Thank you for this video. It was VERY helpful. I would only add one thing now that I've replaced my headlights. At 5:15 in the video, you say you have to kind of jiggle it to "clear this piece right here." Right where you're pointing , there's a single bold that holds "this piece" in place. I would suggest taking that bolt out and moving that piece *ever so slightly* out of the way. It makes it a LOT easier, and you're much less likely to scratch the new headlight when you install it. You're already got a 10mm socket handy at that point anway.
Great video, I ordered new headlights for my daughter's 2011 Rav4 Sport, after 200,000 they are pretty cloudy. I was glad to see how many snapper doodles to remove and bolts to look for.
Good video, just finished swapping my passenger headlight out. The tip with pivoting the headlight really helped. Its possible to do this without taking the entire bumper off, but it requires a little extra finesse, and if youre worried about not scratching your bumper, taking it the whole way off is definitely the safest option
Great how-to video. Excellent narration and exceptional camera work. I followed the instructions step-by-step and had no trouble installing new headlight assemblies on our 2009 RAV4 Limited. Many thanks!
To get the passenger side light out on a 2011 Rav4, the bar over the radiator had to have the left bolt taken out. That allows enough space to pull the light out.
Pulling the bumper is way easier than it sounds. Also a tip for people using this video. You can easily remove the top brace with three bolts. You can leave the horns attached and just let it rest. It'll make the headlight removal and install a lot easier. Don't need to worry about scratching it on the fender.
There was no way, on my 2011 RAV4, that the old headlights were ever going to be wiggled out. I took off the Upper Radiator Support Assembly - like vistabluev8 says above. The old headlights slide out and the old ones slide in easily. However, don't let that metal support HANG BY THE HORN WIRES like I did. One of them broke right off. However, I think it's pretty important to take out that top brace - especially on the drivers side.

Thanks for the video! Just followed along and did my wifes Rav and finished in about 30 mins! Yay 10mm!
Did your wife's what?? C'mon man.
Is removing the entire bumper only necessary to gain access to the headlight's side screw? Or does it require extra clearance to pull the assembly?

Nice and easy guide. Thanks for this! I have saved this on my play list so I can re-watch this later when I change my headlight :)
