Hi Paul: those fruits are Cheremoya and here's a detailed description: The flavour is a heady mix of banana and pineapple with perhaps a little strawberry and kiwi thrown in. Its fruity taste is light and refreshing, but the white creamy, custardy texture is also pleasant and comforting to eat. Like a homemade pudding made virtuous - that's the beauty of the cheremoya. Thank you for your very interesting and helpful demos mixed with humour.

I disagree. The leaves aren’t right. It’s a type of Magnolia tree. I grew up with one in my yard. Those are seed pods, and burst open with deep red seeds.

Hi there. I lived I Granada for seven years and I loved it. Had to return to UK because of dear old Brexit. The fruits are called chirimoya in Spain. In England they are called custard apples. Delicious and incredibly refreshing but only if you eat them at the right time - autumn is best and most towns and villages have a big fiesta to celebrate the harvest. They contain a billion pips so require your full attention but it's worth it. Great video by the way!

The bay here, Ringling Museum, and the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens are absolutely beautiful! Thanks again for all you do and share for us who follow you (and Margot)!

For me its not so much fear of making mistakes, but hate wasting expensive art supplies, like paper. Yes, with every failed project we learn something, but its hard on the pocket book when trying to learn. At nearly a buck or more for a sheet, when learning techniques for those that are just hobbiest without a return on investment, of an monetary nature, that fear is more of being wasteful not of failure. But thats for me, maybe not so for others.
Thanks for all your lessons. :).

First, thank you for these Q&A's. They are certainly packed full of information. I believe the tree is a magnolia. It has very distinct leaves & leaf patterns. I didn't realize they had fruit, as they're mostly known for their large blooms but looked them up & found that they do.

Thanks for the video, Paul. Really great information! In my opinion the tree with the fruits is a Magnolia. It looks exactly like the one I have in my garden (I live in California), so I'm pretty sure.

It is interesting your answer to how do you know when one has become an intermediate or advanced watercolor artist. Experience. To that I would like to add confidence. I for one only painting watercolor for roughly 5 months now, can say my confidence has grown the more I try new techniques and feel my color mixing strength is becoming second nature and take a leap and make mistakes. I watch your videos and other artists videos as well, Jenna Rainey, Matthew Palmer, Matthew White over and over taking away more each time. If not for all of you, I would never have even attempted it. So for that I am so deeply grateful. I am 64 and wish I had done this years ago yet that’s ok as now I know how I want to spend my retirement hours. Gracie mille!

I hadn’t even thought of you coming to the US! Great idea!!! Please do. May I suggest Alabama, gulf shores. White sand beaches, amazing wildlife, gorgeous sunsets. 😉

The fruit is commonly called Shakya or Sweet Apple. It is one of the best fruits grown in Taiwan, China. I love to see your video.

    Hello, Mr.Clark!!!
The fruit in that tree is called custard apple. It's is a delicious fruit that is cultivated in southern Spain (Granada, Seville, etc.). It is original from America (not USA
...ahahaha). It's a typical fruit from Central America (Costa Rica, Nicaragua, etc.) and South America (Venezuela, Peru, etc.).
I'm sure you can find it in England (in an international supermarket).
PS. I've got the fear factor syndrome!!! I'm trying to get rid of it! Thank you so much for this video. 🙂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
