Leo is the most thorough in the world when it comes of reviewing music products .
Thank you so much for such an amazing compliment!!!
I just realized what a good rhetorical method it is that you use in your presentations by presenting your intended purpose and the order of discussion. Yet another element that makes your videos so easy to watch. Thank you, Leo.
Thank you so much for your feedback!!!
Your videos are very detailed. You put a lot of work on them. I appreciate this. Thank you for making them.
Hi Daniel, thank you so much, and I'm happy that you appreciate the videos!!!
Great review. I was curious about the gap when switching presets in the NUX , and you gave the answer. 👍🏼
Thank you so much, I'm really happy that you enjoy the video and find it useful!!!
Was waiting for this!!!
Thank you!
Thank you very much for the effort and this video.
Both look excellent units and after watching this video, I want them both :)
You are welcome!!!
😀👍
Your comparison videos are super thorough. Some of the best I have seen. Your knowledge of the tech involved is way more advanced then my knowledge. I learn something evert time. I was super curious about these units. The boss had a hiss to it. The nux sounded better to me.
Hi, thank you sooo much, I'm really happy that you appreciate the videos!!!!
Thank you also for sharing your findings!
This was the comparison I wanted to see! Leo, you are an absolute gift to the guitar community. Thank you friend!
Thank you sooooo much for such an amazing compliment!!!
Great demo song. Always fun to hear what you come with on each of these videos (the demo song is usually my favorite part of the videos). I've never been a Boss user, so I lean toward the Nu-X stuff. Not enough to replace my POD Go yet though. God bless and rock on 🎸👍😎
Thank you....you know that when you like my music, I'm super happy!!!
If you are fine with your POD GO...non need to change...😀👍
Thank you!
Great video as usual. Thank you very much.
Greetings from Brazil.
You are welcome and I'm really happy that you appreciate the video!!!
Greetings from...Venice...😀
Leo, always amazing to learn from you. I must mention that noise is a big issue when recording and while I hear the Boss as having more detailed definition in general, I also heard much more noise while notes decayed (especially Plexi). It would not be a huge issue in a track but soloed out, it is substantial and to much noise can take a great track and make it sound like a demo. Thanks
You are welcome and I'm really happy that you appreciate the videos!
Thank you also for sharing your findings!
Once again you really made a great comparison. I two questions - are the included interface good enough or do prefer externals connect them via your own ones? Regarding their amp models which one do you think is a bit more “authentic “ ? I understand you’re not so willing to share your preferences but I would appreciate just some hints. Keep on with you great work and playing!
Beautiful music Leo. Sounded great with all the amps.
Thank you sooo much, I'm really happy that you like the music!!!!
I admire your effort to bring the gear closer to musicians
Thank you sooo much, I'm really happy that you appreciate the videos!!!
Thanks for this, Leo. I've been waiting for it. You should get a medal for services to guitarists everywhere!
I found that the plexi model on the Trident had quite a lot of digital noise, partucularly as the envelope was fading. The Trident doesnt seem to be quite as dynamic either. I was all set to snap one up, but now I'm not so sure. Unfortunately the Boss doesn't have the flexibility I need.
Please keep up the great work! The song was great too.
Hi, thank you so much for such amazing compliments!!!

Thank you!
Thank you for your excellent comparison and demonstration . I have both a Boss ME80 and a NUX 30 G. I have used the Boss live 2 or 3 times live each week for the past 3 years and , other than damage to the USB port ( I probably forced the cable in too hard ! ) it has never let me down and is simple to use live either in memory or manual mode . The NUX sounded great at first but I soon got lost by too much choice and the need to add more footswitches (by midi) . The Trident seems to solve the FS problem . My only other reservation on The NUX would be the reliability . I recently purchased a NUX Horseman which sounded great but only lasted 2 weeks . There is a video on YT showing how to replace a chip in this pedal with the suggestion that this is quite a common fault possibly due to a poor quality component . In my experience , Boss products have proven reliability .
Hi, thank you so much for sharing your experience and I'm happy that you have appreciated the video!
