Beautiful restoration really beautiful I remember my dad had a flashlight just like this when I was a child in the late 70s, I remember well nights we would go for walks and the flashlight lit the way, seeing this brought back a flood of amazing memories to me of times I wish I had with my father again
    Thank you ♥️🇺🇸🇮🇪

Nice work! It's always nice to see people use 2k paint or clear coat and succeed so well. I always end up with terrible orange peel.

You did a fantastic job there. I can remember my dad having one of these in the late 60's and it was blue. Some time later it occurred to me that he'd painted it. These old torches have a certain quality about them but with the old filament bulb would appear quite dim compared with today's LED technology. Now that's an idea....

I cannot express how much I love the quality of your videos. Everything is so well done. And as usual the music choices are beyond perfect. The flashlight came out great! Keep the videos coming. I look forward to each new one. Cheers!

Purchased one at a yard sale earlier this year for nostalgia. My wife didn't understand. Now seeing this video has inspired me to try as I considered trying to restore it but didn't know how or even know where to begin. Thank you for posting.

Brilliant Martin, theraputic to watch and beautifully produced production.Nice to see once mundane but well made objects that you can actually take apart, restored to a high standard and well worth it. Had one of these for Christmas 1971 !.

I really enjoy the "Retro" aspect of your channel. You resurrect things many of us recognise, and as in the case here I've forgotten about. It might seem strange to kids of today but we used to get torches for Christmas in the 60s and early 70s and I’m sure I remember getting one of these around 1970. I'm sure I remember using it the year we didn't change the clocks back in autumn and it was pitch black going to junior school in winter. I also used to send very poor morse code messages into the night sky, but never did get a reply.
Another fantastic video with a job well done and great memories, thank you. I hope you’re feeling a bit better.

Awesome build back to the 70"s. I don't think i could resist putting a high output LED lamp and adaptation so I could run it from my 20 volt power tools battery. It would be like the new hot rods modern engine and drivetrain with that old school 70's body
