Hey man, I’m new to air guns, but I own a few ar15s(5.56, .22lr, and .300blackout), a few handguns, and I shoot regulatly. I recently got a cheap little crosman vigilante ordered to take care of some palmetto bugs around my garage lol.. CO2 airgun reviews led me down a Reddit/TH-cam rabbit hole. At first I thought I wanted a Sig mcx replica, but it’s only 600fps(and I’m sure that’s on the top end). I decided that now I want to get a break barrel because I’ve honestly always wanted one. Well I'm back here to give you my experience with the .22 gamo swarm magnum gen 2. Shot it last weekend for the first time. Put about 250 pellets thru it. H&n field target trophy 14.13gr I think they are. Anyway it was all over the place at 40yards. Found lead shaving on the magazine after a few rounds about thirty. Didn't think much of it at that time. But turned out the pellets were being clipped when closing the breach. Then after 250 or so the cocking mechanism locked up and was unable to pull the barrel right down to cock it. It stopped halfway while pulling the barrel down. So that was the end of that then. That was very disappointing. It cost me $1000 nz. That is a lot of $$ for a air rifle here in nz that would be in the same price range as diana or other German top rifles. Been looking forward to shoot this for a long time after every one said that it was a great rifle. Called the shop they were surprised and said they would sort it out or replace it. Don't think that I will be interested in another Gamo swarm magnum gen 2. What to do ? ☹

@Honest Opinion yeah... i don't have a FAL. Air rifles are much quieter to shoot and fun in the backyard for some target shooting. The lighter the pellet the louder it is. But light pellets shoot much flatter. And I recommend that you get a better scope. HAWKE is a good brand.
my old hatsan 125TH .25 cal with Crossman gas piston (2012) a 3-9X56 $40 scope and JSB diabolo exact I got one and a half inch groups at 100 meters or 110 yards 9 out of 10 times every time and that flyer was usually a pulled shot, I never missed at that range when shooting european starlings, it only dropped 10 inches and no amount of wind on a sunny day pushed that pellet
You could not get Hatsan parts either with out a credit card over the computer,---so I gave the gun away. Terrible quality on that .30 cal break barrel too. But the smack down was great if you remembered what mill dot to use as it dropped one every 8 yards. :)
finally someone doing a review who can shoot!!! I am looking to buy one and all other reviewers couldn't group anything and I was think of not buying one. I like these new Gamo G2's!
I have gamo swarm wisper .177 i use many pellets and change 3 scopes because the retroces is powerful and break the scopes y buy a hatsan optima 3-9x40 scope for hard retroces and the better pellet for 50 yards was the Daysi hollow points is not to much wind
I try many kinds of air guns but honestly the best what I find and it's my special opinion (Gamo is the best ) It's give you the permed of the shooting needs 1: light weight 2: accuracy 3:power
@@EarthSurferUSA the hatsan engineers take a dump inside each gun before screwing it down and sealing it up to be shipped to the customer. Seriously though i had a problem with a Hatsan break barrel .25 and their customer service was so awful they accused me of recklessly operating the gun and damaging the barrel which was absolute nonsense. They added insult to injury by offering to sell me some 150$ barrel for my defunct 'new' gun. i declined their offer and now the rifle still works it just creates a POI that is off by about a foot so its unusable for any kind of reliable precision. whereas Gamo on the other hand, when i had a problem with my first Gen1 Swarm Maxxim .22 gamo was quick with the turnaround and sent me a brand new rifle that has performed perfectly ever since. After gamo left their old springs and went into the new IGT platform, they are producing truly excellent and cutting edge rifles.
It looks like if you go with a lead pellet over 8 grain it should bring you under 1100 fps and make it considerably quieter. I have a bunch of the 7.8 grain Gamo Tomahawk that I shoot out of an older single shot nitro piston that aren't too bad. Granted it doesn't have nearly as much power as this rifle. The .22 version of this rifle is also considerably quieter with lead pellets if sound level is your main concern.
My Crossman Bengiman shot the gold gamo 5.4grn? 1,470fps It was a wood stock beautifull gun but it broke 3 scopes and didnt have iron sights. I moved on to pcp and its great but I miss my break barrels I like the sound of .17cals breaking the sound barrier Its a nice crack but still quiet. same with my PcPs I like shooting with out my suppressers because it masks some of the cheap harsh spring twang and bottle ping sound they give off
i just ordered this rifle from amazon for 270 bucks, all these video's talked me into it. seems like the best breakbarrel before stepping up to pcp guns. plus i am not a fan of powder guns, because of all the restrictions.