I purchased a Nux mg 30. About 2 months ago. Like it. Been wanting a Boss 90 too now. All i need for home use. Thanks Leo your amazing player and Review man. 😎👍✌️💯🎸🎸. Im a Boss, Nux, and MXR. Fan 😊

@@AlonsoJimenez-lb3xk either one is good buddy. The Boss 90 is easier to use. But the Nuxmg30 has more options. Why not buy both 😂😂👍✌️✌️🎸 either way, it's good your decision 😉😔

Hi Leo, thanks for this great demo. Btw, what brand is the guitar without headstock on the left?

Thank you, Leo!)
Pls try new Boss GM-800
You are welcome!
Yes, that's another super interesting unit...maybe in the future...
Thank you!
Great comparison video Leo. I have purchased the ME90 and it doesn’t take much to dial in a great tone. My only criticism is that sometimes It feels like when you turn a knob, it doesn’t quite align with the effect that you choose. This makes you have to look closely to make sure you have selected the right effect which takes away from it being very easy to use. I’m not sure if others have the same issue and I hope it’s just a matter of getting used to it. I guess time will tell
Hi, thank you so much, I'm really happy that you appreciate the video!!!
Thank you also for sharing your experience....Iinteresting point...
this might be when you are switching from a patch to manual mode, by default it remembers the settings of the patch (rather than what the dials are actually set to) when you switch to manual. However you can change this setting :)
Page 16 of the manual shows you how - basically you need to go through the settings until you see what looks like an 'n' with the top of the n floating in the air. Change this value from 1 to 0 then press write and you're sorted :)
Nice video Leo, you're the best! btw can you make a video about nux trident vs valeton gp200 please. I really want to know what are the advantages of both of them and also do you have any multi-effects recommendation besides two of them around 200-400$, Thank you!
Hi, I will think about it, thank you for your suggestion!
As regards multi effect recommendation...I try not to give "direct" suggestions, as I don't know your needs and you tastes, and the risk is than that you are not happy with the unit: for this reason I try to make these reviews and comparison, trying to give you the "elements" to decide. I hope you understand
Thanks!
Great video, as always. But I have different question - those headphones behind you, are they wireless? And do you use them for playing guitar? Is it possible due to latency issue?
Thank you so much, I'm happy that you like the video!!!!
The headphones are a pair of Audeze planar magnetic headphone that I use for mixing. These are not wireless headphones. of course if you use wireless headphone, latency would sum up.
Thank you!
Great job Leo, that must have taken a lot of work! 👏
I bought the 90, I’m not a big fan of the amp sims but the effects are so rich and colourful, I love it.
I watched your explanation of a 4 cable method, do you think it would sound worse than the GX100?
I would probably upgrade at some point if there is a difference, I really like the way the GX100 can change your amp channel.
Thanks for the video sir, have a great day!
Thank you so much, I'm really happy that you like the video!!
The GX 100 is advertised by BOSS to be used with the 4CM with your amp and has actually a ground lift switch, where the ME 90 is not advertised by BOSS to be used with the 4CM and it does not have the ground lift available in the GX 100. I have not tried myself, but the GX 100 should work better with the 4CM.
Thank you!
@@LeoGibsonGtr ah ok I remember you saying about ground lift. Thanks very much for the reply 👍
You are welcome!
Thanks for the great comparison video! I’m considering a unit without a built in expression pedal, and would love to hear a "more sounds" comparison between the Trident and the Hotone Ampero 2 Stomp. (Or anyone’s thoughts on the two)
You are welcome and I'm happy that you like the comparison!
Thank you also for your suggestion!
Hi Leo. This was one of your best videos ever. FANTASTIC comparison. I agree with all you said. Personally, I probably will prefer the Boss, because of simplicity. However, it's disappointing to pay $30 more for the power adapter. I can understand why the "2-cents" section was difficult for you, both units are great. If at all possible, it will be great if you can compare the Boss ME-90 , perhaps even the Nux Trident to the Valeton GP-200. I mentioned that before. The valenton is cheaper than both but it'll be great to hear your 2-cents on all factors. Thanks for your great channel .
Thank you sooo much, I'm really super happy that you have appreciated the video!
Yes, both Trident vs GP 200 and ME 90 vs GP 200 are interesting videos....I have something else in the pipeline, but I will think about this comparison in the coming weeks.
Thank you!!!
@@LeoGibsonGtr Great. Leo, again, this is a great great channel. Truly. Thanks for all your hard work.
