Mate, you just saved me $200. Took less than 45mins with your tutorial.
Perfect walkthrough thank you! I have a 2014 Kia Sedona US Model and this video was exactly what I needed!
Thank you so much for posting this! Tackling this on my wife's GC tomorrow on the LH side!
One of the best ones that I have seen in the past couple of days.
Thanks ð
Brilliant video Helped fix mine in 60mins
Thx ð But thats a lot faster than I can do the job in 60mins ðĪĢð
You saved me hundreds of dollars, thank you
Thank you for this video, it helped me to fix my wifeâs van. The lock went bad, I bought the new part, and would not have figured out to take off the window rail
Glad to help
Nice video. Same process for the US model Sedona. I replaced just the door lock actuator so I had to take apart that assembly. The actuator motor was only $13.
Good to know, I still have the old unit. might look into that fix
Does this Kia sedona have power sliding doors? my door lock does not work as well I don't think you need to change the hole actuator just the motor insde the actuator. But very good video thank you so much I just orded my part and going to use your video for referance
This car doesn't have power sliding doors. I do agree with you, the actuator could be fixed instead of replacing it but it was much more convenient to replace the actuator especially it didn't cost much from the dealership ~100$. I still have the old actuator in case I wanted to try fixing it in the future.
Have u got a video on how fix the window if it won't go down . Because mine won't go down
No, I haven't run into that issue on the kia.
Very frustrating in these videos is nobody shows you what the actual problem is so I can see if I have the same issue. Also, perhaps the current lock can be fixed in place without having to remove the whole mechanism.
My problem isn't the actuator, it's when I close my sliding door it won't stay closed and slides back open. I've probably watched 20 vids now but none deal with that particular problem. Also how did you get your door handle back on when you needed a special tool to take it off > What about the little retainer wire ?
From your description I would guess the problem is with the door latch stuck closed not the actuator as in this video. Luckily this one is easy to check you don't need to open the door panel for it. Here is a pic of what it looks like:
www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fhonda-tech.com%2Fforums%2Facura-integra-6%2Fdoor-latch-stuck-lock-2467843%2F&psig=AOvVaw1akJvgVqQrlGdLjrAyyWnp&ust=1581142978331000&source=images&cd=vfe&ved=0CAIQjRxqFwoTCLDZ6OnmvucCFQAAAAAdAAAAABAW
or at the top of the video at 2:38. get a screw driver stick it in there and try to pull the latch open.
As for the door handle, you don't need the tool to put it back on. Push the little retainer all the way on with the handle when its off the car (I think I forgot to show this), then the handle will click back on when you insert it.
Awesome job.
It is the same as the 2010 kia Sedona. The handle has a metal clamp you have to take off first.
Thank you
