After rinsing, spread them on a tea towel, put another tea towel on top then rub the chickpeas between the two towels which helps to dry them and also gets most of the skins off, the ones that don't come off you can usually pick off easily. :)

Very nice recipe with ingredients most have on hand! There's a bunch of fresh parsley in a cold glass of water on the sill. Weed out the ones that start to turn color, change the water and the Parsley is freshly available for a month! Looking forward to making these. Thank you 🥰

Instead of the egg could have used the liquid from the chickpeas (aquafaba) which is an excellent egg substitute. Waist not, want not. 👍🙏🏻

Insiders' Tip: Remove the skins from the chickpeas during the rinse because they are bitter.
After rinsing, spread them on a tea towel, put another tea towel on top then rub the chickpeas between the two towels which helps to dry them and also gets most of the skins off, the ones that don't come off you can usually pick off easily. :)

To make beer batter vegan instead of egg use 1 TBSP flaxsed meal + 3 TBSP water (combine and let thicken approx 5 min)
