Thanks for the real world review. I believe you can electronically adjust the rear door at a lower opening. I saw a video, somewhere, showing how. Probably in owner’s manual. I’ll try and find and I’ll post.
You physically push the gate to the height and then hold down the close button until you hear it beep multiple times. Then cycle the open/close to check for the now reset height. Most brands are like this now too.
Great review - thank you. I waited for four years for the GX re-build as it was delayed and then COVID hit. Was planning to buy a 2025 GX (waiting a year as it is a new build). I recently rented an Armada for four weeks. I never considered the Armada, but after a month, my family really liked it - great engine, very roomy and comfortable. I enjoyed your Armada video as well. I would appreciate hearing thoughts and preferences on the Armada and GX from the point of view of reliability and overall impression. Do you have a favorite/preference? (As an aside, not a primary consideration bkz I keep vehicles for a long time...but the 2024 Armadas are currently seeing decent discounts as the new 2025 Armadas due out soon are a complete re-design). Thank you.
The new GX is a step backwards. No luxury wood interior trim nor steering wheel. Kdss isn’t standard across all trims . Unreliable V6 twin turbo that is causing problems across all platforms . No hybrid option to increase mpg. No moving pano roof. Lexus dash is still technology behind compared to GLE & X5.
Lack of hybrid is a good thing. The Toyota loses 3rd row seating and lots of storage space with the hybrid. Not to mention so much heavier. And it’s like 3 mpg better than the GX
@@nikkisixx29Not me. I prefer modern finishes and colors so the wood trims don’t fit my style. I hate it when the manufacturer builds a beautiful silver or black vehicle with black or gray interior, and then has this gaudy brown wood trim that stands out like a sore thumb. I will concede that it sometimes looks fine with the proper color scheme, like beige interior, but looks awful with black or gray. My complaint is more about color as opposed to real wood vs fake wood. Just my two cents. That being said, when I got a previous RX, they did have a beautiful bamboo brown color scheme that actually looked great. I probably wouldn’t get it. But when packaged with the right color scheme did look very nice… but still not for me!!!
like it over the land cruiser
👍🏼
Perfectly timed video
Thanks for showing the car seat installation
Glad it was helpful!

GX 550 over trail, is way better than a Bronco. In Europe it's called a Prado and we beat them to hell and back. Toyota is number one.
Have you seen the crash test on the Bronco it falls apart like a lego...lol
how long exactly is a "small Texas road trip"? like 500 miles? 700?
lol. About 300 miles round trip.
The front seats are too small, very disappointing!

Thank god they don’t have tacky wood trim.
who wants those 90's wood trims?
I feel wood steering wheels are fading from popularity.
