    Are you interested the law of attraction? This video explains why the law of attraction most likely won't get you what you want... but more importantly, why the law of attraction can't get you what you ultimately want... peace. Practicing the law of attraction results in anxiety, internal conflict, and a sense of lack when you believe your peace is dependent on achieving the goal.

    I do think law of attraction can be very ego-based and selfish. And you risk denying your feelings. You try so hard to only focus on your positive goals, you push any negative feeling away, which then can cause shame or not fully accepting oneself.
    It's important to be truly accepting of yourself, even if you were to have nothing. Many people believe they are not enough as they are....if they have 'this' or that', then they'd be happy, then they'd be successful. They are ego-driven and not in touch with their 'real/genuine' self.

    Thank you. I practiced the LOA for two years and I think it was the most miserable, sad period of my life. I hated feeling sad, I wanted to succeed so much and when I failed, hated myself because I wasn't "positive" enough, or didn't believe enough. I spent two years doing nothing but believing in my dreams. Since I stopped, I finally feel at peace and accomplished much more, without sense of guilt or pressure to feel good. This principle is the worst thing that happened to me. I wish everybody realises it's good to pursue your dreams, but this is way too much.

      The law of attraction is a natural law of the universe that causes us to attract the things in our life that is necessary for our incarnation here. If we use the law to get things that is NOT part of our incarnation, we will find our self drifting from our life's path. This conflict in our destiny, will create ripples in our life, and even though we get what we forcefully attract, it will not satisfy us, because there is this subconscious desire to fulfil our life's real goal ,which may have nothing to do with what we attract. So I want to urge everyone to try a mantra that you will resist the things that are not in your life's path, and seek to find out what is your true life's path. this will be your true happiness. have a great day to you all. and thanks for being a part of my incarnation today

    I used to participate in law of attraction exercises myself and they caused me so much pain and untold suffering. From my experience Visualizations and affirmations raise your expectations of people, places and things and you are left with a constant feeling of being unfulfilled and resentful because of your dreams not being met by life itself. OK there is nothing wrong with having goals and aims but physical effort and dedication is what is needed to achieve, not just imagining it and thinking about it. With life being life we cannot always be winners, this is a natural law of life, no matter how much we are convinced that the law of attraction works. I got sick and tired of always being out of the present moment and hungering for future happiness that does not actually exist.

    I think the point of Law of Attraction is to vividly feel the feelings of peace you'd get from achieving your dream in the here and now. It's like, forget about what state your in now, and feel the feelings you'd have if your dream was already true right now. Noah makes some good point here, but he's misrepresenting what those people teach a little bit. They actually agree with him, more than he realizes.

    • @NoahElkrief
      @NoahElkrief  9 ปีที่แล้ว +40

      kevnar Hey Kevnar, yes, there are people who teach LOA in that way as well. And I agree that this way creates less suffering. And that it can be helpful for some people. But it still creates suffering. If you hate how you feel in a moment, then you picture your dream, that can change your feelings right now. But, you can't live your life giving attention to this imaginary picture in every moment. So when your attention leaves that image, you still have the same judgments about certain feelings being bad, your situation being not good enough, and then anxiety about whether you will ever achieve your dream.

    • @kevnar
      @kevnar 9 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Hope keeps people going, no matter what situation they're in. When you're in a horrible situation, sometimes all you have is the daydreams of a brighter tomorrow. I'm not sure I'll ever believe that visualizing these brighter tomorrows could ever be a bad thing.

      +Noah Elkrief I agree with +kevnar. It's not about Thinking, it's about Feelings. It's not about visualization, it's about the Feelings you feel when you visualize. So you're basically saying the same thing as LOA - you're after the feelings, not the things you think will give you the feelings.