You are welcome and thank you!!!!
Thank you for this, Leo. I am trying to decide between these two right now. I'm leaning towards the ME-90, mostly for the tweakability.
You are welcome and thank you for sharing your findings!
@@LeoGibsonGtr The Trident is being advertised at US$450 here, about $100 more than the ME 90 (preorders for both - they don't seem to have shipped yet). From what I've heard so far, I think the Trident's sound is slightly better, but not $100 worth. Plus, the expression pedal is good for me, as I probably wouldn't buy one if it weren't. But I'm most likely going to run my ToneX pedal in the loop and turn off the ME 90's amp sim anyway, so not much of a difference, really.
Until I saw your video, I was not aware that you could output your dry signal from the ME 90. That might actually be the deciding factor right there. That really opens up the recording possibilities.
Sorry for the ramble. Thinking at the keyboard.
Thank you for sharing!
Great playing as always, what modeler do you think is best between the Nux Trident, Pod Go, or the Valeton 200. Which one do you lean more towards....Thanks
Thank you so much, I'm really happy that you like the video!!!
Amazing!
Thank you sooo much!!!
As I understand 1.7 ms latency is basically unnoticeable. Great review!
Thank you! Yes, it's a very very good value.
I am SO glad I watched your video. Such a thorough review and, critically for me, the comparison of the models against the genuine amps. I had my heart set on getting a trident but I really wanted a good emulation of a plexi and it’s so disappointing. The me 90 is better but neither are close. I’ll keep waiting for a machine which has the trident’s features but better plexi sounds. That said, both modellers did pretty good copies of the fender amp.
Hi, thank you for sharing and I'm happy to have been of some help!
Boss is the boss. I'm 53, want it simple. I'll keep my GT 1. Thanks for the demo and comparison Leo.
You are welcome and thank you for sharing your findings!
Great job!!!!! Grazie mille
Grazie a te!!!!
Great comparison, thank you. One question...can we record the aux-in along with the guitar tones?
Hi, thank you sooo much!!! I think we can....but I'm bot 100% sure, as I have not tried myself. If someone has tried, please drop here a message!
@@LeoGibsonGtr thank you. I can do it on my NUX MG-30, and it helps make videos a bit easier not needing to match backing track to playing. Thanks for the assistance!
Hello Leo, thanks for another great video! Regarding questions for future videos, could you please address the issues of FX Loop on the Boss.
First, it doesn't officially support it with an amp, no mention of it anywhere in the manual, just says you can plug in more pedals through FX Loop. This means that the unit can't be used in 4CM with a real amp, as a real multi FX unit, which is pretty crazy to say the least. Apparently it works, but since Boss doesn't mention it anywhere could using it in such way destroy the unit? Or the amp?
Second question is about "Amp mode", apparently speaker sim is ON even in amp mode! They detailed this issue in Me-90 thread on TheGearPage forum. This is even crazier, so even if the FX Loop does work with an amp it is pretty much useless since you're always sending an already "miced" sound into your amp.
Thanks on any first hand info on these subjects!
Hi, thank you so much, I'm really happy that you like the video!
I have actually talked about the 4CM in my deep dive video. You can check it out here: th-cam.com/video/0PpeoT_cS58/w-d-xo.html
As regards the second topic...I have to check it out...
Thank you of your suggestions!
I don’t know how you do it, but any device that you review sounds good 🙂 I get normal sound only with amplitube4 and recently I managed to squeeze out normal sound with amplitube 5 and then only with a third-party impulse mesa 4 * 12 and 421 mic
Hi, thank you for sharing!
I particularly like the nostalgic sad feeling of this times demo composition
Thank you so much, when you like my music...I'm super happy!!!!
I may have missed it but I don't remember hearing about stereo effects with the Trident. The outputs are labeled output 1 and 2 and not left and right and I can't see in the PDF that there are any stereo settings for any of the effects such as for chorus and delay. I know the send and return are mono which is a letdown but would make sense if the output is mono as well. If designed for mostly live use, then course mono makes perfect sense... but it wouldn't work for me as a recording platform.
Amazing comparison Leo, thank you! What would you recommend for someone new to modelers looking to play at home with headphones? Nux Trident, Nux MG 30, or Amplitube with Axe audio interface?
