The sun visor helps shield your eyes from sunlight when it is right in your face. If yours is missing, or falling apart, you can install a new one. This video shows you how to install a new sun visor on your 2006-2012 Toyota RAV4.

Thanks for the video. The Toyota dealer was going to charge $350. About $35 on Amazon and changed it myself!

It is very easy to lose the clips into the headliner of the car when you push the plastic cover on. I recommend that you get the plastic cover started into their holes BEFORE you seat the clips. Trying to fiddle with aligning the plastic cover after you seat the clips can result in unseating the clips and pushing them in somewhere never to be seen again. Good luck buying one clip from Toyota. It happened to me and it has happened to others so get that cover started before you shove the assembly on.

It looks like the clip got loose in your video at 1:29. And that is the hardest part to avoid. The video looks easy but in reality it is not that easy. Thank you for sharing this video

You made it look easy but it was not so for me and I pride myself in being a pretty handy person. It is just the example of how manufacturers design cars that are easily and quickly put together but NOT user serviceable. Many older cars simply had screws holding the visors on which I would have preferred.

Rad!! Ty for the great vid!! I thought I read that the visor wasn’t replaceable like ‘old cars’ could be so I kept my sad, floppy visor and tried different ways to make it stick to the ceiling-no good. Stoked to see that I can actually replace it! Still scared to see how much of my Rav4 is just plastic stuck together like legos🤦🏼‍♀️😂 gonna order a visor now-thanks for doing this vid!

When putting the plastic thing back on, one clip popped out and is MIA. Fml.

I tried to do this and it didn't work. The visor has been loose for a year and after smacking my forehead on it when I hit a bump for the last time, I have instead violently ripped it off. Looks like I had the same results 🤷🏼‍♀️

How do you get it off if you don’t have a trim hook?

Thanks for this video. So the plastic cover should be separted to the black metal brackets prior to inserting. It took me forever to pullout the old visor. It's a terrible design by Toyota.

This POS never stays in place. The entire visor is always falling due to as simple as gravity.
