I have a 1995 nissan pickup that idles fine with the mass airflow sensor unplugged but when plugged up it cuts off. I've replaced the Mass air flow sensor twice. Any ideas what it could be?
I dont have the hardbody any more. The previous owner has the gears in the distributer in wrong and I put them back in correctly. The distributer soon died and I replaced it

What did your problem end up being? My 93 is doing the same.
The timing was advanced 30 degrees
Dang nissans
Was it the timing or the distributor?
The distributer was put in wrong the gear inside had to be rotated to get it back into time
@@maxtwente8228 makes sense. thank you that very helpful
That's pretty normal and when you turn on the AC the computer bumps up the idol
It was the distributer
How in the world did your timing get Advanced 30°? So once you place the timing back to normal it ran fine? Thanks for any info😁
Yes. the distributor soon died after that so I had to replace it.