No,--you are not a fan of the restrictions. That is like saying, "I had to close my restaurant because of covid.", when it was actually because of government attacking our free enterprise system until he went out of business. Hey, that is what communism does. They hate profit,---if we make it.
The .177 Magnum gen2 actually has a 15" steel barrel without the useless "can " that I removed from the end of my barrel.... mine shoots at 1625 fps over my chronograph with lead Free pellets and 1280 fps with copper coated lead pellets. My gen 1 gamo Magnum is faster than the gen 2 because of it's 21" barrel spits lead free pellets at 1702 fps over my chronograph.. & has a very accurate & effective 100 yard range. The gamo lethal pellets are steel tipped (STICKS TO A MAGNET) for shooting easley through thin steel like a car door or completely through the small green steel propane tanks & or tough animal skin & skulls *. This video proves that everybody that says PBA pellets aren't accurate... or higher pellet speed destabilize pellets... They don't know from experience... they are only repeating something someone has said before.
This video just proved that all the crap I was told by a "airgun expert" at a big chain outdoor store, that when a "pellet rifle is cracking the sound barrier the accuracy goes to shit" and you MUST use heavy grain pellets to slow the speed down to get the accuracy back! This video totally disproved all that nonsense and I can't wait to share this with a few people to shut them up!
These are Cheap made highly mass produced in a covid wreaked factory! I do not believe any of this nonsense! I tried 3 or 4 newer Gamos and all are sitting in the corner with dust on them, defective! The scope stop pin holes are straight trash! And mounting system. The pistons were improperly installed in them causing malfuction and power loss with shooting a noticeable shotgun pattern. They shot good for a while then started changing. Who can put up with shooting this type of junk? I have 20 yr old rws and Weihrauch that are waay better. I saved up and bought the new Air Arms t200 model. Night and day difference. Blow the Gamo shit outta the water straight up. Quality control is superior. Had it a year now pesting and not 1 minutes trouble! Shoots like the day it was bought. But I only shoot pcp air guns only now. Got tired of the cocking😎 Ed da pro snippin backyard man 💥💪😱
Those H&N's work awesome on my Crosman Diamondback too (22fpe). I'm getting great hit groupings even out to 50 yards! Getting great hit rates on target out to 100+ yards too!
Good stuff Rick. Keep up the good work. Yes, test to find out which pellet is best for this .177 Magnum. Crossman Ultra Magnum 10.65, Gamo Rocket 9.6, Red Fire 7.8, Crossman 7.9, Copper Magnum 10.65, H&N Baracuda Power 10.65, H&N B-Hunter Extreme 9.57, H&N Silver Point 11.57, RWS Superdome 8.3, JSB Exact Heavy 10.3, just to name a few. :-)
I like H&N for my .22, 16-18gr, because the quality is great, and they have a thicker skirt that don't get bent easily, (like the Gamo Rocket and JSB). A little dent leaks too much for longer distance shots, (over 40 yards), and I have not found many damaged skirts from an H&N tin. Some tins, all were good. Not going to find that with gamo or JSB, and that will be a bad shot at distance. The 10.x gr. JSB dome is a very good pellet too in the .177. Probably shoot well in any gun, especially over 12 fpe. That pellet will fly straight until it hits something.
He only shoots to 20 yards. That is what all these "testers" do when they don't know how to shoot a springer, but demand that they do. I get his groups at 60 and more yards, and that is not happening with ally pellets. I would love to go to a break barrel competition to win money with all these great testers to compete against. I will take their money all day long. 20 yards is for sling shots and marbles.
Are u kidding me? I have around 15 different types of 22 cal pellets... the redfire I threw in the garbage.. literally.. junk.. do yourself a favor... try an air arms or a jsb.. same pellet.. different diezz... h+n does well also.. even the crossman premiers walk a dance around any gamo ammo
I always tought of you as a respectable person.. not s person to try to talk people into bullshit.. ordering this crap... I understand your affiliated with pyramid air... in which sponsors and ammo.... f$$$$$$$r dryer etch
So i'm getting interesting results with this rifle with stoeger xhunt .56g / 8.64 gr pellets. They spray a ridiculous 20cm / 7.8 in group from 30m / 32 yrd. (Had the time to put imperials there too ur welcome) Anyways the pellets travel sometimes at super sometimes transonic speeds so could this cause spiraling? Therefore I'm quite surprised that you could group those light pellets that good! Subsonic 0,870g / 13,43 gr monster diabolo pellets group nice tho.
