As a Arsenal fan, the moment I saw him play against us earlier in the season I knew he was a quality signing gave Gabriel something to think about , physically his hold up and link up play is exceptional I would say better than Haaland in that respect. Score all kinds of goals , strong and has a very deceptive pace and acceleration . Funniest thing about him now is hes still not really getting proper service (feeding off absolute scraps and still scoring goals not to mention he scored goals in the CL)from his wide players, united just need someone that can cross and play him in more and he will cook. Also his mentality and resilience (given the negative feedback /criticism from fans and pundits before xmas was so ridiculous but he dealt with that so well ,other players would of cracked ) his mentality is of at an elite level very comparable to Rooney's at the same age . Kinda jealous as we dont have a striker .

It’s brilliant to read a post from an opposition fan who has clearly watched him. I actually think that if he was playing for Arsenal they would win the league. Good luck in stopping Citeh and the scousers anyway 👍

Arsenal will get Toney and win with Toney I reckon! Arsenal are good enough anyway without a striker, so with Toney there to get those extra goals needed 100% they could win it easy! Would love the arsenal/man united rivalry to return. (Meaning we're both fighting for title)

His mental resilience is his best attribute. He hasn't come out and addressed the abuse, he just spoke about believing in his own ability and how he'd eventually find the first goal domestically. When he did, he really took off. I wish him a speedy and full recovery 🙏🏿❤🔴

Some player Hojlund. The difference between him and Jackson is if you watch Hojlund you can see the quality, Chelsea fans watch Jackson and say he's not a striker. Was disappointing to see some United fans writing Hojlund off though, need to stop blindly following the media narrative, they don't want good people at the club

If they weren't clubs aiming for the top 4. Otherwise they would be saying he's not ready and a senior striker is needed. Could even extend that to top 6 clubs. It just took time for the forward line to gel and I would blame Rashford for most of that, he's the senior man in the front 3 and he's been awful this season (at least for his wages and what we know he's capable of)

The only stick to beat him with is the little injuries he’s picking up but hopefully will help when get a second striker in. If can’t see the clear talent he is then you and got a clue some of these main stream media outlets are embarrassing with their narratives.

The fact people were writing off a 20 year old (who already scored 5 goals in the Champions League) with all the evidence in front of their eyes with the movement and abilities he was was showing, and lack of chances created for him, is pretty farking hilarious in retrospect. I'm convinced some people just want to create drama and don't even bother watching matches.

I think this video sums it up well honestly. Højlund had his feeling for UDT mess with his head. I mean the chances he has missed are way easier than some of his recent goals are

i never expected a 30-40 goal debut season from him when we signed i just wanted around a 15 goals which would have been enough to put my trust into his name, he already proved himself in the champions league and now he is firing shots in the prem too
he is already on 13 goals and he can touch 20 if united goes deep in fa cup and he plays half of march and complete april and may he has done more than enough i would have expected from a 20-21 year old who was playing in austrian bundesliga in 2022

The pain on Shearer's face at 6:10 after he says "good for him" takes me back. Fergie was in for him and he dared reject us, leading to the signing of Yorke and the madness he did in 1999. 20 goals, 20 assist, if only he wasn't from Tobago and partied away the rest of his career. Rio is right, he is still celebrating in a bar to this day after the treble 😂 To many men in TnT such we can drink an entire bottle in a day and stay awake partying like is Carnival on zero sleep for five days straight 😂

If u actually analyse him even when he wasn't scoring he was still making the right runs it's just that he's got team mates that are far too greedy & selfish. He's still not getting as many chances into him although it's gradually improving. We've definitely got an absolute gem in Hojlund. He's already proved he can score all kinds of goals, he's got an amazing work rate never gives up a real team player. A few of his team mates could learn a thing or two off him

Funny thing is our own fans criticized him, I remember whilst I berated players like Bruno, Rashford and Garnacho for being selfish my buddies argued that Harry Kane would’ve fitted the bill.
Even at Atlanta he pretty much relied on his pace, goal poacher exploits , showing them poacher instincts for Denmark.
It’s unfortunate he’s played so many games without adequate rest, because the physical aspect of the premier league is hard on the body, SAF had an array of forwards to pick from, in contrast Rashford is nowhere near the goal scorers who graced Old Trafford under SAF.

Don't think United players were use to playing without a natural striker . They're just selfish and have been allowed become one dimensional.
Fergie, told his players that RVP would win them the league. He's making runs and showing good movement. Yet, no one is giving him the ball.
From now If you don't give him the ball you wont play!
    Simple solution.
Team was player for themsleves and their personal mates.
The young lad has shown brilliant resilience.

What this narrative ignores is that the critique against Manchester United's striker is warranted, not because Højlund isn't a promising player, we all know he is. The critique is mostly about the club having 0 strikers and signing only an unproven kid, who though promising, can't deliver, and can't be expected to deliver what is needed for the team, a consistent world class performance in his first season. He can't be a high impact strong role model for the attacking mindset of the team. He just could not be that player, considering the experience he had under his belt when he was signed. He was not the needed striker at the time. It was a recklessly risky move from the club. He would have been a great signing if we already had Harry Kane in our team, but needed a prospect and step-in striker to develop. Basically in his first season he got hired for an impossible job. It's bad for the player and the club, but on the positive side of things, it can only get better from here.
