Nice! I have one of these in a drawer for a few years. Gonna bust it out and go through it now, thanks to your vid!! I also did buy a male to female 1/4 patch. 🤠Very useful beyond this lil amp.
Nice vid, young man. Excellent explanation. Best clarity of all review vids. Well organized. Think I understand it well enough now to make an informed decision.
Hi, thanks for the video! How did you actually get the tone from your guitar into this video in detail? DId you amplify it with speakers and record it with a mic or record the signal via soundcard on a PC/laptop? What kind of other effects are present? Is it useful for home recording if you just wanna practice or record a demo?
I recommend the clean one because it will give you the least effected guitar tone. That way you can see what you are actually playing and areas you need to improve.
First thing that comes to mind would be rock tones. Basically all the other models that have a genre in their name would be not suited for this, as those are better options lol. So this wouldn't be the best choice for blues, metal, and clean tones. But I would say it is a good alternative to the classic rock model. The classic rock model can just do clean tones a bit better as well.
@@GrowWithGuitar thank you very much! Would this specific one achieve the tones for bands such as Nirvana or Arctic Monkeys or is there another practise amp that you would suggest?
I think this can work for those two bands. See if you are fine with having as much gain on the lowest setting in the video and if you want less gain, get the classic rock. But for those bands, this should work.
Hey, great review! Narrowed it down to Lead and AC30. Very rarely use clean but mostly play stuff like Metallica, Rammstein, Black Sabbath, Mötley Crüe, Linkin Park, Ghost...what would you recommend? I think the Metal one doesn't sound very versatile
Thanks for watching! I personally prefer the AC30 over the Lead model. It is a little more versatile, but I think the Lead model probably has a closer tone to the bands you mentioned.
I need help! I've been having issues with it. It automatically turns off whenever I play for like 10 minutes. After that I can't turn it back on. It only works again if I let it rest. What can I do to fix this?
You could go the rechargeable battery route, but I usually don't do that either. The newest fender mustang micro has rechargeable battery so I wonder if Vox will update their amplugs to have that as well.
I adore these little guys for late night, pre-sleep moments of “I’ve-got-to-get-this-out-of-my-system“ playing! My only complaint is that the mobile, spinning input plug seems to short-out rather quickly. They are inexpensive, and a lot lighter than my RI ‘63 AC30TB😆🥸, and they sound close enough for my pay grade, so I can recommend them. (I like my small POD [~$115USD] better, but this definitely has a place in a guitarist’s goody bag…imvho after 30+ years of playing/writing.🫶✌️♾️🎸👨🏼⚕️🎸 Excellent Stocking-Stuffer🎅🏻🧑🏻🎄🌨️❄️☃️🎄🎄🎄
I’ve seen like 10 videos for this product, yours is the best. Finally got how to use it, tnx!!
Glad it helped!
Watched them all - decided on the AC30. Excellent reviews - So helpful. Thank you heaps from Australia.
Why ac30?

I really really like how consistent you are - I think this talent is exceptional and perhaps you should review all kinds of stuff.
THanks
Thank you very much for the explanation of all the modes of the Ac30. a great contribution. Greetings from Spain.

Awesome! This was a thorough demo. Thanks!
No problem!
Fantastic review, mate!!
Perfect - succinct too. Thanks!

Outstanding video, Joe. Great work.

Do you know if there's anything a can do about the noise/buzz?
Great review just ordered one looking forward to my practise now
Hope you enjoy it!

Brilliant vid ... that ticked every box ... thanks & stay safe
Thanks, you too!
Hey, have you got this plugged straight into your interface? No cab sim? Actually sounds pretty good
Very helpful review and demo, thanks. Now the question is, what are the best (affordable) headphones?
*Great Video. Thanks bro*
That was a really good review
Awesome review, keep the Awesome work up👍
Thanks Elyzer!
how do you turn off that tremolo effect whenever you switch to the orange or red channels?
this video is sooooooooo good thanks!!!🤠
Thanks for teaching
God bless you.
Same to you!
Thanks for your good video and I fount an adapter (SAT UB-1) that can connect headphones by connecting to the amplifier speaker terminal on etsy.
Great stuff! For a practicing beginner would you recommend this or the Clean one?
I recommend the clean one because it will give you the least effected guitar tone. That way you can see what you are actually playing and areas you need to improve.
Hi, is it possible to plug it into regular speaker insead of headphones?
yes you can... i use with my JBL and works great
Is it a tremolo around 4 minutes in ? 🤔
You've not said what guitar you're using and on what pickup?
What music is best for this? And what music would not be well suited?

@@GrowWithGuitar for sure! Great format. All that extra effort you put into being concise but clear & simply descriptive is great.

Do i need a amp for it or does it makes the sounds it selves
No. You just need headphones to plug into the Amplug.
@@GrowWithGuitar alright thanks dude
@@GrowWithGuitar one more question:)
Which is the best for a e-guitar for you
No problem. I have a FREE Guitar Headphone Amp Buyer's Guide that talks about that and my personal picks. You can get it here: bit.ly/3mD4AUj
@@GrowWithGuitar thanks a lot🙏
Hi comparing both blackstar amplug and vox amplug , are both jacks fragile?
What do you mean by fragile? I don't think the jacks will break anytime soon. They seem pretty solid to me.
can we use it with / connect to pedal ?
Yes. Some people have done that before.
Can you combine effects, or are they single-use only? (Like, say, add a little delay and some reverb at the same time - or, no, you can't do that?)
Unfortunately, it is only one effect at a time.
@@GrowWithGuitar Thank you for your reply.

You're welcome. Thanks for watching.
The only thing I don’t like about it is that it dies way to fast. And takes AAA batteries. If it was rechargeable then it would be perfect.
You could go the rechargeable battery route, but I usually don't do that either. The newest fender mustang micro has rechargeable battery so I wonder if Vox will update their amplugs to have that as well.
How much does it last?