Great rifle Gamo, I always liked the Gamo Swarm Magnum! But being old and out of shape LOL, the 40+ lbs cocking effort (from reviews) looked too heavy for me and others. I have consistently wanted Gamo to produce a Swarm Mach 1 with the adjustable check riser stock. From reading about the Mach 1 cocking is about 10 lbs less than Magnum while still producing FPE between the regular Gamo rifles and the Magnum. Some reviewers have commented about the Mach 1 being a more accurate and pleasurable shooting experience than the Magnum!
You get used to it, (figure out the best leverage). Between cocking it, and walking back and forth to your target,---the gun is a overall body workout, and a mild one. I had sore muscles after the first day of over 200 shots, and I just use 2 hands now. It's good for you. :)
so here's the scenario: groundhog...typical yard distances(ours is a bigger that most...our lot size is .61 or .62 of a acre).....and this exact rifle....with one difference.....the heaviest 177 pellet on the market(16.xx gr).
G'day can the gamo magnum carry a jsb monster 13gr and a beast at 16gr with any accuracy in .177? Always informative good to know now about the h&n bara uda match at 21 free altitude
I am not kidding you Rick man: Before you squeeze the trigger, push the butt stock away from your cheek or shoulder, (just barely touch), and bring those tight groups to 80 yards. That butt stock is a long lever, and for consistent shots and 80 yard head shots on small game, don't touch it. Of course, a nice light trigger helps a lot, since you are barely holding the gun. How do you hold a springer? Don't touch it. Let the gun do its "groove thing", and that muzzle will be in the same place when the pellet leaves it every time.
By the way, it was Tom Gaylord at the "Round Table" with you guys, who explained to me the dynamics of a piston gun. I just took it a step further, and barely touch my cheek and shoulder, and it works. Spend an afternoon playing with it at 50 yards plus. I think you will be testing springers at 50 years plus after a afternoon of shooting, and leave the polymags and gamo pellets to the short range guys, who leave the gun manufactures logo imprint on their cheek. :)
I screwed up and bought one of these it will arrive tomorrow but its 177 and I live by the .22 But Im in Illinois and that was all I could buy. So If I put a 16 gr pellet to try to do anything I may be all the way down in low 700s that sucks. I ordered 2 spare clips too. Id like to try 18 gr and see but dont have chrony. Think will leave in box and run ad. Im 63 eyes not that great anyway i dont need smaller pellets. Buyers remorse and I dont even have the gun yet!!!!!
My Swarm Magnum in .177 has quite a bit more power than this. For instance, the Gamo Blue Flame non-lead pellets (5.4 grains) do 1495 fps on average for 26.8 ft/lbs. And I get 1350fps from H&N Green Baracuda 6.64 grain , which is also 26.8 ft/lbs. For lead, I get 1015 with Crosman Premier Magnums (10.5 grains), which generates 24 ft/lbs. I haven't had the rifle in .177 long (I've had it in .22 since last summer) so I need to chronograph some more pellets, but so far I am amazed I'm that close to 30 ft/lbs in .177!
I think I have a defective product or my chronograph is junk because I'm at the same elevation and am getting no where near that velocity, can't break over 1020 even with pba
Almost, the Gamo Jungle 1250. The Jungle is spring, not gas but otherwise the same. The spring however, has no "twang", so it shoots very much the same as the Swarm Magnum.
Yes it’s the Gamo magnum gr ( gr. Stands for green).177 the swarm refers to the 10 mags so if it starts with swarm it more than likely is a 10 round repeater
Were the rws 7.0 pellets lead? Man this rifle is a beast thanks for sharing! Do you have a similar video with the 22? I’m curious if any lead pellets will break the sound barrier or if I would have to get an alloy pellet to achieve that speed?
