The engineer that designed this mower is watching this video sobbing uncontrollably - like watching a loved one come back from the dead! Well job mate!
Magnificent work performed with the same level of care as if restoring a legendary Jaguar or an iconic Aston Martin motor car. The soundtrack was a brilliant epic filled with a romance from another time but used here seems fitting somehow. I could just feel your love for that mower as the second coat of green paint was being applied. Bravo, just wow.
How wonderful to see someone put love into an old machine like that. All day long you Can watch yo-yos blowup engines, and that sort of thing. It takes a special person, To take an old decrepit machine and put it straight again. Good job!

Sometimes it's not the cost of something but the pure pleasure of seeing it restored. I've done that with several vintage turntables and yes, I lost money on every one of them, but it was just knowing that they would be in someone's home again making music is well worth the time and effort.
You are a miracle worker. What a transformation brought about by talent and lots of hard, meticulous work. It's almost a shame if this ends up actually getting used for mowing--it's so pristine, it's a museum piece! Never get tired of watching these before and after videos--thank you for sharing.

A job well done. This is why people need to realize that what might be junk to someone is a job for someone else to make it look like new again. Got my sub. Well done
Hi folks, i'm sorry that this is not my standard type of video but I have just come out of hospital after an infection and am now at home recovering. I wanted to get a video out but I had nothing done because I was in the hospital so I had a series of vids on my other channel "Retrorestore" on this old lawnmower so I done a quick edit on the series to bring you at least something to watch. Thanks for all your messages and well wishes. I shall be back soon. Sorry there are no tooling sounds as I only had the rendered videos to edit and not the originals. Thanks Martin

Seeing you restore this and how great it is once you finished is definitely going to make me think twice about just throwing something away, but perhaps having a go at restoration. Thanks very much for your video I really enjoyed it 👌👍👍
Love, love love! There are going to be people that will say you spent more time and money than you should have. That is the problem with a throw away culture. Our grandparents didn't throw things away, they fixed them. You went so far and above that, I couldn't help but keep watching. What was he going to do next? Nickle plate the wheel hinges? Mirror polish the engine metal like a garage queen sports car? I loved this video. Keep going!
that 'World' engine from B&S (so called because it was sold as a repower option in multiple countries) was a real pooch, the cowling liked to cut the plastic intake pipe & mystery metering problems ensued. : ( I know EXACTLY why someone left it in the bushes back in 1993. lol. Good Riddance, Get a 6.75hp with a high tank & CUT GRASS LIKE A BOSS. Horrible little engine, I say Horrible, & I still run B&S, my favorite manufacturer by far. the bottom head bolt on the exhaust side of the head would loosen also, so keep a spare head gasket around, you'll be needing it......
People don't realize that it's cheaper to fix something if you already have the materials. Which he obviously did. Why spend $200 on a new mower when you can fix it with stuff you had left over from previous restores/builds? My generation sucks and would be like Nah, I'm just go buy a new one. They don't know how to weigh the costs of repair vs new.
Woke up to the end of this video thinking I was in some enchanted palace with the music playing only to quickly find I’m in grandpa Brits shed rebuilding a lawn mower. Haha look awesome
Did you just give that lawnmower a clear coat finish? Dude you are awesome. You have a great eye for detail. You are the best. Thumbs up on that restoration.

Great job on bringing this Lawn Mower back in it's original form! You did a alot of hard work and patience onto this unit! I remember I did a project back in 2011 doing a engine swap on a 1993 Murray Push Mower switching a Tecumseh 3.8 HP Engine to Briggs & Stratton Classic 3.5 HP. I also changed the top handle bar that kind of curved off as triangle shape of the center and switch to a flat straight handle bar. That looks identical to the lower handle bar with the same shape. I didn't get a chance to spray paint the Lawn Mower Deck though. Great Job Mate. Take Care, Phil
