in the energy for growing taller into growing stronger. I also have a theory that gaining muscle is just your body adapting to feeling weak after workouts because of your muscles being used a lot, which makes your body adapt by building muscle. However the fact that your muscle fibres break down during exercise and build back bigger and stronger counters that theory but hey, it's still a thought.
When you're lifting you're applying more gravity to your joints, hence why you shrink faster during the day. We all shrink during the day anyways, when you get a good night sleep the fluids in your spine and joints restore and you'll notice you're noticeably taller when you get out of bed vs when you're ready to go to bed.
These measurement can differ due to human erorr and not because u have exercised , exercise will always improve our posture( if done in a right manner ).
I am a farmer and I typically shrink from 6'1.2 down to a fraction over 6 ft after a long day. I find that I can maintain just under 6'1 if I take regular breaks, keep hydrated and maintain a decent posture.

It's what happens when you're ectomorphic...Ectomorphs have short torsos and therefore the vertrebrae are more compact...Gravity and weights pulls down on the tissue and makes the vertrebrae closer. Arnold is a prime example of this.
If you take certain vitamins you shouldn't shrink. A doctor TH-cam explains it. Why you shrink and why you don't have to. If you don't wait too long he says you shouldn't shrink anymore

Funny enough daily pullups can make you 1-2 inches taller by how much they decompress your spine and correct posture. If you want to avoid getting shorter from exercise then just do calisthenics instead

Why is he saying 1.5” shorter? That’s wrong. He would’ve been in the 5’10” range then, but he wasn’t, he was still in the 5’11” range. Spinal compression in a day is not THAT extreme. Anywhere from 0.75”-1”

at morning you would be taller like around 2 mm or an inch 1. after 5 or 6 hour of sitting and standing you shrink. gravity pulls you down.

For people who are worrying why he’s shrinking is because when you wake up you have been laying down for hours so that stretches your body then when you lift something heavy you get pulled to the ground which forces the skin to tighten and then you shrink but it’s the same thing the next mroning
your sprine compress during the day, when u wakeup u wakeup the tallest cuz when ur lying down the gap between spinal blocks widen.
For example morning at morning i am exactly 5'11 at night i am 5'10.5. So ur real height is actually morning+night/2. So i still claim 5'11 but i am actually 5'10.75 because i mean who tf cares if am 5'11 at 6 am for only 10-15 minutes.
Lifting weights dont make u shorter, actually makes u taller(cuz its an heavy duty exercise). But it is recommended after age 16 because it stunts bone growth(if you're doing it execessively)(like got abs,pure muscle at 14-16). When u exercise u shorter the muscle tighten it up and it get stronger thats why it gets bigger, but it also stops the bone from growing.
So Till u reach 16-18 do exercises only using ur bodyweight.
Hanging, stretching dont increase height, they only increase height for certain period of time(30m-2h)
If you have long legs u will lose less height during the day. (torso smaller-spine slammer)

It's what happens when you're ectomorphic...Ectomorphs have short torsos and therefore the vertrebrae are more compact...Gravity and weights pulls down on the tissue and makes the vertrebrae closer.
Arnold is a prime example of this.

If you take certain vitamins you shouldn't shrink. A doctor TH-cam explains it. Why you shrink and why you don't have to. If you don't wait too long he says you shouldn't shrink anymore

For me its true... Ive been doing overhead press every evening and I notice that my height reduce. Before Im 5,10 and now Im like 5'8 I did not measure my height for now but I can feel my height reduce to 2 inches.

Funny enough daily pullups can make you 1-2 inches taller by how much they decompress your spine and correct posture. If you want to avoid getting shorter from exercise then just do calisthenics instead

I had normal school days that time , I had to carry 5Kg of bag behind my back till the classroom at 3rd floor and we could only go by stairs instead of lift since it was Staff only and after i came back from School i measured my height and i lost 1 cm but regained it back you just have to do some height increasing exercises after coming back from lifting heavy objects
