Especially since his Down Aerial's KO power got pretty toned down in Brawl back then. I just feel that Sakurai was biased against Mario in both Melee and Brawl since he was clearly focused on slowly bringing Luigi out of Mario's shadow back then. That's probably why his KO Power and Recovery kept on severely getting nerfed in both Melee and Brawl back then. Even when he finally was fixed up in Smash 4, he still had some pretty weak KO options like his Back Throw move, for example.
For floaties it's basically the only option falcon has for extending a combo if you can chain multiple upairs, it's a pretty huge and disjointed upair. I guess it's just not as guaranteed as other games with a good falcon up air, you still have to chase after your opponent and place them carefully in order to get results which requires a fair amount of precision.
64 Falcon Upsmash is TIED for the fastest smash attack in the series fyi, I know Zelda Dsmash in melee is frame 4 and I remember hearing some version of Meta Knight has a f4 dsmash if it's buffered specifically. It is the fastest Usmash in the game though.

I always thought of smash 4 falcon as a want to be melee falcon and ultimate falcon being the most unique or different version of the character. Ultimate falcon is very good but playstyle is so drastically different than any other iteration.
I think your videos would benefit so much by showing clips from competitive matches. it would add alot of work in looking through old sets but i think it would help your videos alot.

That's the same across the entire ultimate cast. Aerials have no landing lag in the game so you can just spam them and projectiles unpunished. At least in melee if you whiffed something or missed an L cancel you get properly punished or grabbed for it.
Ultimate Falcon butchered a lot of what was cool with Smash 4 falcon Hated what they did to his movement after how he was looking in pre-release Ultimate Also not a fan of all his specials being buffed because it sorta centralises his whole kit around that stuff I'm probably just used too used to him in the other games though
It would make sense that the moves that cause him to spawn literal flames out of nowhere are his most strong but I think we're all just used to the buffed out judo god race car driver instead of the magical wizard car driver aesthetic for falcon.
Brawl I hate the design and the nerfs of falcon let’s be honest most characters in brawl are trash and the characters that are less talked about are high teir but in the other games they gave falcon what he kneeded with knee buffs and more.

In 64 Captain Falcon's Up Tilt does 2 hits and twice as much damage than in Melee.