    • @josepborrell6474
      @josepborrell6474 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Yes, I was thinking the same as you at the first part of the video, but at the second part I really got what Noah said. Even if it's only about the feelings, if u are trying to change how u are feeling right now, you are kind of avoiding yourself, therefore is a judgement about the feelings you are feeling at that moment. And that might feel good for a few moments maybe but if u pay attention closely you'll see that you took this action to change your feelings out of resistence to them so sooner or later they will keep coming until you deal with them. In other words, you are changing your feelings because you don't know that if you face the ones who make you want to change your feelings you would already feel how you want to feel. And i'm not saying that out of arrogance, I just realised.

    I feel as though ( with all do respect of course) it would be more correct to say that "ATTACHMENT" creates suffering not the "Law of Attraction". Like the Law of Gravity, The Law of Attraction exists whether you understand it or not. the LOA when taught as I have learned to understand it, actually supports the things that you say: Create peace, ignore the anxious desire, follow your impulses and your life will come together in the best way possible.
    BTW: I love your videos. They teach Eckhart Tolle's mindset in a much more practical, relatable way. Like, i felt a million times better after watching just one of your videos. I'll be a regular visitor. You're adding so much to the world. Very cool. :-)

    I want to get out of poverty. A person will never have peace with themselves unless they are living up to their potential. There is a middle ground. If a person has the goal of providing for their basic needs then those goals can definitley create happiness and give you peace. But if you just want power over others or want things from pure greed then you will never have peace. Setting goals is healthy. Not having goals and drifting through life will create its own suffering.

      Hence, the world is a physical plane for spiritual evolution and all these people "waking up", its part of the process. To have pain and healthy competition is to stimulate growth for the soul. Imagine a world without difficulties, where all are winners, and we're handed things on a silver platter, we would eventually get bored. People using LOA would try to use LOA even harder to outbeat competitors for example, and this would cause more people to "wake up" to the idea of LOA. We must understand that we're all spiritual beings living a human experience, and LOA is one way to enlightenment.

    I respect your opinion, but realizing my dream of traveling the world (4 countries so far), attracting my first real relationship and only true love thus far, going back to college, starting my first business that is steadily growing... I would not describe those things as suffering. And these are all things that i intentionally implemented tactics of the LOA to achieve. The relationship I attracted did bring me suffering, but traveling and school has been great. If anything the only "suffering" that has come into my life is my own FEAR of how powerful and effective the LOA has been in my life. Now I procrastinate and hesitate to write down those lists of what I want, make those vision boards, say those belief-changing affirmations. LOA worked so well in my life that I am down right afraid of it to a certain extent. But I wouldn't describe it as suffering... more like "mysterious", "scary", & "exciting"

      Caressa Clark Hi Caressa, I'm glad you have achieved some of your goals. However, this video addresses two major points. 1) Getting what you want can't get rid of your anxiety, anger, judgments, insecurities, worries about others' opinions, nor sense of lack. In other words, getting what you want can't make you truly fulfilled and happy in your life. 2) How do you know that your thinking created your outcomes and not many other factors such as your actions, the intellect you were born with, the place where you were born, the schooling that you were born into, and millions of other variables that you don't control? Many people that do what you did with LOA didn't get your outcomes, so you can claim they did it wrong, or you can question whether that was the single determining factor that got you the outcomes you wanted. Many people that don't do anything with LOA do get these sort of outcomes. If LOA is the key to getting what you want, then surely people who go against what LOA says and think they aren't good enough and don't deserve anything would never get success or achieve their goals. However, I speak to people all the time who always felt lacking and undeserving and that propels them to keep getting more success in order to try to make them feel better.

      Noah Elkrief i agree 100% with your 1st point ,wanting wealth or success or anything is not a goal,it's a mean to the real goal,happiness or self love.
      On the LOA ,i think you're wrong,if you really want something with all your heart and you put all the will and love you have inside then you'll suceed,the problem is the human ego that screws everything after a while when the results do not come quick enough and destroying thoughts come again and sabotage everything...that's why LOA work very little,the human ego is too strong and quickly destroys your will....