All these solutions are good....I would go with an all in one...MG30 or Trident according to your need (do you want physical knobs?)....but also the computer route is fine.
Thank you, I might prefer knobs, so less computer time and more playing!@@LeoGibsonGtr
Hello Leo, first I want to say that I love your channel. I would like to know if you have compared the Nux Trident with the Mooer Ge250 or 300 to know which is more practical and has better sounds. Greetings
Hi, so far I have not compared the Trident to other modellers other than the ME 90, as my intention was to compare modellers offering tactile experience. Maybe I will do more comparisons in the future.
Thank you!
Sorry Leo but you left me no other choice than subscribing to your channel. I do not take any responsibility for the amount of likes and comments I put in your videos.🌵
😀 than you so much, I'm really happy that you appreciate the videos and your sub really means a lot to me!!!
@@LeoGibsonGtr Thanks to you.
I found your channel a few weeks ago and yesterday, while I was looking for reviews of the NUX Ace of Tone, I thought: "I wonder if Leo Gibson has a video of it", and indeed you have one. That is when I realized you often post videos of gear relevant to my interests, so it is only fair that I subscribe. Best regards!
Your knowledge of this type of equipment is amazing. Out of all the modelers on the market now, which one has the most bang for the buck, in your opinion?
Hi, thank you! Well, it's hard to answer, each modeller has it's pro and cons, and a suggestion here would hardly depend on my personal preference and I could suggest the wrong modeller for your need. That's why I'm making the comparison videos, so that you can choose according to your need.
Thank you for your question and your patience
Hey Leo, there is one thing that "anoys" me on your videos I think it would be an easy fix, when you compare the tones of any two units, it takes too much time to go from one to the other ( from the loudest of one to the loudest of the other) and I forget what the one before sounds like, If you could make these switches faster I think it would be more usefull for the listener .going back to the real amp after the firt modeler and then to the second modeler could also help ,thanks for reading!
Hi, thank you for your feedback! Yes, I see...let me just add that I try to let you hear the whole sound, I mean also hearing the decay and the way the tone feeds out, and how the noise starts to become more present in the sound, etc...if I make shorter takes, you are not gonna hear all these nuances....there are always pros and cons for any approach....😀
Usually I prefer the computer chips, but I'm liking the real Plexi and TS on the demo song. Has clearer/fluid tracking of transients. ME-90 is pretty good, NUX is sounding a little fuzzy/soft.
Hi, thank you for sharing!
Superb video as usual. THANKS. It is said that the White box technology (which models the real components) is closer to reality in terms of feeling and feedback which makes it possible to become one with the guitar and the sound that is produced. Nux uses this technology and improves it day by day. Most of the modelers on the market including Boss do not use this technology, they use a black box technology which consists of reproducing a sound without really knowing what creates it. It is difficult by a video to translate this feeling. What about the feeling of these two multi effects? As such I can say that my Amp Academy or my MG 30 are much more reactive than all the simulations I have tried on my ToneX for example. Thank you Leo for your job.
Thank you so much, for your amazing compliments and I'm happy that you like the video!!!
I have tried to let you hear the feel when comparing the dynamic range and the note envelope of the modellers versus the Plexi...it's hard for me to express the "feeling" in words...I prefer to let you hear the tests in the video.
Thank you!
So, you preferred the MG30 to Tonex? Was that the pedal or the App?
Hi @@MatGurman , it is the app that I have iintensely compared (more powerfull than the pedal, due to PC microprocessor much more powerfull), but I have listen the same issue on the different internet reviews. White box adds clearly more dynamics. Nowadays, multieffects processors are powerfull enough to support White box technology which is the only one which can really emulate a discret electronic device with all the components (and not only imitate). Some really interesting informations can be seen in this blog : monkcustom.blogspot.com/2023/06/ModelerProfiler.html . And in the associated videos, you can clearly listen what I mean. For me the winner combination is trident plus analogic pedals in effect loop. I own actually the mg 30 and amp academy because the trident is not yet available. I can have quite the same sound of my analogic pedals with the MG 30 but not yet exactly the same dynamic so I use use still them, but Nux makes some improvments years after years. Do not judge this multieffect according to its price, it is now a non sense. For me it is one of the best guitar multi effect if you consider sound, dynamics and the most important criteria for me, the feeling. Thanks
Hi Leo, can you do a comparison for pitch shifting capabilities?
