    such a beautiful knife. I'm still waiting for a red blade variant to come out before i pick mine up, Blade HQ had some with a red blade but the handle had a death skull decal instead of the laser engraved phoenix (i am a huge fan of the engraved phoenix)

      TheA77Way I like the death logo as well but am a definitely huge fan of the red or blue blade with the same colored button truly awesome

      I'm not looking down on people who like the death skull, it's just not my thing. The color blades and the matching buttons make the knifes even better to look at for sure

      TheA77Way agreed I'd add the death skull makes an already aggressive knife look even more murdery not necessarily ideal lol.

      A year late. But Robert the owner of Asheville Steel is finally bringing the compound grind phoenixes back and the first one he did was a red version without the death skull. It's up on bladehq already which is awesome.

    Hey man I’ve got a question for you. I recently bought a Phoenix, I love it. But I have noticed that I can hear my pins inside the knife rattling. I took mine apart and cleaned it and lubed it a little bit. Put it back together and it is working properly but my pins are still rattling. Is this normal? Just curious if your Phoenix/Warlock also do this.

    • @Lugermonger35
      @Lugermonger35  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes they do both of them the Phoenix too much lesser degree my warlock rattles loud but yes they both do it

      Lugermonger hey thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. This makes me feel better. It is an excellent knife, very well made. That rattle was just a little concerning to me. But hearing that yours both do the same thing makes me more confident that the rattle just comes with the design.

      Back in the day I took a few years of transmission vocational school training and we would use a little axle grease to keep pins and ball bearings in position during assembly. Maybe a little dab of grease on the pins when fitting them into the frame. That ought to hold them in place and quiet them down a bit.

    Is the Phoenix double-edged at all or is just the one side?

    • @billvooo
      @billvooo 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      MolonLabe Warlock is double-edged. Phoenix is one side blade. There are double edged Phoenix but it's out of stock rn.

      I believe the ones with serrations also have a double edge

    Has anyone made a 3d model of this? I was hoping to print it.

    Sup Luger, you ever use any of your knives for self defense? Just wondering

    • @Lugermonger35
      @Lugermonger35  7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Benjamin .Amaya no I've never been in a violent confrontation that involved weapons the closest I've ever come as an adult I did have a man pull what look to be a broken sword or some s*** on me walking my dog possum about two years ago he said he wanted my hookup "give me your hook up give me your hookup" I honestly still I'm not sure what that meant at the time I had a Benchmade 140 nimravus fixed blade on the sheath was unbuttoned when he walked up but I think possum made him nervous I just kept saying calm down and then I just walked away knife never came out but my hand never left it

  • @kainewootan167

    Stupid question but is the base of the handle supposed to be a big jiggly? I got the red serrated one and the handle send pretty jiggly.

    • @Lugermonger35
      @Lugermonger35  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kaine Wootan yes a bit of movement is normal there's only one connection point between the scales and blade so the back end of the knife does flap around a bit it is important it does not make contact with the blade in the closed position but otherwise it's good

      Lugermonger Oh alright, that makes sense, thanks for the info and love the videos!

      Kaine Wootan for sure
      what do you think of it

    • @kainewootan167

      Lugermonger absolutely love the simplicity of the design; it's compact, sharp, and convenient. I bought the cmp-s30v model but the grade reads ts-40cp(dunno if that's a different steel or not).I actually love it more than my microtech and would recommend to anyone looking for convince, Elegance and sturdyness.

    Have you ever had to use one of your knives in self-defense and if so, what was the result?

    • @Lugermonger35
      @Lugermonger35  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cade Peterson there was an incident when I was Young that I do know has some subconscious play on my fascination with knives but as far as being mugged attack self-defense no

      Mango Flavor not yet these things are expensive but a clone would never be as good

    • @Trollingkng23
      @Trollingkng23 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mango Flavor just because of the simple design you could probably make a CAD model replica and then 3D print it

    • @mountaindont34ify

      Because of the simple design I would think clones would be everywhere