      My introduction to the subject was a book by Michael Losier called "The Law of Attraction; the science of getting more of what you want and less of what you don't want." His book is written very elementary style but this is a good thing. Then listen to Rhonda Byrnes audiobook "The Secret". Listen to it many times.
      On my page, I have a playlist called "Law Of Attraction" where I occasionally add the best videos from youtube that I have found on the subject. There are a few songs that I feel greatly relate to the Law of Attraction, but most of the videos are educational. Books such as "Think and Grow Rich" & "As A Man Thinketh", which can be found on youtube. Some topics you should look into are auto-suggestion, vision boards, visioneering, meditation, and changing limiting beliefs through the power of affirmations. Get rid of your clutter, and paint your bedroom a soft mint green. I studied a little bit of feng shui, green is the color of balance, peace, and growth. Put a large low-sunlight needing plant in your bedroom, such as a peace lily. Be aware of the pictures and objects you have in your home... think about the message they send and the energy they give off. Are they in line with what you say you want in life? I am no expert, and I could go on and on, but here is a start :)

    thanks noah. those r some great thoughts. the law of attraction is motivated by pride and ego. most ppl use it for money, women/men, respect. but money doesn't make us happy (some of the most miserable people r billionaires, they r isolated and cannot relate to their fellow poor man), women/men don't make us happy (look at the rate of divorce in our country), respect does not make us happy (no one will respect us all the time and if they do there is something wrong with us, we need to be vulnerable and capable of mistakes NOT SUPER HUMAN). and even if u get those things u will feel cheated because u did it through visualization. talk about a matrix trip. we all just want peace and people who we love and who love us. many religions talk about the best state of the soul often comes to those with a humble amount of income. many use the secret to be respected by society, but society is just an imperfect culture. we r not meant to be great by cultural standards, but by moral standards of being a good person. look at the people in the world who caused the best healing to our world. they were not necessarily respected by others. nelson mandela was imprisonated, martin luther king was shot. im glad u exposed the secret noah, ive tried it before and it brought me suffering too.

    He spoke a lot of wisdom here but unfortunately he missed out on the solution. He is very correct when he said that the law of attraction brings suffering. The reason why this happens is because although you try to visualize that the outcome has "already happened" with your conscious mind, the subsconscious knows you are not being honest with yourself and is CRAVING for the outcome through the back door. This creates stress. The solution is to NOT try to manifest anything using the law of attraction but rather to be content moment after moment in the present regardless of the circumstance. And a practical step by step method is explained by Vipassana meditation (The teaching of the Buddha). May all beings find the true path to happiness.

    I agree with Vanessa and Kevnar, Noah is talking here about a misinterpretation of the LOA that many poeple do have and that obviously just creates more suffering. I have also watched alot of Abraham Hicks material and it really rings true with me because they explain that we (who we really are, not the mind) are worthy of anything we desire, no judgement, no earning anything, we are worthy of peace and happiness! The idea behind visualization is to trick your mind into letting you feel peace and happiness for a moment, which changes your vibration and possibly gets a more ''positive'' (just something that feels better) momemtum going which will consequently bring about your desire, but as Abraham explains that's not the goal, the goal is to feel happy and peaceful, the rest just follows because it is a law (like gravity)!! So, as Kevnar said, LOA (the real thing) is very much in line with Noah's ideas! Also, Abraham point out many times that if you are visualizing with an underlying feeling of lack or if the visualization causes a feeling of lack then it will never work and your true feeling is too far away from the idea which you wish to create, you must in that instance be more general, which is pretty much what Noah is teaching in his videos, just ceasing to identify with your thoughts and feelings and looking for a way to feel more peaceful. Thank you Noah, your videos are very helpful! Don't you think it could be possible for someone to visualize to feel better and instead of suffering the rest of the time, just use your tricks to not identify with feelings of lack and unworthyness, why do you say that someone who visualizes must feel the absolute opposite the rest of the time? You say many times in your videos that when we are watching a movie, we don't feel fear or depressed or whatever, well visualization is just a mental movie and you get to choose what happens, so why not have fun with it, just like eating ice-cream or playing a sport, it just gives you a chance to let go of the non-stop negative thought process. And of course i'm identifying it as negative, if it wouldn't be why would you be trying to help anyone get rid of it!!! The goal is to feel good, and yes, feeling good feels better, everyone knows that, that's why you do what you do right? Why would you be wanting to help anyone to feel differently if every feeling was just neutral and the same?