Also at further distances my guess is that those alloys would start opening up - especially when they cross the sound barrier again. Not knocking them as they did unexpectedly well
I have the same rifle but 5.5 mm, when I first bought it it was 35, 37 joule, I shot 3 or 400 pellets with it, now it's summer in Italy, I hadn't used the rifle for a year, well it's 43, 45 joule, I don't know if it's because of the heat or because I haven't used it for a long time, even the barrel breaking is really hard, can anyone answer me? Thanks, greetings from Tuscany
Hey, I was going to get mine in .22 cal, but I can only find it in .177, like no one has it in .22, so can u plz help me find out why no store has it in .22 thanks
I just got one from Pyramyd air about a month ago. it was out of stock when I ordered it, but they must have gotten them the next day, because I had it in 4. Go with the .22. The .177 is very fast and zips through small game, taking the rest of the energy with it. The .22 will put more energy into the game, and not through it as much. The Hornet, if you shoot well, is a skull cracker to 80 yards. The .22 will hold it's energy better for longer shots too, but at 80, you are still down to about 12fpe with the .22, so there is my limit for reach. I can see 100 yard kill shots though. Gotta be a real good shot.
The fliers are probably due to wind. I think the groups would be a lot tighter without the wind gusts. You can see the target moving in the wind. The lightweight of the projectile makes it more susceptible to wind. You were shooting great. Aim small, hit small. I just subscribed.
Testing alloy pellet on a windy day. What can you really learn about the gun? This guy has no idea how to test, and only shoots 20 yards for a break barrel test. That means---he is a bad shot. "I have been doing this a long time" wrong.
Which of all the Air guns you've tested gives the higher FPS? is this the best? 1338fps? and is there other that perhaps cost much less (like the Varmin) and perform fairly close? thanks!
Shooting at 20 yards. I may do a follow up video at longer yards.. want to see what it can do at 50 yards? I need more likes and shares on the video and then I can keep the gun a little longer before sending it back. Cheers AGW
@@AirGunWeb Have you done any "slingshot vids" for the sling shot manufactures at 20 yards? lol Get your butt (stock) off your cheek and shoulder. :) And tell Gamo that if you want to make their guns look good, you are using JSN or H&N pellets on the heavy side. That is, if you want to reach out further than a sling shot. :)

@Expert Airgun Reviews / AirgunWeb / AirgunWebTV thanks for getting back I have the 22 mag too in first gen had to send back for repair, one day it was fine next day lost about half it's power, I run it over the chronograph and 14.3 grains were going about 550, hoping to get it back soon
@@bronsonwisdom8094 One thing I learned with gamo on repairs. Make sure you are losing 100fps before you send it back for repair. I sent them one early, (I notice problems at 80 yards but fps was not dropping much yet.), and they probably shot 10 shots at 20 yards over a crony, and sent it back with nothing done, but my scope rings missing. So now that is failed,--I will send it back again, and let them know why nicely.
I bought one a month ago and after 500 rounds the magazine feed stopped working and it is now a single shot by using a pellet pen. Can you suggest how to repair this? Thanks, Jim
I have dealers who will sell 22 cal in Illinois but the 22 is natl backorder too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a Hatsan 125 22 cal which shud eat this for breakfast.
Altitude above sea level, air density and air humidity and existing air temperature, as well as pellet weight and shape, will all have an effect on your gun velocity as well as shot groupings at measured set distances, also heat generated by gun air compression can also affect the next following shot, the more you shoot, the more heat you generate. Consider all elements when testing.
Isn't the independent second stage adjustment screw there to resolve exactly what you said? There are 2 screws. One to extend or shorten stage one- another to extend or shorten stage 2. Both are factory set in the center. I don't understand how shortening the "throw" of the second stage doesn't resolve the "second stage trigger creep you dislike?
I was bragging about my gun making a dime sized group and it continues to do it today for about 30 shots, I refilled the mag and started shooting again and the things all over the place. Scope mounts rings stock screws everything's tight what could be the issue? It's really frustrating it being dead on accurate and all of a sudden it's not, any ideas?
