  • So many of us believe we have to be special to lovable and worthy. But what if you deserved just as much love regardless of how good you are at anything?

    I found your vidoes when I was 17. I was going threw a really bad time in my life. I was planning on committing suicide. But just out of the blue I ended up stumbling upon your youtube channel. You don't know this but your videos saved my life Noah. I'm now 21 almost 22 and I still watch your vidoes religiously. I can't begin to thank you enough because I'm the happiest I've ever been. I can finally look myself in the mirror and be able to say I actually love myself. I'm crying writing this comment but I just wanted too let you know you saved my life Noah. Thank you for all the vidoes over all these years ❤️

    This is exactly how we, as a collective, have become narcissistically wounded. It's a collective trauma that we're all carrying, but that no one dares to admit due to being seen as "lacking".
    The trick to heal from this is realizing that every validation we seek from outside is a validation we didn't get from our parents, and as we now are our own (inner children's) parents, we're the only ones that can give ourselves the validation that we so desperately crave.

    I think the fact that our prehistoric ancestors originated in tribes of 150 people or less we each had unique talents and abilities that were honed in order for the tribe to survive. Now we are part of a worldwide society that has 7 billion and we feel greater competition to stand out from the crowd and therefore have a greater urge to equate specialness with loveability and self worth. I believe our parents know how competitive the real working world is today and can instill a sense of loveability in us when we do as they desire since they're trying to prepare us for our future bosses, partners and colleagues that demand so much since we live in such a disposable and replaceable society that values novelty and efficiency over quality relationships.

    Noah I think we all think we are special. We are all special. I have never been able to make a video but I like yours and trying to just #payitforward because you seem to make videos for the right reasons and its a shame that even channels like my favorite wrestling commentary and Little Iron Sheik. I absolutely love watching these videos. They brighten my day and give me light because of the bizarre rants of the Iron Sheik but to me its purely comedy. But my sister and brother think Im completely unnormal. They think Im special so how do I just convince them to love the Iron Sheik as much as I do? Help me Noah! I love the realest shooter wrestler of all time? But the Iron Sheik goes on say Howard Stern and drinks and curses and plays a character so one other question how would someone recover from embarrassing themselves on social media? Dont think this is a reference unconsciously to you its actually about how I behave on TH-cam? I really do love the Howard Stern show and I love WWE wrestling as well as the Iron Sheik. Peace out and hope you can simply write a real message. I like that you read comments but I think engagement is alot better but if you are busy thats cool too.

    What if you believe every baby doesn't deserve love? This might get a lot of hate but I don't know if I would want to continue raising a baby if he/she is dysfunctional far from the norm. It might be better for everyone if the baby didn't live. (Just my personal opinion)

    Hi Noah, I've been following you for years, but I have to say, I don't buy this argument. Isn't the world materialistic? Isn't it a competition, regardless of whether we believe it or not? To use your analogy, we are all songs desperate to be heard, to be listened. We need to be heard, to be loved, it's imprinted in our DNA, in our instincts. We all have the same behavior patterns that, when we aren't loved, compel us to feel bad, so that we do something about it, because this is a competition to survive. If you don't, then your genes are eliminated, good bye! Yes, there are good upbeat songs, and there are good sad songs, but they are all ... good. Because not all songs are good, some are trash, some are just meh. Think of a song you like. Now think of one you don't. The distinction is clear, right? It's a special (meaning better) song for you. Now, if I am a song, from my perspective, I need to be something someone loves, because otherwise I won't be heard. I need to be better than others, and I don't even care if I'm an upbeat or sad song...

      What if you looked inside for everything you're looking for instead of outside? What if what happens outside is a reflection of what's happening inside?

    • @Lebo_housos1983
      @Lebo_housos1983 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Noah Elkrief this isn’t law of attraction bs which I know you’ve made a videos saying it doesn’t work or is this more eckhart tolle saying. If you get the inside right, the outside will fall into place. Primary reality is within; secondary reality without.
