Yes, it's and hard choice....they are both nice units....the GX is more advanced and you can build more complex signal chains and has more effects. The ME 90 has the touch sensitive interface which is super nice...
A@@LeoGibsonGtr Absolutely. I like both of them. I don't really record that often. Just for fun mostly and I play gigs at really small places that usually don't allow an amp. So, one must use some type of system that can be used by the mixing desk or the PA. The ME 90 I think would be more conducive to using via the PA without too much thought.. The GX also has the Micro Pitch adjustments with the delays and this means I wouldn't have to buy an Eventide micro pitch. Hi Leo, How can I check out the value associated to a knob? You can get the same result just holding the Edit button which i find easier. Also you can set the dials to what the patch has them set to by turning the dial while holding down Edit, when the dial matches the setting two tuning markers apear on the screen.

Hi,I looking for the best sounding unit just for home use, for recording songs over backing tracks,Nux mg-30,Valeton Gp200LT ,Moore Ge 250 or Boss me-90?
Ciao Leo, ottime informazioni come sempre.

Hi, there are no bass amps simulations in the ME 90, therefore for me it's a "no go" for bass guitar. As regards acoustic, I'm not quite sure. I mean, you can load your own IRs in the unit, therefore one IR can be dedicated to the acoustic guitar. I mean, if your guitar has a piezo, you can go in the ME 90, switch off the amp, and use an IR dedicated to the acoustic guitar. Thank you!
Grazie mille
Hi Leo. I have a question for you. I recently sold my Helix LT and have a back order on the new Boss ME90. Do you think it is better sounding for clean and light breakup than the Nux MG30. It’s really only going to be used in the studio for delivering stems and silent stage gigs going direct (not into an amp). I am an older player and the user interface and size are factors. I also use Tonex and Helix Native for recording in the box. Sometimes it’s too much of a load on the computer. I know this is a subjective thing but I trust your ear. Thanks, Mat
Hi Mat, it's hard for me to give you black or white opinion as the sound difference may depend on your taste, that are different than mine. I would suggest you to check out my comparison NUX Trident vs BOSS ME 90: th-cam.com/video/IG3gtk4T0LM/w-d-xo.html The Trident sounds similar to the MG 30 Thank you so much!!
Should I get this or just wait for the IR-2 that I’ve ordered? I have a couple other Boss pedal I want to stick on a pedal train nano+ sized board, but just the IR-2, board and power supply will run me just about as much as a ME-90. With the ME-90 I’ll be ahead by about 56 effects, but might also introduce unnecessary option paralysis. WWYD?
Well, hard to tell...probably I would go with the ME 90, as an all in one unit is more "easy"...but of course with the IR2 you would have the possibility to use your own specific effect pedals...
Between this, the GT1000 core and the boss ME90 which is a better option in terms of: - getting an almost mix-ready sound that I can directly plug into an audio interface to play /record - getting a great sound when connecting it to a PA speaker (not an amp) if I intend to go ampless on stage
Grazie
Im sure this is a fantastic gear. But, in my country, it will be priced very close to the gx100. Anything around 75%. My guess is based in the actual prices of the ME 80 and the gx100. I live in Brazil.
wow the me-90 has some weird distorted fuzz..i wanted to like this me-90 but this tone at 9:26 killed it for me. as the level rises it doesnt sound as clear and dynamic like the marshall does. Some kind of compressed boxy distorted fuzz that surrounds the tone.

Ciao Leo, ottime informazioni come sempre.
H!!!just bought a BOSS ME 90 mutieffects, and i it there's a preamp part with very good emulated 11 amps I can't use with my without loop VOX AC15C1!!!so can I use my Me90 with a FENDER AB BOX, one cable to the AMP and another cable from the ab box to the PA,,???Bu where do I have to put ten multi ti get effects in both sides???ALAIN
hello, i would like to know if i can also use an acoustic guitar/Bass guitar on the Boss ME90.. thank You
Hi, there are no bass amps simulations in the ME 90, therefore for me it's a "no go" for bass guitar.
Thank you!
The GX sounds so good
Thank you for sharing!
Do you need the bluetooth dongle to acess the boss tone studio
You can use the app on the computer for which you just need to connect the ME 90 to your computer via USB.
Thank you!
@@LeoGibsonGtr thanks im definetly gonna subscribe you give out good perspective and reviews
Thank you sooo much, your subscription really means a lot to me!!!
I would suggest you to check out my comparison NUX Trident vs BOSS ME 90: th-cam.com/video/IG3gtk4T0LM/w-d-xo.html
The Trident sounds similar to the MG 30
Thank you so much!!
Can we change parameters of reverb more than one knob in the app?
Hi, I'm sorry, I have not understood the question
They are asking if there's more control of reverb if using the app, or its still just a single control of more or less reverb.

@@LeoGibsonGtr thanks a lot for that answer Mr. Gibson. And also thank you for your very in depth videos. I’ll have to consider the ME-90.
You are welcome!
When you got a GT-8 from 2005, here is absolutely no need to sell it for the ME-90.
Hi, thank you for sharing!
Thought I was the only one with a GT-8 lol I ordered the me90 should have it in a couple weeks until then ...may plug my GT8 back in.
@@mikepaz8322 We're in good company. The best player in this world, Nuno B. relies on the GT-8.
And lets be honest: Boss sounds always the same.
Right on..I didn't know that was gonna sell it to someone who might need it but perhaps I'll keep it🤷♀️
Anyone know if you can connect your guitar to the ME-90 wirelessly and the ME-90 wirelessly to the amp?
Hi, you can with a wireless system to be purchased separately....as far as I know.
Thanks Leo, so two systems would be needed? > Guitar to ME-90 and ME-90 to Amp? @@LeoGibsonGtr
Yes. I'm not 100% sure, as I don't have tried to do it myself.
Thank you!
Thanks! @@LeoGibsonGtr
Between this, the GT1000 core and the boss ME90 which is a better option in terms of:
- getting an almost mix-ready sound that I can directly plug into an audio interface to play /record
- getting a great sound when connecting it to a PA speaker (not an amp) if I intend to go ampless on stage
mix sound: I would say that they are on pair
PA: I would say GT 1000 (I mean the regular one), as it has balanced out
Thanks!
Does it work well with Tonex ?
I've not tried yet...it should work, but I'm not 100% sure.
Why would you need ME90 if you already have Tonex. Sorry I don’t get what benefits that would give
@@tommywallbergthe effects of course
So many to choose from. I'm confused 🤔
Yes, there is plenty of choice...
Grazie ancora
Hi, Latency?
Hi, it's in the description section of my demo review: th-cam.com/video/sdVbzCM0grk/w-d-xo.html
Thanks!
Im sure this is a fantastic gear. But, in my country, it will be priced very close to the gx100. Anything around 75%. My guess is based in the actual prices of the ME 80 and the gx100. I live in Brazil.
Hi, thank you for sharing...yes, the price may vary from country to county...

wow the me-90 has some weird distorted fuzz..i wanted to like this me-90 but this tone at 9:26 killed it for me. as the level rises it doesnt sound as clear and dynamic like the marshall does. Some kind of compressed boxy distorted fuzz that surrounds the tone.
I dont know how anyone could purchaser the ME-90...it looks like something out of the 80's!
That’s exactly why I bought it: it looks like the 80’s, with all those dedicated knobs and no endless menus, but it sounds like the 2020’s.
Boss should really Upgrade their gt 1000 for this usecase. Than they would soll ir for another 5 years