@Expert Airgun Reviews / AirgunWeb / AirgunWebTV high and lows 10.6 grain copper magnum 903, 861. Hollow point 7.9 grain 1163, 1148. Gamo rockets 9.6 grain 1063, 1035. Gun should be about broke in I've had atleast two tins on ammo through it
@@bronsonwisdom8094 If you dieseled it, you may have a damaged piston seal. If not, here is a trick I figured out. The o-ring is a sleeve that can easily be pulled out of the groove. I suspect my .22 is forcing air around the sleeve, especially after the first shot of the setting, (which always seems to be a pretty good shot). You can pull that sleeve out, wash it with something that won't hurt the rubber, and put a little bit of gasket sealer on the end and put it back in. Let it cure for 2 days before shooting, (so try don't cock it). I am also going to make a sleeve washer .010" thick to put under the sleeve for a better breech seal, (hopefully the barrel closes correctly, and i think it will. I have measured as high as 930fps with a 16.2gr pellet, (normal is about 875fps), and i am hoping to get that with no more than a 10fps variance after I seal and stack the o-ring sleeve. That is a lot of pressure, and that sleeve is not a press fit. I am sure air is working around it, shot after shot, and your fps should tighten up.
If you shoot the springers well, with the 3 guns I have had, this one is the best. With a good JSB pellet, a good scope, and in the right hands, this is a 100 yard gun. But a head shot on small game is pretty easy at 80 yards, (and still making about 16fpe),---if you shoot springers well.
@@EarthSurferUSA thank you so much . I am going to buy a gamo on Friday I was going between 177 and 22 look at your video the 177 is the way to go from small pest control ... Thank you again bud 😀
A pellet going supper sonic will cause it be unstable is a myth but a pellet going from supper sonic to trans sonic "might." I had read into that thought but wondered why I was having good or same resaults with fast pellets ? In more truth its about gyroscopic stability and that has to do with barrel twist rates bullet densidy length velocity ect..
Hola my friend...i want to buy a new one rifle....as the Gamo magnum replay 10× gen 2 5.5 mm...but I have listen that has problems with the mechanism....of the pellets...!!!...Do you know something about it...or have you listen something else from friends of you...???... Thanks for the video...
The cocking effort is a real job,.... or so it would seem. ( If Rick`s grunting and two handed work are any indication ) I`d like to know how many pounds of effort that takes to cock. I have an idea, but I`d like to hear this figure from Rick. Along with the `required cocking effort, I can`t help but wonder how much force does it take to put a curve in that barrel. It`s great that you are testing the .177 caliber pellets and gun.
I don't think the cocking force is anywhere near the yield point for bending the steel barrel, but it may be for the suppressor. The barrel is really 15" long, (not 21" as advertised, but like the original magnum with no suppressor.), and everything else is plastic, so I am not grabbing the suppressor any higher than it's base. I had dome muscle soreness after my first day with 200 rounds in the magnum .22 version, (same cocking force I believe), but you figure out how to use your leverage the best when you are sore. :) I usually break the barrel with one hand, and get 2 hands on it now. 57 and out of shape.
👀I just think that if you're reviewing an air rifle from a higher than normal elevation and it's affecting velocity to that extreme, you should make that clear when posting a video like this so that it doesn't deter others from purchasing the rifle thinking that it's underperforming or not as good as they would like it to be. Something that significant should be said at the beginning of the video as a disclaimer, and even posted in your description. You can even see the results of not doing that in some of these comments which is pretty unfair to GAMO, because I've seen well over 1,500 FPS from the 177 Magnum, while not 1650 still a lot more than what you're giving it credit for in this video. This is easily a 26 FPE plus gun, when you're only giving it credit for 21 or 22 FPE. I do respect your expertise though.
The .22. For this .177 gun, you will want to try anything over lead 10gr., to put more energy into the animal, and not through it. That is why I like the .22 better. But with accuracy, this works. :)
Hey Rick, I bought this rifle last week and I have a real problem with this rifle. While loading the rifle from the magazine, pellets seem to be falling off while cocking the rifle. As a result I dry fired the rifle a couple times unknowing that the pellets had fallen off. Later on I realized it. I am disappointed. Has any one had this issue with this rifle or is my .177 a faulty one?
What pellets are you using. Make sure that the rubber o-ring catches at the waist. If you are shooting slugs or pellets without a waist you may have issues.
I have used 5 different pellets, Gamo rocket, Gamo redfire, Crossman premier hollow point, Crossman premier pointed and RWS superdome. The worst seem to be RWS superdome - I saw 5 pellets fall out of the gun, out of 10 in the magazine. The only pellet that did not fall of is Crossman hollow point, but I had this problem with all the rest of the pellets.
Ohh, I gotta do the math for that one. Pause/calculate/done. Is your pellet 7.8gr? That is what the math works out for,---and there is not a .22 that light on Pyramyd air. Education starts after graduation today son,---and I have used math to win a court case by myself against a lawyer, (but they are not that bright either). You are busted, and your entire generation needs to redefine "class action law suit" and sue your schools.
