    My Gamo swarm magnum G2. 22 loves the Ruger superpoints 17g. It gives me dime sized groups at 25 yards, free standing!! I REALLY like it but it has a 60 pound cocking force, I measured it. And I have bicep tendon arm injuries, and it REALLY takes a toll on my bicep tendons that were previously torn in both arms. Every time I take the rifle out and cock it a couple of times it flares up the injury all over again and it takes a couple days for the pain to subside. My bicep injuries happened 2.1/2 years ago.

      is there a spreadsheet that has cocking pound effort? and all of the other interesting list of features? I got arm and broken lower back, serious injury but I love to shoot.

      @@makerofmanythings8447 I finally tracked down that my newly acquired .177 Gamo Swarm Whisper is 30 lbs of cocking effort. it is NOT quiet, but I have only shot 1x shot thru it when the wind picked up and the snow came down. Thanks for your information.

    how often do you shoot the magnum and is that scope still good on it? I heard that if you put just any scope on this magnum (because of the way it recoils , obviously not like a firearm but the way the system is) that it could damage your scope?

    I modified my whisper with a bipod, and a few other bells and whistles to mine to make it more tactical.

    How many mags fit in the Maxxim storage compartment? Does the Magnum pistol grip also have a storage compartment?
    Also, are the stocks of any of these rifles hollow? Are the recoil pads removable to use the stocks for storage?

  • @ntj030885
    @ntj030885 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does the scope stay in place and zeroed in all the time on these guns? I had a break barre years ago and the recoil would actually jar the scope so bad that it would move backwards with each shot until it was zeroed in any more. No matter what I did I could solve the issue.

    I have owned the gamo swarm maxxim 10x gen 2 .22 for about 2 months now, have put through about 200 rounds so I'm assuming it's broken in. I am still getting 2" to 3" groupings at 25 yards. But to be fair, I'm new to LR pellet guns so I'm by no means a professional. I've only been using the GTO lead free pellets just because I don't like lead residue in my guns. And still my groupings suck. So I'm going to buy a tin of the ones you suggest and see if that improves accuracy.

      As the grouping issues try the gamo red fire pellets they are cheaper than h&n and you should see a change in your groups

    • @Nonamestranger126
      @Nonamestranger126 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Those lead free pellets are likely why your grouping is bad . Sure they fire faster and don’t have lead but They’re hella light , therefore affected by windage more . I’d also say you need maybe a few hundred more shots before you can say it’s fully broken in . Try a heavier pellet and make sure your scope isn’t moving on the scope mounts/rings . Tighten your scope mounts at the rail

    Gamo failed in the design of the scope location on the Swarm Maxxim gen 2 in the fact that you cannot get the scope covers back on or off without breaking the barrel. I have to literally have the scope mounted as far away from the barrel as possible to allow the scope covers to go on and off without breaking the barrel.

    So. Gamo Swarm. Gen 1 has a vertical magazine load. Gamo Maximin has a horizontal magazine load. Which is a POS. and Gamo went back to verticle magazine load on the Magnum. Gee. I wonder why?

      The SWARM Gen 2 mechanisms allows for fixed sights so you don’t need to use a scope.

    I’m down here, in South Florida. Great video, but all three are pretty much the same. The biggest adjustment, that you can make for the gamo swarm? This guy already did it. The scope! I’m knocking down 4 to 7 foot iguanas all day long. The stock scope sucks period!! Try adjusting, and you will fail. I have learned how to shoot, with the scope offsite. I’m also shooting almost vertically up in the tree. Approximately 18 to 25 yards, just depending on where the iguana is resting. Even though The scope is off by 2 inches, I get them in the head every time. A lot of power behind this break barrel. The gamo swarm whisper loves H&N pellets! Like the gentleman said, for a big blowout, use barracuda hunter extreme. I could not believe my eyes, as it blew out the back of three-quarter inch pressure-treated plywood. I Also tested it with 16.9 ounce coconut water cans. By the way, cans were full with water. This would make direction and velocity change. It’s impressive power went through all nine. The pellet stopped at the 10th plastic water bottle. I shot these cans from exactly 8 feet away. The trick with this gun, is the scope. The downside, is that they do not offer standard sites with it. Scope only. H&N 18.52gr. and 21.14gr. Pellets were made for this gun. The 5.52 slides right in perfectly. Other dimensions, have to be pushed down pretty hard into the magazine. I love these, because they drop right in, So perfectl, compared to using cheaper pellets like crosman. I have used crow magnum, barracuda, barracuda hunter extreme, and 14.3 grain 5.5 Crossman Premier hallow points. For hunting, I would definitely use the hunter extreme. The Crossman pellet were the only one’s I had a problem with. Just because 5.5 is too big. Stick to what the guy said in the video. 5.1 or 5.2 is perfect

      Not true. The SWARM Gen 2 rifles from Gamo have a redesigned magazine that’s sits flat and it comes with fixed sights. The Gen 1 magazine stood vertically and there was no room for fixed sights.

    • @briroc26
      @briroc26 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SuzukiKid400 pretty sure they all have the same piston and put out the same power . I bought the whisper and upgraded the scope . It's awesome !! Who cares about how the clip mechanism works ..The whisper has 10x technology all the same . Only downfall of it is no iron sights like he said . But I'm denting and almost breaking through a 55 gallon drum at 30 yards with simple gamo rocket pellets

    • @SuzukiKid400
      @SuzukiKid400 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That’s not true. With the SWARM Maxim G2 magazine, they laid it down horizontally so that it can fit fixed sights. You can run that rifle with or without the scope.