    The way I see it: When you feel the peace and happiness witin first, then positive things just seem to come magically to you in synchronistic form. And it might not be the things that you actually expected that you really wanted. Which then shows you what you really need to feel peace and happiness within. - Just a thought :)

      Noah Elkrief Well I guess you wouldnt know untill you experience it and then the process starts over? I felt like the law of attraction really worked for me in completely crazy ways a couple of years back, when I started to try it out for fun. Things would just seem to pop out of the blue air. But maybe it was just something that I thought? Its hard to know :)

    • @NoahElkrief
      @NoahElkrief  10 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Lisbeth Mcdonald Hi Lisbeth, all you know for sure is that something happened. To say "this created that" is an assumption which we don't know to be true. Also, to say "It was good that this happened" is an assumption we don't know to be true. But, on top of that, when we say "It worked", what was the ultimate goal? Peace & happiness. So did getting what we want eliminate the anxieties, insecurities, judgments, and worries about others' opinions? If not, then even if the premise "thinking the right way gets you what you want" was true, then it still doesn't "work" in that it doesn't get you the peace and happiness you really want.

    • @LisbethSneEngel.1979

      Noah Elkrief Thank you very much for the great feedback :) And well yes I guess you are right in that way, that it could cause more frustration than actually giving you peace and happiness in the end. I guess the ultimate goal would be to feel peace no matter the circumstances in your life. Interesting topic :)

    Noah you have many great points in this video. The one that really struck a chord with me is that our ultimate motivation is inner peace. I disagree that the Law of Attraction creates suffering and would like to argue that would mean that every time someone believed in the law of attraction they would suffer by laws of cause and effect.

    Thank you for your message . You’re right when someone one became attached to external or out of control condition. But my understanding the law of attraction is in two way, one is live in this moment (present, now, here ). And Second, I am happy, I am healthy , I am love.......... the things I do not control I accept . but I am love that I am............the thought that from inside me.

    I am still a person who always has goals in my life. When I achieved my goal, sometimes I experienced emptiness and I don't know why. Then I just set the next goals. Maybe I didn't ask myself "How do I hope to feel after I achieve my goal?". Sometimes I beat myself up because not achieving my goals, but I am learning to appreciate and being grateful for this moment, being in the present, feel happy in the moment and also have goals and direction in life. When I know I can't live long enough to have long-term goals, I just live in the moment and not desire or want much things in life. What if I die tomorrow, I don't know what will happen but I will learn to appreciate and be more in the moment. Thank you for reminding me by this video.

    Hi Noah,
    I have watched majority of your videos thus far and I’m truly admiring the philosophy that you’re conveying to us.
    It’s full of wisdom and enlightenment.
    I found your teachings amazing, already influencing ways of approaching my life and its happenings.
    Although I watched most of your videos I’m writing my comment under this particular one as this one has had a profound effect on how I view things.
    I very much followed the Law of Attraction / The Secret and I have to say I become increasingly anxious about enforcing the visualisations and believe that things will happen and staying constantly positive started exhausting me, disallowing me to be naturally sad when I needed to be. I was worried that things will not happen because I allowed feelings of frustration, upset and helplessness into my being.
    You just explained that all it’s ok no matter how we feel, it’s essential to have positive thoughts but also feeling down is ok and that it will not spoil some outcomes in our lives.
    I’m not diminishing the value of what they (the secret) are teaching, I just feel uncomfortable with the pressure of needing to be happy when one doesn’t feel like it.
    After watching this video I suddenly feel free, natural, actually happy in many aspects of my life.
    One person has mentioned in their comment that they spent lots of time in counselling but one of your videos has opened their eyes and changed their perspectives on life for the better and I agree with them! I feel that way as well.
    Although the words of humble ‘thank you’ are not enough to express the gratitude for your work saying THANK YOU is all I can express 😊