Great review, and very informative espacially for beginners. As a Gamo user for several years, i tell you that all is well about Gamos, regarding what you get for the price, but that RRR rail does absolutly nothing to protect your scopes, i have a Black fusion mach1 in 4.5mm that destroyed 2 scopes, so my advice, don't go there. But all in all, good accurate rifles you can call a "go to" rifle.
I've always been impressed with the accuracy of Gamo rifles.
I just got done shooting my gen1 .22 and that thing is stupid accurate. I was hitting mini liquor bottle caps at 30 yards.
I know this was a while back but my magnum .177 loves the cross man piranhas great accuracy hands down with those pellets

Well I'm back here to give you my experience with the
.22 gamo swarm magnum gen 2.
That is a lot of $$ for a air rifle here in nz that would be in the same price range as diana or other German top rifles. my old hatsan 125TH .25 cal with Crossman gas piston (2012) a 3-9X56 $40 scope and JSB diabolo exact I got one and a half inch groups at 100 meters or 110 yards 9 out of 10 times every time and that flyer was usually a pulled shot, I never missed at that range when shooting european starlings, it only dropped 10 inches and no amount of wind on a sunny day pushed that pellet
You could not get Hatsan parts either with out a credit card over the computer,---so I gave the gun away. Terrible quality on that .30 cal break barrel too. But the smack down was great if you remembered what mill dot to use as it dropped one every 8 yards. :)
If you shoot like you say you do,----we should compete. :)
finally someone doing a review who can shoot!!! I am looking to buy one and all other reviewers couldn't group anything and I was think of not buying one. I like these new Gamo G2's!
but keep up the good videos rick... you were the one who guided me in the right direction when I first got into air guns.
Thanks for the video. I really like your presentation, very clear and easy to understand! Again, Thanks!
I have the same exact gun! so yeah i feel your pain Ric!!! I own the same thing for about 3 months now and is really very fun to shoot.
I had my Gamo Swarm Magnum 10X Gen2 for 3weeks good & informative video thank you .
Mine love the H&N Baracuda Hunter 10,49 Fantastic groups up to 60 meters. Love this gun.😎
Thanks Rick. Hope you are not affected by the bad weather.
I have gamo swarm wisper .177 i use many pellets and change 3 scopes because the retroces is powerful and break the scopes y buy a hatsan optima 3-9x40 scope for hard retroces and the better pellet for 50 yards was the Daysi hollow points is not to much wind
I try many kinds of air guns but honestly the best what I find and it's my special opinion (Gamo is the best )
It's give you the permed of the shooting needs
1: light weight
2: accuracy
3:power
As a quality engineer myself, Gamo quality,----blows hatsan away.
Thanks for the data!
Just got mine and dam makes a loud crack
It looks like if you go with a lead pellet over 8 grain it should bring you under 1100 fps and make it considerably quieter. I have a bunch of the 7.8 grain Gamo Tomahawk that I shoot out of an older single shot nitro piston that aren't too bad. Granted it doesn't have nearly as much power as this rifle. The .22 version of this rifle is also considerably quieter with lead pellets if sound level is your main concern.
@@falcoln0014 yes 7.4gr are way to loud 10.4 are nice and quiet
What pellet cracked about 5 gr

Just got min in 1.77. Fantastic rifle with a lot of power and precision👍😎
Great review!
I wish the barrels were interchangable then. No open sights on a break barrel is a deal breaker for me.
Got tired of the cocking😎 Ed da pro snippin backyard man 💥💪😱
Review the gen3 .177 with pellet testing for accuracy and speed.
All my airguns are .22 cal. I got a fair deal on it so I could give someone a deal if they want it. Will see tomorrow
Thank you for saving me the time on this
I’m blown away by the accuracy of the super light pellets.

I would like to see the Gamo swarm, Magnum three
Great rifle Gamo, I always liked the Gamo Swarm Magnum!
Thanks more test on 177 call.thanks
I think they will embers you as to how good they shoot. Making you look better than good.
