My 5 year old has his own watercolour palette, as he’s painting, he tells me “I’m using my #2 brush as my trusty rigger, and I’m using a damp brush to make my highlights” (anyone know where he gets those quotes from?) Thanks as always, we enjoy your art lessons Paul!

I never had art lessons; I just jumped in last Fall and started following tutorials. I learned a tremendous amount, and enjoyed it so much! This tutorial filled in a lot of the theoretical gaps , and many thanks to Mildred and Cecil for their wisdom . The best way to learn to do anything is to keep doing it! Thank you very much!

That was such a helpful video...almost like a mini lecture! I've learned so much since viewing these tutorials: the depth and realism that comes with shadows, the freedom and finesse of mixed media, the importance of sketching and plein air painting. I could go on and on and all of it is free, which is astonishing. Thanks so much for your generous spirit towards other fledgling artists. I intend to pay it forward:) Could I suggest a tutorial of the painting of the bridge and falls you used to illustrate 'leaving white paper through the paint' for highlight effects?

GREETINGS from Vancouver BC Canada.....You are a great teacher and painter. l learn so much from your teaching style...you impart information in a clear and concise manner and you do not pass on any unnecessary fears. Artists that l find inspirational include Ann Blockley. Paul Clark and John Bramblitt...[have you heard of him?...he is very inspirational because he is totally blind and yet his paintings are full of life and colour.....he says that he can tell what colour he is using by how it feels.....wow....it is true that where there is a will there is a way]. Thank you Paul for all your wonderful videos helping us all become better painters......really love when you do spontaneous landscapes....