    The fact that the opposite is also true is something that most law of attraction teachers don’t want to admit. I wanted to manifest winning a camera and I visualized for about two weeks, putting in as many entries as possible, had the assumption that it was already mine. Even looked up TH-cam videos of tutorials on how to use it and thought about what I would take pictures of. But I didn’t win it. I do, however, believe that I will manifest it in another way. Law of attraction is always working, but you really just can’t depend on one or two methods of trying to achieve your dreams. The universe may want you to get creative.

    • @mikeytobago
      @mikeytobago 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love you Noah, you are amazing but this explanation does not make sense from what I know to be true about the law of attraction. The law of attraction is about feeling the feelings of gratitude of where you are NOW so that you continue to receive abundance. It really is a very positive message. If people go into it thinking its about thinking hard and getting stuff then yes they will suffer but that is not the true basis of LOA.

    Success may give you inner peace.. if success is your goal. But it's all an equation. If you start from the inside of you.. meditating.. looking inside your feelings and being aware of thoughts and working on mindfulness meditation.. you can improve your inner peace. Just feeling that little bit more peaceful will tilt a significant amount of your life aspects for the better. And in that way.. just being on the right vibration and working hard, you will succeed... just like turning around the equation.. simple as that. Don't overcomplicate, start from within yourself.

    While it is truth, that reaching the goals themselves will not make anyone automatically happy neither will it make anyone automatically unhappy or create suffering. Your loa understanding is incomplete as it does say, that things can't come unless we let go of them and truly enjoy our life first as it is now, and unless we feel first the feelings, that we think would go with the manifestations we want. Visualizing itself is just a tool to help people to feel better, although for me being in the moment feels much more fun.

    Hi Noah! Your videos are excellent. This one was unique. It sounds like you are actually describing idle material visualization and confusing it with Law of Attraction.
    I was taught that Law of Attraction includes visualization, self-knowledge and (most importantly) *action*. This is not to say that LOA is some great idea to follow. LOA is a basic concept (out of many), and I agree that it -- standing alone -- creates suffering.
    Thanks for posting this. I just don't believe LOA is the same as the kind of idle visualization that you described it as.

But visualizing myself as an experiencer of my life seemed to put a different perspective. Now I can see myself as not the owner of thoughts, feelings, or actions, nor responsible for any outcome in my life. It definitely feels more peaceful to release ownership and responsibility.

    Dear Noah, thank you for the video. Some studies reveal that we cannot control our thoughts, only focus or give attention to or entertain certain thoughts for short periods of time. So my question is if a person most of the time thinks negatively about themselves, especially if that person has made some bad decisions in the past, and now realises it, according to the LOA he now creates a downward spiral because he tracks only feelings of guilt and shame.

    I agree that we're looking in the wrong places if we think external things will make us happy. I think that it's within us to feel whatever way we want. We all make a decision to feel whatever way we do. I tend to focus on the intangibles because I realize these are what really lasts. Having material things don't mean anything if deep down you are unsatisfied with yourself and life in general.

    it is very disputable question , Noah, whether strong belief can make the dream come true or not, but I will tell you this: I was born and raised in former Soviet Union ,my grand parents who brouht me up first 5 years reassured me that I was most talented and worthiest guy on earth and first 20 years of my life I was the winner in whatever I took- from school marks to sport records , from being informal leader to first prize winning in all the contests. AND THIS FEELING OF SUPERLATIVITY MADE ME HAPPY.My direct parents vica versa persuaded me in my ordinary , very modest abilities and I gradually was reduced to regular loser and extremely unhappy now. The inner peace is important of course, but achieving the goal by using Law of Attraction is very crucial for being happy.