Let the gun do its "groove thing", and that muzzle will be in the same place when the pellet leaves it every time.
cheek "and" shoulder
By the way, it was Tom Gaylord at the "Round Table" with you guys, who explained to me the dynamics of a piston gun. I just took it a step further, and barely touch my cheek and shoulder, and it works. Spend an afternoon playing with it at 50 yards plus. I think you will be testing springers at 50 years plus after a afternoon of shooting, and leave the polymags and gamo pellets to the short range guys, who leave the gun manufactures logo imprint on their cheek. :)
Just bought this rifle today...looking to upgrade the scope and any new info on ammo specs are welcome 🙏
Nice grouping with all the pellets really nice job keep it up.
Can you do a review on the 3i
Have another video but with .22 same Swarm Magnum?
👍 . Have you tried the 10.03gr JSB Knock Out yet ? How About That !?. ?
My Swarm Magnum in .177 has quite a bit more power than this. For instance, the Gamo Blue Flame non-lead pellets (5.4 grains) do 1495 fps on average for 26.8 ft/lbs. And I get 1350fps from H&N Green Baracuda 6.64 grain , which is also 26.8 ft/lbs. For lead, I get 1015 with Crosman Premier Magnums (10.5 grains), which generates 24 ft/lbs. I haven't had the rifle in .177 long (I've had it in .22 since last summer) so I need to chronograph some more pellets, but so far I am amazed I'm that close to 30 ft/lbs in .177!
being at 4600 ft will do that.
@@eodisfun I'm at 900 ft, I think. Surprised how much difference it makes.

Does this have an equivalent without a magazine feature?
Magazine body comes off. I have a .22 and took it off right away. For me it was just an unsightly thing.
Almost, the Gamo Jungle 1250. The Jungle is spring, not gas but otherwise the same. The spring however, has no "twang", so it shoots very much the same as the Swarm Magnum.

Were the rws 7.0 pellets lead? Man this rifle is a beast thanks for sharing! Do you have a similar video with the 22? I’m curious if any lead pellets will break the sound barrier or if I would have to get an alloy pellet to achieve that speed?
The rws hobby is a LEAD Pellet. I used them a lot in CO2 rifles and pistols. Consistent

Like that finger pointing, yeah right back at you, you know how we do about this time lol
Would you recommend a different optic, a Hawke AirMax(Mildot) or Horus reticle scope?
How many fps with lead sharp tip 177 pellets, thinking about purchasing if it's at least 900 fps. Love know .
1338fps? and is there other that perhaps cost much less (like the Varmin) and perform fairly close? thanks!
Roadster is better or replay
Are you shooting at 15 or 20 yards?
Shooting at 20 yards. I may do a follow up video at longer yards.. want to see what it can do at 50 yards? I need more likes and shares on the video and then I can keep the gun a little longer before sending it back.

Does it? What does it produce FPE, FPS, shot groups, video footage?
How is that right the gamo swarm magnum gen2 shoots 1650 with 8 grain pellets but it only shoots 1100 with 7 gran that doesn’t make since
Altitude above sea level, air density and air humidity and existing air temperature, as well as pellet weight and shape, will all have an effect on your gun velocity as well as shot groupings at measured set distances, also heat generated by gun air compression can also affect the next following shot, the more you shoot, the more heat you generate.
Do you have a chrony? You need to check velocity and consistency. From there you can start to narrow things down.

Oh, clean out the groove too. I will use a bit of brake cleaner for that, because it is steel.
Sounds funny, but I'm buying one of these and putting a thermal on it lmao
Great testing. The gamo gen 11. 22cal is it any good for grouping ?
If you shoot the springers well, with the 3 guns I have had, this one is the best. With a good JSB pellet, a good scope, and in the right hands, this is a 100 yard gun. But a head shot on small game is pretty easy at 80 yards, (and still making about 16fpe),---if you shoot springers well.

@@EarthSurferUSA Well there you are then!
What ever happened to that 1650 gamo?
What pellet is the best for that gun for hunting squirrel and rabbits
The .22. For this .177 gun, you will want to try anything over lead 10gr., to put more energy into the animal, and not through it. That is why I like the .22 better. But with accuracy, this works. :)
Went through this video quickly, how far was the chrony from the muzzle?
It was about 3 to 4 feet away.

When will they have the swarm magnum in 25 cal ?
They have one of the version of it in 25
Wondering how loud it is ?
I feel like it's the scope on these guns that hurts the accuracy. It throws them around.
I forgot to add. My game swarm magnum is .177. Terrible accuracy. I have used all kinds of different pellets.