Hi, yes, this is something I would like to do (I said it at the end of the video)...
Thank you for your patience!
The End User has to determine ahead of time what features they really need. This is a challenge for first time Modeler purchasers. For Classic Boss sounds, the ME 90 is a good choice, and for creating new, customizable sounds, the NUX Trident is probably a better choice.
I hope you get a chance to review the new Boss GM-800. I've read that it has the "complete power of the Roland ZEN-Core synthesis engine". It sounds great, but I'm always more interested in the creative features, rather than simply recreating the past. "The Roland Zenology was initially released in May 2020 as a rackmount-style softsynth built on the ZEN-Core engine which powers the Jupiter-X and Fantom." Wikipedia
Thanks
Hi, thank you for sharing!
Yes, the GM 800 looks very interesting....I'm not sure if I will be able to get one...let's see in the coming weeks.
Thank you!
Boss ME-90 is behaving more like real amps.
Hi, thank you for sharing your findings!
Interesting so the ME-90 native clock is at 48k, but if you connect it to a DAW via USB that is running @ 96k the unit will clock up to that? Does the 90 lose processing capacity? Have you confirmed this in something like Logic? I realize its computer dependant but I would like to know what the Resulting Roundtrip latency ratio is when switching a project between 48 k and 96 k. Great review.
Thank you so much, I'm happy that you appreciate the video!
Interesting point...when connected to my MAC, my MAC allows me to choose 44.1, 48 or 96 khz...I have not tried 96, as I always record at 48....therefore I don't have the answer...furthermore my latency test is done using the analog out of the unit, that is the way we would use the unit live. As you said, the latency using the unit connected via usb to a computer would depend also on your computer.
Thank you!
Grazie!!
Prego e grazie a te!!!

? 🎸💯👍🇵🇱Pozdrawiam. Jestem Polakiem ale mieszkam we Francji
Finally a detailed comparison! I was surprised that the Boss ME-90 is way heavier than the trident despite its plastic construction, also Nux has a more accurate gain range than Boss, they really stepped up their game from their previous algorithm. Really appreciate all the hard work from you Leo!
Thank you so much, I'm happy that you appreciate the video!!!! Yes, I put a lot of work in this video...so I'm glad you appreciate it!!!
Hello, I have the MG30 and was wondering of the sound difference between the NME-5 and the MG30. There aren't any videos on that. How does it compare?
Hi, good point....I should some deep dive videos about MG 30 vs Trdent....maybe in the coming weeks.
Thank you!
What would be the best choice for metal? Which sounds more organic in terms of high gain distortion? Thanks!
Hi, I'm not a metal player, but I think they are both fine for that purpose.
Thank you for your question!
Hello there! Thank you for this review! Can you give me your opinion on Boss's COSM vs AIRD tech. Can you , as a player feel the difference in how it responds to your playing dynamics? I want to understand if there is considerable difference between boss GT1 (COSM) and Boss ME-90 (AIRD), in how it responds to your playing..
Hi, you are welcome!
I have done a video about that topic that I think you may want to check out here: th-cam.com/video/f0mXQV7fjsA/w-d-xo.html
@@LeoGibsonGtr thank you!
You are welcome!
The Boss ME 90 has the ability to run on AA Batteries, (like it predecessor The Boss ME 80, and The Boss GT-1), that’s a biggie for me. And it’s much easier to use, and sounds great! That’s why the Boss wins for me🎸
Hi, thank you so much for sharing your findings!!
Do you know if it's possible to turn OFF the cab sim on the jack outputs, but keep them ON on the XLR outputs with the NUX Trident?
Hi, unfortunately I don't know...I'm sorry.
Merci beaucoup pour cette vidéo 👍.
I've got a valeton GP 200, and there is a latense ( I mean like a small late between the different sound) when I change clear sound to overdrive sound. Is it the same problem with the Boss Me 90?
Sorry my English is not good 😕
Hi, I think it is almost gapless. You can check out the part of the video where I let you listen the gap when switching presets.
Thank you!
Thank you very much 👍
You are welcome!
Thanks
Thank you so much!!! It means a lot to me!!!!