    I totally agree with your perspective about the law of attraction and the effort associated with it causing suffering. Like anything, I really think it depends on who is teaching it and who is practicing it. I don't practice it myself because of misconceptions about it but have recently been listening to Abraham Hicks, who speaks of this idea as the 'Art of Allowing', based on the idea that life is abundant and positive, but it's our resistance to this flow and our higher selves that causes suffering. So 'she' reminds us to just find better feeling thoughts and activities, like think about what's working in our lives, and forget about achieving our goals because the 'the universe' knows what you want already since you're always giving out signals/desires without even realizing it. So no strong effort is needed, the path of least resistance. It's an interesting perspective. The law of attraction isn't really about positive thinking, in fact that sometimes creates more resistance. It's about finding ways to feel better, to create less resistance. It's something that inherently exists like a law of physics or something, and it's about what vibration we're giving out instead of just what we're thinking. We can think something until the cows come home, but many times we believe or 'know' something else to be true, which is what we can create or attract. Like I may worry I'm going to fail a test, but really I have an underlying confidence because I've passed many tests before and I'm just focusing on worrying. So the dominant underlying belief will lead the way. But I think the most important thing is to forget about any end result and find ways to feel good, have gratitude, etc, anything will do. And your videos help with that a lot! In fact, what you teach stops the momentum of negative thought, kind of like meditation does. It's pretty neutral, which is definitely the path of least resistance :)

    • @NoahElkrief
      @NoahElkrief  9 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Vanessa Spielman Hi Vanessa, thanks for sharing your perspective. That is definitely a way that would provide less suffering, but it would still create suffering. The reason why is because it is still based on the idea of better/worse thoughts, feelings, environments etc. You can't think one anything is better without judging something else to be worse, and that dynamic perpetuates all your suffering in life.

      +Noah Elkrief Years ago when I began my search for truth, peace, the meaning of life:) I first came across LoA .... I only stayed there a bit, as it didn't satisfy me. I do like nice things and good relationships but I was looking for something more ... knowing there was something beyond the 'wanting' or desiring and I'm not putting down 'wanting'. Through these years of 'seeking' ... studying spirituality, doing meditation ... etc ... I did have bouts of depression and anxiety ... and it was not so easy ... Now in the last few years I have been listening to Abraham Hicks and I have to say that when I make 'effort' ... let's say when I wake up in the morning and I feel down, sad, anxious, etc ... and I open the drapes and sing a happy song I can feel my energy start to shift ... or I focus on nature and shift my energy .... basically what I'm doing is not paying 'attention' to the thoughts or sensations' I was having the moment before ... the ones that were making me uphappy or anxious, sad etc ... I have found that in order to keep my energy at the level of 'happy' .... I do have to keep making 'effort' unless some fun things are happening ... so all of THIS is 'out there' .... EXTERNAL .... and that's fine, but it can lead to feeling like ... I'm not very good at this, etc .... However, during the times in my life when I meditated on a consistent basis, without any agenda .... it seemed thoughts slowed way down or didn't affect me ... like passing clouds ... and I could go about my day .... I do like some of the ideas of Abraham ... but I feel that many can end up feeling "I can't do this right' .... but they are often looking for the 'manifestation of the thing or person ..... Abraham say just get Happy but that too has a effect ... in that IF you can't then you have failed ...
      Just recently, I have felt very unmotivated ... sad, teary .... what I used to label as depression ... and it came to me to just get 'quiet' and sit with myself ... and interestingly enough ... I hardly had any thoughts ... or very few ... it was quite peaceful .... after getting up the day went pretty nicely ... and then the next day was 'bumpy' .... the mind wants to judge :) So again we are back to believing the though or making it 'not okay' to have a 'bumpy' day .... if we SEE all feelings/emotions ... as our 'orphan children' wanting to be welcomed back home ... we don't judge but give them space .... it is non resistance .... when I'm not fighting ANYTHING I'm relaxed and at peace .... and in the moment .....
      I wrote this in the middle of the night ... but hope perhaps it makes some sense ... I LOVE your videos dear Noah .... they are simple and very practical and I also love that you are keeping your language very 'mainstream' so it will attract way more folks to be able to HEAR what you have to say .... soooo many are 'spiritual teachers' who studied with some guru and ... what they say has lots of value but most mainstream people are going to toss it right away because of preconceived 'mental concepts':) I can listen to both and sense the kernel of truth in ALL ... but then I've been at this for years :) Currently having a bumpy time and as you mentioned in another video .... this can bring greater 'opening' .... but 'sitting' or meditating certainly slows down the commentary ... most of the time :) Thanks again !! Mahima ~

