Infinite's real name is NOT Zero. That is a FANMADE name.
According to Ian Flynn, he asked Sega what Infinite's real name was so that he could use it in the Sonic Forces prequel comic and SEGA told him that Infinite's real name was just Infinite.
Where exactly did people get that idea name from anyway?
@@donnawright33 It was purely a fanmade name, nothing more, probably got the idea to call him Zero to play off of the phrase "From Zero to Infinity"
I mean it could fit just like they do it where Eggman is the nickname and Ivo Julian Robotnik is his real name.

@@GameControllerNetwork well I'm not saying you're wrong and the other probably aren't either it's just the name people heard and decided to go with it. But you know if Sega do listen to their fans maybe they would have it where Zero is his real name and Infinite is his nickname.
You know, there’s something ironic about having Shadow, a creation of the Robotnik family, be the one leading the charge against Eggman.

Epiloge: After the defeat of Metal Sonic, Null Space ceases to exist. Eggman falls from the sky and lands back into his old base, letting out a dull "Ouch."
Actually, he hit his head in windmill village and got amnesia. And Infinite was fired from the resistance shortly after the events of this what if after showing Shadow his Sonadow file.
I can totally see this version of infinite joining team dark as they’re 4th member
that would be pretty dope
I loved this whole thing. I would’ve never imagined this would be so good or all the turns this what if took, but I would make one change: a more obvious and impactful final boss fight like every other Sonic game. That’s all I have to say.
Sonic Forces didn't give me much to work with, so I thought Phantom Metal Sonic would be a great fight
I’ve been watching your Sonic vids for the past week or so and they’re honestly of stellar quality, especially for such a small channel.
This concept for a potential new Sonic What If series isn’t exactly original, but the more I’ve thought about it the more intriguing it becomes:
What If Dr. Eggman stayed as Mr. Tinker?
Now I know the events of Mr. Tinker and beyond are within the IDW comics and not the games, but it is confirmed that the IDW series is canon to the game continuity, so it wouldn’t be out of left field to make something out of those comics. Part of the idea came from a fan-comic based on this concept as-well as a dub of it.
I’d imagine Eggman’s willingness to ditch his old life would mostly likely chalk down to him losing spectacularly in Sonic Forces, where the one time he succeeded conquering the world for 6 months was shattered by Sonic and The Resistance in only a few days, in addition with the genuine admiration and positivity he’s garnered from the Windmill Village residents as Mr. Tinker after the fact.
Starline, Rough and Tumble however, wouldn’t be having any of it, especially after all the effort and dedication they’ve put in to this whole plan to try and bring back the old Eggman. Capturing Metal Sonic shortly later, Starline makes a slight readjustment to his programming to make him align with Starline after the figurative death of Eggman.
Mr. Tinker treks back to Windmill Village and tells everyone (including the Chaotix and the rest of the Sonic crew present) what occurred when he was kidnapped. Sonic’s thrilled to hear Eggman truly deciding to turn over a new leaf, but Shadow is highly skeptical.
The rest of it though, I’ll leave you to decide.

Awesome video bro! And did you know that as Sonic is a LOZ fan Infinite is basically Sonic's version of Skull Kid/Majora's Mask? And when people first saw Sage in the trailer they actually thought she was Infinite's daughter but since Sega likes to make Zero sense with Eggman being her father. People now say he would be a second father figure to her. People even said that Sage looks like a mix between Infinite and a Seedrian like Cosmo.
Epilouge: Infinite was kicked out of the resistence shortly after these events after interrupting Shadow's binging of Kill La Kill to show him the contents of his Sonadow file.
Honestly this seems like the best outcome
Sure Infinite cant Dragon Balls people back to life(though the emeralds can) but with the Phantom Ruby's power he could use his illusions to rebuild the world back to what it was before Eggman took over

Lemme just say, I loved EVERYTHING about this "What If"!
though the only thing that I thought didn't make sense was, Infinite lost his squad to Shadow who supposedly killed them... if that is still the case here, why would Infinite accept to be recruited into the resistance with Shadow? surely he would hate his guts after what happened!
the only thing I could think of to make sense of this would be that Shadow didn't kill them, and just left them like he did with Infinite. and the squad would leave Infinite because they thought he wasn't worthy of a leader because he couldn't take on Shadow.

What if the master emerald was gone
In this au the master emerald is permanently destroyed
Except for one shard that contains a surprise for sonic aka the person who will be holding on to the shard
Knuckles would blame sonic for it all even though sonic was trying to help
(This could take place at any appropriate time)
Sonic being the the only one to find and hold on to the last shard he soon discovered inside the shard contained no other then Tikal the echidna
Seeing as how the master emerald and chaos were no more she promised to protect sonic and his friends from now on

I did like infinite more here than in the video game, but I still enjoyed the music from the game.

@@GameControllerNetwork And I do mean it. It's giving characters more opportunities to do more, they're doing things that are in character, and Sonic isn't being too main focused. And having an old foe like Metal makes a lot more sense and plus makes up for his lack in being in the game.

@@GameControllerNetwork Would've made a different experience too. But then again, we wouldn't have videos like this, or games made by fans who care about the series. And this is one of them. A more fleshed out story, and what could sound like what the older Sonic games were like, in having you play as different characters that wasn't just Sonic. . .Also Shadow keeping to his morals and what he stands for, with the bits of swearing, chefs kiss!
7:56 I was half expecting Infinite to reply, "criminal? You mean like you, Mr.Property Damage?" Just a small jab at some of Sonic's exploits, like City Escape and all of Unleashed.

According to Ian Flynn, who asked what Infinite's real name was when writing the script for the Sonic Forces digital comic, "Infinite" is in fact the jackal real name.
His name isn’t Infinite, It’s Zero the Jackel. He only became Infinite when he put on that mask.

Zero is a fanmade name, there are no official sources that say that Infinite's name is Zero. There is one source (Ian Flynn, the head writer of the IDW comics) asking Sega (THE CREATORS OF THE GAME) what Infinite's REAL name is and they said his name is just Infinite

Good video but one thing I would change is infinite’s name the reason he’s called infinite in sonic forces is because of the Jackal he became which is why he says in the main game *you may call me infinite* not *my name is infinite* but to give him a regular name you called refer to him as Zero jackal as Zero is his real name
