      Really good to do 3 sets together. It's a real challenge Mike to do the balance exercise, as per my private email regarding surgery on right medius and minimus muscles (failed) this really causes pain on the upper outside of leg and hip. Should I continue pushing the stressed right leg with that particular exercise? You are doing a great service to the age challenged generation (good description😉).Thanks Rosemary

      Hey Rosemary, No I wouldn't ever push into pain. I'd stop before the pain sets in and build up the amount of time you do it for, over time. You'll eventually strengthen all the muscles and the pain will decrease.. Or do a different exercise. IE feet together on a cushion and then after some time doing them, get back to this one and build it up over time again also.

    I love this workout. It is quick but really gets my heart going. The sit-to-stands are a killer when you are out of shape. LOL

    Thank you did the warm up and 20 minutes full routine for seniors. Hopefully I can keep it up gently did the twisting exercise as I have osteoperosis in small of back so took it easy as not suppose to twist I think.

    Today I balanced on my left leg with only one wobble for 45 seconds. Right leg is fine. Finally progress. When I first started, I could balance for maybe one second. Your routines are gently stretching my muscle back into shape after five months of limping at best. Thank you again.

    Revisited this after a while, I really need to work on my stamina I seem to be struggling with this, but hopefully this was a good start. Would shorter more aerobic exercises be preferable to longer exercises with more reps ? Thanks as always Mike :) Jan

    Excellent work out. I do have a question. Here in the states, we always round up. Like 5-10. You seem to do 9-18 reps. Is that customary for Australia?

    I really enjoy this routine in particular and feel I’m getting stronger. With the hip extensions, is it important to keep the foot down and pointed when pulling it back, or if you can should you lift the leg higher?

      Controlled movement Debi, a bit higher is ok. toes pulled up, make sure it's working those glutes.

    Managed to do the exercise after a long break.can not lift my R arm as I have a rotator cuff tear.can you suggest an exercise I can do to improve the movement of the R arm?

    Hi Mike. One question about the last exercise on the video (the balance one): where does the weight go? on the front leg; the back leg or we should to spread between both? Thanks!

    Im 66 and have covid, so breathign is hard right now and i don't have the energy nor motivation to do the exercises but after a week of being in bed and growing so weak i wanted to start trying to do this agaain... not sure i can.... was in hospital but they sent me home cause they have no extra beds and don't think i need to be hospitalized, being elderly and having health problems on top of this covid. suggesstions?

    Mike ,thanks for this excercies.Im 71 and started with your work up exercises as you advice..then i followed his 20 min workout video ...is that lets say 25 minutes enough ...i
    or should i do a little of walking in the garden of some 20 min more....fast walk? Im having 15 kgs overweight now and started dieting as with the lockdown i was unable to have my daily brisk walk of an hour..plus being at home all day i eat more often some snack in between meals...what i know dont do.Thanks

      Hey Dara! 20 Minute is a good start and you can add in other exercises also! You can work your way up to an hour. And also keep up that activity in that very nice garden of yours! Less snacks more activity! :)

    As I am am a Dizzy Bird with MS I find the standing heel to toe very hard. Is it OK to hold onto the chair? Love them all anyway!

    Bit of a problem with the height of the chair when standing behind it. My chairs are too low.
    Have to resort to the sink in the kitchen.

      No, not if the exercises are causing pain Anita. Best to get an assessment from a Physiotherapist if this is the case. With good exercise technique and zero pain, then yes the exercises will be beneficial. 🙂
