Awesome video and amazing that ur explaining what they do, I do have a tip which might make it easier for other players. You could make it compare by using a multi screen, so when you're comparing between 2 things split the screen so its easier to see what the difference is instead of going into settings and swapping the settings

Just want to add a note on mip streaming: I get severely increased loading screen times (2-10x), as well as frequent crashes (30-50% of the time) on raid end/ extract when I have mip streaming enabled.

Great Video. I am surprised you did not talk about NVIDIA Control Panel and the settings in there as well. Do you think they do not making much of a difference overall?
I haven't been able to see too much of a difference on my end with most settings, but I need to do a thorough retest. For now, I explained all of the settings in this video: th-cam.com/video/ZbsYc6hwYdo/w-d-xo.html
I honestly prefer to have my settings all cranked up to max (not view distance or lod tho) and having all the bottom options turned on aswell, while leaving post fx off. Pairing it with dlss set to quality just for extra fps and it looks uber cinematic for me. Personally I feel like dlss looks smoother and cleaner than taa does even if its somewhat blurrer still. And the insane visuals make up for that as well so I cannot complain. I honestly recommend you do this at least for a scav run at one point or something klemintime just to gaze at what I see! XD
Hi Klemi love your content can you recomand me a texture resolution for a 16GB video card whit 16 GBs of ram? specs: R7 7700x RX 7900GRE 16GB DDR5 5600MHz thank you!
can confirm MIP streaming still does that as of February. I'm assuming its broke because in previous wipes it never was this bad. Or maybe its a 3070ti thing, because I do have that GPU as well. My best are on the game though
This might seem dumb, guys, but, my bios for reason was clocking my 3600mhz ram at 2120mhz. I fixed it and literally doubled my fps. TL;DR check you RAM clock speed and use xmp in bios to fix it if its set slower than it's made to be.
Very glad I saw this comment. I have the same cpu but I need a new motherboard with an AM5 socket, and I plan to upgrade to a 3080 ti or a 4070 ti. Can I ask- what motherboard do you use? I have 2 or 3 that im interested in, ones not too expensive-the other 2 are a decent amount. Very curious as I do NOT want to use an AMD gpu, i’d rather stay with nvidia. Thanks man
I appreciate you tickling the aspect ratio shenanigans in this. Personally, if you need to cheese your ratio to be able to hit a target, you're already admitting you need a handicap vs a normal opponent, and the attitudes of most of those "pro" guys when they lose any fights basically screams the same issues.
Funny how he shows how different settings looks like and all of them looks better (here, on utube) than in my game :) I wish to have FRS 1.0 looking like that and have 60 fps stable :( It is also cool that you can compact this video into one phrase "there are some settings in the game, I will tell you what they do, but you have to test them yourself" :D Brilliant job! So basically bait title ;)
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I know the title is a little clickbaity, but sometimes you gotta get the audience's attention to tell them a truth they weren't expecting :)
Open any video about settings from up to 3, maybe even 4 years ago@@klemintime1452 . Same stuff. And most ppl will see that, so wasting their time they wont appreciate. On the other hand you had 1 or 2 "confirmed" info about 1 or 2 settings, so you could do alooot shorter video with that, and a sumamry like "nothing changed, also you have to test stuff yourself either way" - would be alot better. Just a suggestion, do as you wish.
I have a 4090 and 5800x3d at 1440p. No matter what settings I change it's a little random how the game will respond and you likely still be within two 2 or 3 from lowest to highest of any setting. I also think you can see a slight benefit to super sampling in this game which is okay if your resolution and GPU mismatch this much in a highly CPU bound game but it does currently bug out the hide out. Dropping down to a 11GB 2080ti it super sampling caused noticeable framerate drops. And keep in mind (especially if you are a streamer) Nikita hates you turning down the settings and will have scavs one shot you more if you do. 😏
One of the issues i'm having with this patch is that i'm getting these micro stutters that cut my sound for like a second, if i use any scope with magnification it will give me more stutters on top of the double render issue the game has with scopes, my settings had no issues last patch, and i even got a brand new M2 drive, i've tried many settings but nothing so far, my PC specs are: GPU: RTX 3070 TI FE 8GB (updated to the last version) CPU: AMD RYZEN 7 5700G RAM: 2 sticks of 16 gb each 3600 mhz with XMP profile on Disk: Kingston M.2 drive 1TB gen 4 (brand new) Windows 10 updated to the last version and as a side note, this Stutters are only happening with tarkov, i play War thunder, fallout 76, and many other games with no issues.
i appricate the "dumb" downed explination to ppl that are not IT tech guru's , i always liked tech stuff but things has become so complex that i've just get lost. however i struggling with most games with a ryz 9 3900x cpu rx 7800 gpu 16gb 32gb ddr4 ram and a very good .nmve 2 ssd why i have no idea . ive have more issues with this then back when i had aq 980gti wich says quite alot, however not come half way tru you're video so i'æll coninue watching but i appicate you taking the time making it. subbed and a
VSYNC unlocks framerate.. sounds wrong, but Tarkov is the exception lol Pretty much only useful in raid if you have a 4090.. But I like having unlocked fps in the menus as it's super smooth navigating and moving things around
Thank you for the complete explanation of everything. I prefer this rather than "just use this" videos that I'm used to. Do you think Streets might be playable this Wipe for 16gb RAM? I was able to play all the maps but Streets. I have a Ryzen 5 3600 and a RTX 2060 (I know...quite old PC).
Thats gonna be really rough on streets, even with low textures. You simply do not have enough system memory, and may have to resort to something like the page file tweak BSg suggested forever ago to ensure that your system doesn't run out of memory.
If I had to take a shot in the dark, it might be to do with the "disable fullscreen optimizations" tweak that was floating around, though I am not sure, honestly. That's extremely odd.