    The second question is the critical one. We are fairly skilled at seeing the future to a certain degree but we are clueless when it comes to knowing how we will feel in that future should we obtain it.

  • @awakeningmatters1111
    @awakeningmatters1111 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I like how you see the bigger picture to things. Abraham Hicks teachings LOA as in reaching for the feeling by being unconditional in the way we feel instead of depending on the manifestation to create the emotion because what we want is the essence that is within it. She also has explained that when we have a desire for something and we don’t get what we desire it can create split energy because we are making the happiness something outside of ourselves instead of being it or like I like to call it just simple being ‘in love’ which is the essence within everything we want and if we resonate with what we love that must mean we are that. so I came to realize that LOA has to do more with feeling than thinking. We attract more through our heart and the way we feel because we can think about anything and still feel the way that we feel.

    So what he's saying is that ultimately all humankind wants is "peace", but isn't it so ironic that every single tombstone is engraved with R.I.P. (Rest In Peace). I'm pretty sure nobody wants to die just to achieve that want: peace. So most of us set goals and strive to achieve them not because we think it will make us happy but more so because we live a long time and our minds were not wired to killourselves or each other but we're wired to "live".

    So glad somebody is finally taking an opposition to all this law of attraction stuff. I do think it can help regarding the "you feel what you think" idea but I did get the impression while practicing it for a while that I startet to have a lower opinion of what I am right now because I realized that I wasn´t the person I was visualizing. It stressed me out a lot and I thought I "was doing this wrong" or my thoughts are just not good enough or whatever. Nice to hear some other prospects concerning this theory.

    Excellent practical advice. The laws of probability, in accordance with natural law, will always overrule one person's desires, unless what you desire has a stronger probability of happening than any other possibility and does not conflict with natural law. The belief in the LOA by so many people underlines just how poor our math education has become.

    I agree however we are in a physical body, so we can have physical experiences, which pushes our evolution, perhaps our desires or desired achievements are a way to experience a greater spectrum of our physical reality

    it really does. the awareness can open up to see how false it is if your suffering is big enough. Loa leaders are literally inducting people into a version of a false reality that creates so much stress and clinging. what will really bring you happiness is learning to release all that stressed you and your stressful beliefs. then you'll likely know more of what is than what isn't

    Look up Echart Tolle and Adyashanti. Both teach this. Its crazy how we love to construct our own misery. Its like we are addicted to the pain it creates. Its like our mind trick us so we can sustain life through pain and suffering. The world seems to do everything it can to hold you back into the old pattern of beliefs.

      That's so incredibly true. We definitely are for the most part addicted to our pain & suffering. I feel this is because we get used to it so much that it becomes the only reality we know. Trying to visualise/feel living in peace & happiness seems like an absolute impossibility. And also perhaps deep down we feel like we don't 'deserve' that.
