Imho...gravity knives are just a novelty item/fidget toy for adults. I'm always thinking of worst case scenario and will it function how I need it to in a life/death situation..like is it possible to unlock, break, fail in any way? All blades have their downside to a certain extent...but these gravity pieces are pretty, but just a kinda a usable toy to me. Thanks for showing Jared!💪😎👍
I had an urban camo full serrated phoenix, and gave it away to a friend. Stay away from the cerakoted paragons. Their tolerances seemed too tight for the added thickness of said coating. The knife was practically unusable until most of the coating had warn off in the applicable areas. Not to mention the final fit and finish just seemed janky to me. I understand most of that is because of the locking mechanism / general design of the knife. Had to be a reason it was almost $200 off on bladeHQ…🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ummm well if Think long and hard about it as in practicality and in all round would I actually like to have either one then after a long 3 seconds YES YES I would get damn sure no if buts or maybes . Both are definatly fun to play with but like you said locking is better and most are just as fast to deploy. My choice would be the Reate though just more fun. I have many regrets in my life, and two of them are not buying a GI paratrooper knife, and an HK91 rifle when I was stationed in Germany 40 years ago, when the dollar was really worth something. I wanted a P7 pistol too, but that would have cut way too deep into my bier budget, and THAT was never going to happen.

I love the design without the lock and I wanted the knife from the moment I laid my eyes on it. I’m not the biggest knife enthusiast , but when I first saw it I had have to have it. So I was wondering if there’s any chance I could purchase the older model you have or any of the older ones you have (especially Tonto bladed). As you’re probably aware they’re sold out pretty much everywhere and I don’t know if I will ever get a chance to get my hands on one so even if this is the longest of shots, I figured I’d reach out to all the possible options and see if there was any possible way, I could potentially purchase one off of you
Not sure what paratroopers your referring to but my father was in every jump in WWII and he carried a switchblade to cut himself out of trees. Nothing real fancy , similar to a dimestore Barlow with a quick button and a safety and spine lock.

My main concern is; will it work in a Zero G environment, or underwater? Serious consideration for SEAL-cum-Astronauts. A new genre is on the horizon with this knife - Tactical Gravity Weaponry. For the military individual in all of us. Weapons, Equipment, Training, Strategy, Plans, Operations, and Training. W.E.T S.P.O.T., for the win.
Where I have not tested this myself it is to my knowledge that, under the laws of physics as long as you apply a force on an object it will act accordingly to that force even in space that should hold true. Simply put yes it should work in zero g environments as long as you swing the blade to open.
is cpm-3v steel as good as elmax? i just got mine today after looking for months but i could only find some on SMKW everything sold out there than 3V steel. im not gonna use it for much really just for my collection.

Bit of a weird question, but how sharp is your Warlock? I got a very similar one second hand, but I can't put a shaving edge on it no matter what I try. I even got a fixed angle jig, but it won't come close to my other knives in sharpness. I'm not sure if I got a lemon or the edge was burned or what, but it's driving me nuts since I really wanted to like it.
I HAVENT SHARPENED MINE, ITS NOT THE SHARPEST WITH THE FACTORY EDGE, IT WILL CUT PAPER BUT ITS NOT THE BEST, WHAT ANGLE ARE YOU SHARPENING IT AT, ITS A THICK GRIND SO YOU WILL NEED TO PUT A LOW ANGLE ON IT
Had my hands one for a day the top of the handle is thick and thins out. So like you get more grip on your pointer finger and there's a while bunch of jimping at the top. Feels terrible if you try any other grip though.
It's not horrible because it's thick so even your pinky gets decent leverage, even though it's a tapering handle which I usually don't like because it's thick it makes it workout well considering
The reate page isn't working. That figures being the only legal Canadian otf knife. I really want to get one because I've never had any of the new steels. D2 is what I usually go for. Is there any elmax knives you can recommend that are affordable.
I just bought one of the Exo knives not too long ago. (The smkw exclusives) and within a month it has formed rust on the blade. Do you have any recommendations on how to get rid and prevent rust?
Yes absolutely, you get use 3 in 1 oil which is very affordable, it helps Remove, prevent, and clean. Or you can get knife shield from kpl. You can use my Amazon link in the description or click on the kpl link and search for it. Keeping your blade oiled every couple months is important

Typically gravity knives are double edged, and require a full covering of the blade. Folders are usually not considered gravity knives, but the warlock is folding double edge knife too so i think its up to the maker.
That's very true, and I do think that some places could call it that, but it's not labeled as one and since it has an actual lock open and closed its difficult, personally I would say yes but for legal reasons I would say no

Bradford G necker is the cheapest ElMax I have ($80/$90). It's A small fixed blade though ✌🏻
