I had to replace the actuator motor on my 2008 Hyundai Entrouge 2 two times in the past and it looks like I have to do it again now. Glad to have this video handy.

Thanks for saving me tons of money and just fixed my 2006 Kia Sadona sliding door but one thing you left out in order to get to the sliding window bracket you must have the window up if not you can not pull out the window bracket...Thanks anyway for saving me MONEY.

Great video! I did this today and ran into some of the same challenges that you encountered. Thanks for including what didn't go well. This gave me the drive to stick with it rather than limping into the dealership for them to finish the job. Works great now!

Good Vid. TIP: when the handle on the sliding door breaks off (cheap plastic inside), you will have to remove everything as you did (except lil motor), they may sell you a Chrome and white inside colored handle that will Not match you paint job, so you can use the old inside part by taking the pin out on the thin end of old one and hook the new part from new chrome looking (really plastic) outer handle onto the old inside handle that has proper color (even dealer mechanics miss this one...) as well the dealers "pencil whip" the lifetime oil change if it has low mileage and/or you didn't buy it from their dealership (i offered to pay for the oil change if they would only do it right, they may have done this twice in a row 6 mo's apart. BEWARE of wheeler dealers.
My door doesn't open now via the handle do u know what part I need? Almost like it has snapped internally

My driver's side sliding door will open under power but will not close. It just beeps. I've tried reset, actuator motor replacement today, (still does the same thing) and did a full reset. Still:"no joy"!
Computer controller logic problem? Bad relay that won't reverse the motor's direction?
(Because it does open and lock etc.)

Hello, if you can help me, I have a 2006 Kia Carnival, the left sliding door does not open electrically except only when the car is running, and if the engine is turned off, it only opens .with the hand
I have problem with electric doors- they work only by Press pilot, or interior panel neer miror. Don't work by handle or passanger button. What's wrong, any Child protect? How it unlock?? Please help my sedona!!

I really need help my door will not close at all i mean it slide all the way but it will not close , now i tied it up with the front panel just to make it locks .

To get the handle pin out, take a rag and pull down from the top of the bolt. It will catch the side of the u pin and pull it down and out. Easier than using a pick.

Do any of you Carnival owners hear a annoying creaking from the slide doors when acceleration and breaking or when the car kind of twists the chassis like going up a driveway? I would really like to find a solution to this noise on our new (used) 2017 Carnival.

I replaced both sides of mine. The driver side still doesn't work sometimes. There's a sensor I must not know about.
It looked very difficult to take that u-pin off. How did you get it back on?

Ooops, guess what? l just posted a thank you for your video l used to help me replace the actuator on the sliding door of my 2007 Hyundai Entourage, that was working just fine after installation. The very next day however, the sliding door would not open at all manually or automatically. l checked the cables to make sure that they were securely in place. No such luck. Do you know why that is?
Is your power (button) off? Sounds like it's locked? Does it beep at all?
No beeps just a clicking sound like it's trying to open, it's unlocked and the power button is turned on

This helped me out a lot. Dealer wanted $500 to fix it. My door now opens and closes, but one thing that is happening is, When i use the inside main switch to lock all doors, that passenger door doesnt lock. I have to manually lock it from the inside. I checked all cables and they are connected properly. What can cause this?

I watched the video and installed the same part. The door will open but won’t close. It just keeps trying to open and beeps three times
I think that happens when the door has been open too long... did you manually close and try to reset?
Ok. I did manually close and and then cycled the power and it opened again. Once it was open I tried to shut it and it kept wanting to open instead of closing.

Put powered sliding door in your title
that black stuff stays sticky but never dries
The "black stuff" is called butyl rubber and it's available in a 1/4" or 3/8" strip if it ever needs removing. On my vehicle, the previous owner went into the door far too often and ripped the plastic and the butyl rubber lost its tackiness causing water leaks into the vehicle. Clean it off with WD-40 or Goof Off and replace as necessary.

My sedona 2008 td had same problem...iwas having trouble with my central locking n was locking by driver door and tailgate .....suddenly my slidi g doors didnt work not even manually....realised that had to double unlock tailgate and now ok...... hope this helps