@@LeoGibsonGtr Keep up the great work. Thank you for every minute you share.
🙏🙏🙏
might have missed it, but the NUX have trails and does it have that mute when switching patches?
Hi, you find both the info in the Feature comparison of the video (after the demo song). There is also a test of both the units switching presets...
Thank you!
Great Video and excellent musicianship as always.
I just purchased the ME-90, and found my tones right away. I don't have the Trident, but I do have the NUX Mighty Space, and I have been tweaking to find my particular tones without much success so far. I must stress that I am a Flamenco guitarist using nylon strings and Flamenco techniques, so my use case differs from practically every one else in your community (nevertheless, I recognize the quality of your performance every time you play your electric guitars).
I have gotten excellent tones from HX Stomp, GT1000Core, Ampero 2 Stomp, and even GT-1 and GT-001 by now I know pretty much what I am looking for. (For nylon strings, I turn the bass completely off, since for the pickups the energy of the bass strings overwhelms that of the mid and treble strings) I bought Fishman Aura Pro systems for all my guitars except for one where I am using Takamine's CT4-DX - For the Cordobas, the internal mic pickups were way too bassy with the internal mic (proximity effect); the Aura Pro's solved that problem. Those were very expensive solutions - but in the early days, the Barcus-Berry pickus et. al. were goddawful.
These days, almost any of the stick-on acoustic pickups are excellent for under #100. My current favorite is the Adeline pickup with the gain knob, although the KNA is excellent as well:
I'll keep struggling with the NUX Mighty Space, though; the form factor is excellent. I also have the Spark 40, but only marginal success with that as well, even with the EQ update.
Nevertheless, I am delighted that great sounds are possible with the units I mentioned above. It is just that at 83 years old, I don't have much time to enjoy them left. (but the Pandemic and restaurant collapses pretty much wiped out public appearances for me and the Japanese Koto player next door as well ... :)
Keep up the great work!
"Flamenco Chuck"
Hi Chuck, thank you so much, I'm really happy that you appreciate my playing!
Thank you also for sharing your experience....very interesting points....the Aura pro was something I wanted to test...maybe in the future I will give it a try. I have studied classical guitar when I was a kid (even if no flamenco technique) ... and I love it...therefore your experience is very interesting for me.
The fact that at 83 you are still so open minded, still willing to play and searching for your tone....is really encouraging for me!
Thank you so much for your message!
@@LeoGibsonGtr The Auera Pro I use is mounted on the guitar, internally using their Matrix Pickup system. I purchased the pedal version of the Aura Pro earlier, but it didn't help much, since the main issue was the pickups.
How does the ME90 it sound through the fender FR12 vs being connected to a katana ?
Hi, I don't have the FR12 or the Katana, therefore I can't tell. I'm sorry.
With the Katana you have a real speaker, that you have to disable in the ME 90, with the FR12 you have a FRFR speaker, therefore you can live active the cab sim in the ME 90...other than that, I don't know which is gonna sound better, as I don't have them.
could you do on the me90 so that you use instead of the canvas stereo dual line isolator, only two cables that are male jack to female xlr?? or would it be 100 times worse sound??
You can, the L and R output are stereo, therefore if your pair in a mono XRL you don't take any of the advantages of the XLR cables...that help to manage noise.
Thank you!
If you don't plan to use an app, it seems like the Boss is much easier to use. That coupled with the expression pedal makes it a no-brainer for the ME-90 for me. I can't live without a volume pedal.
Hi, thank you for sharing!!!!
I've since then purchased the ME-90 and used it several times with my jam band and live. It has been awesome, it is so easy to dial in effects on the fly. Only problem I had was with some fizziness on high gain, but a York Audio IR fixed that.
Can you do a video BOSS ME 90 vs Headrush mx5 please??!!
Im thinking very seriously to buy one of them
Hi, thank you for your suggestion! I will think about it, even if these are two pretty different machines...one with a tactile experience with knobs etc. and the other one with a touch screen.
Thank you!
@@LeoGibsonGtr that makes it more interesting, twl diferent worlds and which is better, thank you bro😁🤘🏻
Hi Leo, I´m trying to find Boss micro BR 80 but it seems discontinued. What you suggest to replace it?