@4:15 correction on this,,, FOV can affect performance. And quite a bit if you have lower vram or slower GPU in general
SSR ultra gang...it isn’t pretty all the time but when it hits it’s glorious
Thanks for the awesome vid and the time stamps
Great video, thanks! Dropped a sub
best video, other settings videos literally made my fps worse, ur the goat
Great Video. I am surprised you did not talk about NVIDIA Control Panel and the settings in there as well. Do you think they do not making much of a difference overall?
I haven't been able to see too much of a difference on my end with most settings, but I need to do a thorough retest. For now, I explained all of the settings in this video: th-cam.com/video/ZbsYc6hwYdo/w-d-xo.html
to show shadow quality you could go factory as its constant levels of light
Thanks for your work as always ❤❤
I honestly prefer to have my settings all cranked up to max (not view distance or lod tho) and having all the bottom options turned on aswell, while leaving post fx off. Pairing it with dlss set to quality just for extra fps and it looks uber cinematic for me. Personally I feel like dlss looks smoother and cleaner than taa does even if its somewhat blurrer still. And the insane visuals make up for that as well so I cannot complain. I honestly recommend you do this at least for a scav run at one point or something klemintime just to gaze at what I see! XD
Just the video I needed, thanks bub
Glad I could help man! :)
Hi Klemi love your content can you recomand me a texture resolution for a 16GB video card whit 16 GBs of ram? specs: R7 7700x RX 7900GRE 16GB DDR5 5600MHz thank you!
Try medium and see how you fair. If you aren't overflowing VRAM or RAM, try high for a scav raid.
mip streaming still worth it on streets sometimes because it gets rid of a lot of the stutters, has a ton of bugs this wipe but
Great video!
can confirm MIP streaming still does that as of February. I'm assuming its broke because in previous wipes it never was this bad. Or maybe its a 3070ti thing, because I do have that GPU as well. My best are on the game though
If I play in Borderless, what are the best property settings? Like enabling full-screen optimizations, etc
This might seem dumb, guys, but, my bios for reason was clocking my 3600mhz ram at 2120mhz. I fixed it and literally doubled my fps.
TL;DR check you RAM clock speed and use xmp in bios to fix it if its set slower than it's made to be.
Or D.O.C.P. if you have an AMD motherboard
@127twilson it's a-xmp on my amd board
Thank you for explaining this all to my monke tarkov brain😂
Thx bro just subbed 👍🏼
thank you so much man. thanks to you I was able to raise my FPS so the game is actually playable for me now.
Awesome to hear, dude. Glad I could help :)
will try these with my 4080 and 7800x3d combo, nice video, keep up the good work !
Thanks man
also, hows the performance?
I have asrock b650e Taichi Lite, performance is great, u wont regret it!
That's exactly what I was thinking, but don't tell anyone or else they'll get pissy xD
Happy to know reflex is fixed cause I gave up on spamming offline raids to check my settings a while ago
I spam them for you lmao
I only got 4 gb of vram I think that might be destroying my performancw
if you feel like taa is too blurry at any setting, try off at a 0.3 sharpness in game, i like my jagged edges though
Thanks you. Very well done video.
Funny how he shows how different settings looks like and all of them looks better (here, on utube) than in my game :) I wish to have FRS 1.0 looking like that and have 60 fps stable :(
It is also cool that you can compact this video into one phrase "there are some settings in the game, I will tell you what they do, but you have to test them yourself" :D Brilliant job!
Very good video thank you for the information 👍
That left hand shot filthy
We style on them a little bit
One of the issues i'm having with this patch is that i'm getting these micro stutters that cut my sound for like a second, if i use any scope with magnification it will give me more stutters on top of the double render issue the game has with scopes, my settings had no issues last patch, and i even got a brand new M2 drive, i've tried many settings but nothing so far, my PC specs are:
GPU: RTX 3070 TI FE 8GB (updated to the last version)
CPU: AMD RYZEN 7 5700G
RAM: 2 sticks of 16 gb each 3600 mhz with XMP profile on
Disk: Kingston M.2 drive 1TB gen 4 (brand new)
Windows 10 updated to the last version
and as a side note, this Stutters are only happening with tarkov, i play War thunder, fallout 76, and many other games with no issues.
i appricate the "dumb" downed explination to ppl that are not IT tech guru's , i always liked tech stuff but things has become so complex that i've just get lost. however i struggling with most games with a ryz 9 3900x cpu rx 7800 gpu 16gb 32gb ddr4 ram and a very good .nmve 2 ssd why i have no idea . ive have more issues with this then back when i had aq 980gti wich says quite alot, however not come half way tru you're video so i'æll coninue watching but i appicate you taking the time making it. subbed and a
Thanks!
Thank *you* for watching! :D
i have same CPU (13600k) and 3060ti and get about 110 fps on woods on medium/low. 1080p. Does this seem normal?
I would say so, but I would still recommend you experiment with higher settings, you might gain some fps even
i had on+boost for the start of the wipe and it absolutely trashed my frames, ill try it on just "on" and test it out ty
More videos regarding performance need to be like this. Thanks for all the good info
im pretty sure in 99% of every other tarkov guide video you will see the exact same settings
Thank you for answer! A bit sad but maybe I should retire my computer already and get something new...cheers mate@@klemintime1452
Off rip I finally know why my game freezes for so long when it hit escape the first time
Good day, KlemInTime! Thank you for your job, friend.
How do you think why i have much more FPS (+20-30) in borderless than in fullscreen?
If I had to take a shot in the dark, it might be to do with the "disable fullscreen optimizations" tweak that was floating around, though I am not sure, honestly. That's extremely odd.
