    I own a Paragon Phoenix. When you buy, be aware the action may be stiff. Practice opening and closing to loosen. Carefully assist the blade if too stiff. Use penetrating oil to hasten the process.Or are uncomfortable assisting the blade. Mine is extremely easy to operate now. Imo, keep lubrication oil on blade and action after it loosens.
    Edit: I use Hoppies no.9 penetrating oil and Hoppies no.9 lubrication oil. If you've never used Hoppies before, there is a distinct smell to it. You will either love or hate it, there is no in between. It works well and is the same recipe used since it's inception.

    Super cool knife.
    I just wish that there would be an additional hold-open at the bottom of the knife.
    The way it is set up right now, there's potential for the knife not closing properly if you put a n y pressure on the handle.

      @@ritaingstad8613 there is also the phoenix. Which is single edge more utilitarian. I have one of those. Very fun but more of a hard use knife

      I’d have to disagree with you on that. I’m an autistic industrial worker who uses his blades quite often and for hard jobs, this knife is quite tough and can take a beating!

      @@aspiechan420 I’m sure they can take a beating. But as I said they feel cheap and hard to deploy the blade. The handles move around blade out or in and don’t line up. The track used to deploy the blade feels rough, unpolished and unfinished. So not sure what you said changes my opinion

      @@aspiechan420 then QC isn’t doing their job at Asheville. I’m glade yours is good. I also know other customers have had this problem. The Paragon is a really neat knife, just some examples out there, it’s poorly executed

      @@macdud85 spray it down with some PB Blaster spray. It’ll surely help the knife deploy. I use PB Blaster for my knives as a lubricant and rust stopper.

      ​@rwe1 negative ghost rider. He has to flick his wrist to get it to come out. So something other than gravity is propelling it out. Not sure if this is technically a gravity or not but I don't consider it one. On the same note i Don't think it has to be OTF either.