Hi, I never had a micro BR 80, therefore I can't tell from direct experience. I would say a tablet + something like the NUX Mighty plug pro
Thank you
Hi! I need more informations about IR slots. Boss only 3 ??
Hi, yes, BOSS has 3 slots for external IRs.
Thank you!
boss is build quality and excellent sound. Nux and mooer have good performance, but their build quality is poor, they can fail from day to day without prior notice.
Hi, thank you for sharing your experience and your findings!
I would mention also, Boss is one of the best brands for customer service / technical support, Mooer is ugly. I tried to contact Nux several times but never answered.. Trident is really nice but I'm very scared to buy again something like GE-300 (problems with switch on/off, headphones out stop working, the same with volume pedal)
Forgot to mention that after adding the Boss BT-DUAL adapter, the ME-90 supports both Boss FS-1-WL, and EV-1-WL wireless pedals
Good point. Thank you for sharing!
Zoom has something similar with knobs.
Have you tried it?
Hi, you mean the Zoom G11 or G6? I have tried both units.
Thank you!
@@LeoGibsonGtr the G11 is probably comparable feature wise.
Yes, I have it...and there are some videos about it in the channel...
Thank you!
Which one has the best tactile?❤
I would say that I didn't notice any noticeable difference in this area.
Thank you!
BOSS FOR LIFE!!
Thank you for sharing
No Autowhah in Trident 😢😢
I think the Boss has more lifespan because in years to come you could put a better pedal sized modeller in the loop, or use it with 4 cable method with a real amp. The Nux is less suited to these.
Hi, thank you for sharing!
Honestly the Boss is probably the only thing that makes sense for most applications before you reach the GX-100 price range. Coupled with the fact that Boss products are pretty much indestructible I can't see why anyone would go for anything else. NUX amp sims have always felt weird under the fingers (even it's latest gen).
Hi, thank you for sharing your findings!
Trident sounds like real Plexi+TS to me, BOSS Plexi+TS is muddy. Nice demo. Thanks
You are welcome and thank you for sharing your findings!!!
The Boss sounds much better to my ears
Hi, thank you for sharing!
Do I need a DI box if I purchase ME90?
Hi, you should not need it. But what is the purpose of the DI box you have in mind?
Thank you!

Hi, thank you for sharing! I was not able to find a store in USA with the Trident....
Nux trident VS Valeton GP 200 comparison video?)
Thank you for your suggestion....yes, maybe in the coming weeks...I need time for these comparisons.
Thanks!
@@LeoGibsonGtr Oh, of course! I will wait) You are the best!
Thank you sooo much!!!
@@LeoGibsonGtr I would really like to know the difference in switching speed between patches on valeton and nux, and how many patches in one preset can nux trident use, only 3? Can I remap the buttons at nux like at Valeton? How many usb channels does Valeton have?
1,6 kg the Trident !!!!!! For every day Gigs. Go for it .👍
Hi, thank you for sharing!
These may be expensive flavours of the month at the moment but there will be more expensive flavours of the month coming along in time, not sure how much further these things can go, they are ok for noodling around at home doing the superstar stuff but .........
Hi, thank you for sharing.
Bummer! No power brick for the ME-90. WTH! Boss?
Hi, I have noticed that there are two versions, one with the power brick and one without it.
@@LeoGibsonGtr great comparison video. Luv your work. 👍
Nux wasn't even close in the sound department. The Plexi model sounded quite awful to my ears. The AIRD X-amps are where it's at with the BOSS units... not trying to copy anything but they sound oh so good.
Hi, thank you for sharing!
Boss me 90 or NUX MG 30?
Hard to tell....I would say that if you like the tactile experience, go with the ME 90, otherwise with the MG 30.
Thanks
Nux trident ❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing!
Boss ME90 is the better.
Hi, thank you for sharing your findings!
Anyone agree this guy looks like Kurt Loder from MTV back when they played music videos and weren't all about politics?
😀
I just got an ME90 and I'm not overly impressed at all,I sold my ME50 but I think it had better Overdrive/Distortions and it had multiple choruses I'm begining to regret buying the ME90,its not giving me the sound I want at all.I'm going to give it a week and see what happens
Hi Adrian, thank you for sharing! Please, if you want, let us know your final decision.
It's been a month so I'm curious if you have any follow-up thoughts.
