Sam, I really like these shorter journalistic pieces you write. You ask the right questions and present them in a well-balanced, and informed way citing your sources. Keep up the good work. This is how sports journalism is supposed to be. You remind me of the well-respected journalists from the 80's and 90's.
@@lancerevo9747 same here. We’ll have a good midfield collection of Ugarte, Mainoo, Fernandes, Gore and maybe Eriksen since he is doing great for Denmark. Casemiro out
Steinberg tried and got cooked left and right. They will be a lot more careful next time. It's not like the old days. We won't allow any unnecessary criticisms from the PRESS. He is our future.
What impressed me was his guile in his assist in the Belgium game, he was effectively going away from goal therefore the three Belgium players around him thought he was going to pass back but instead he quickly swivelled and played the forward pass that led to the goal.
Oh, absolutely, the media will definitely give Kobbie Mainoo the time he needs to develop. After all, they're famous for their gentle and supportive coverage of young athletes. With Paul Scholes declaring he's better than he was at the same age, I'm sure there won't be any sky-high expectations or relentless scrutiny at all.
Standout talent. He absolutely dominated the 1st half of the Euro semis against Netherlands. This guy's box-to-box style reminds of that superstar Clarence Seedorf ..... and if he lives up to (close) to Seedorf's quality, he will go down as one of the all time greats. Fantastic to have young talent like Mainoo, Bellingham, Saka and of course the incredible Lamal on the pitch for the Euro final.
Kobbie Mainoo has already announced himself on the global stage and had just concluded what is already a Personal Best campaign for himself at EURO 2024 in Berlin. None other than Clarence Seedorf waxed lyrical about him before the tournament began. Nuff said! KM should become a bonafide monster next season for us at United!
Watched Scholes play at 19 20 and you could already see that he seemed to have that extra split second WC players have, i haven't seen Kobbie live yet but he seems to have that split second attribute
There are aspects of Maino that are reminiscent of Scoles, his vision, the way he shields the ball and seams to be unhurried. As yet he doesn’t have Scoles’ rocket shot though.
Adnan Januzaj had the same story. Composure and football talent at a incredibly young age. The problem is that Januzaj stopped developing and fell off most likely because of huge social pressure to perform and being unable to cope with it. Hope the story with Mainoo and Garnacho is different. They need time to properly develop without the media storm other talents had. Love our young players currently and they look like they have incredibly high ceilings for talent and skill, lets just hope the development continues and they can help United to get back to winning ways
Kobbie is an unbelievable talent, and I hope will be a lynch pin in our midfield for the future. However, I worry that the British media are doing what they always do - heaping too much pressure on a player, too soon. I hope it doesn't turn out that way.
The third midfielder place is up for grabs. It looks like Southgate will start TAA there. But Wharton, Gallagher and Mainoo can each offer something different.
Kobbie is Zidane. Now, that's some boots to fill, but he has all the attributes ZZ did, especially his ability to always be in space. Now, will he become as good as the great man? That's up to him, but the sky is the limit. I haven't been this excited about a young player, since, well, Paul Scholes.
Fact that Scholes that many consider the best midfielder of his generation classes Mainoo a far better player than he was at Mainoo's age speaks volumes of just how good Mainoo is. Fact he's still only 19 is frightening. We really have a truly special talent on our hands. No wonder rival clubs slate Mainoo it's down to pure jealousy
Astronomical rise for a player some of us picked out over a year ago. INeOS should be building a midfield around him. Pick someone up that will run all day and do the dirty work and another 10 to compete with Bruno. Then let this kid run the show for the next decade.
The MOST difficult thing to do as a top footballer is to MAINTAIN at the TOP. SCHOLES did it. The question is, Will, or can, Kobbie do what Scholes did? I love this Kobbie and hopefully he will shine till the end of his career. But, know this fact,,, Scholes is ONE of the GREATEST midfield EVER. Not many people can be that.
Kobbie is a great player. But can he go on to have the longevity of career, the development and achievements that Paul Scholes had, remains to be seen. I sincerely hope he goes on to achieve and exceeds what Paul Scholes had done for United.
It is the Ghanaian blood! I can bet his father instructed him to play like one of many great midfielders of that country. In Ghana, if you can't hold the ball, you are not considered a good footballer. Some compare his play with Sulley Muntari. I am in a quandary now: Nicole Williams or Mainoo. Naturally, I prefer England. Sometimes, the colonial ties are hard to let go, but Nicole Williams is just another amazing player.
@@Culturelens a dominant team always built around some great player. Even United team that dominated PL for years built around great players. Cantona, Nistelrooy, Ronaldo, and Rooney.
Mainoo is a world class player in a crap United side but Scholes was also a world class player but in a great United side. The sequel of Man United’s glory days are coming soon. Feast your eyes.
Mainoos' pass completion rate is insane; plus, he rarely takes the easy option of a backwards pass. If anything, Kane and Bellingham wasted so many great passes he hit to them.
Really looking forward to seeing Kobbie at Euro 2024 on the international stage. ❤

He’s killing it
He certainly is the future of man uniteds midfield.
mainoo plays like a number 11
Just got the new Man United 2024/25 home shirt. Should I get Mainoo on the back or Garnacho 7?
The press are going to hound him....Kobie is a gem

@@MrMoneyLongI heard he was doing that! Just pathetic by a very pathetic little man
Mainoo is a gem generational talent.Scholesy is a legend of a different era you can’t compare the two…19yr old scoles in this era would be insane.

I can't help but be giddy for his future. Biggest talent we've seen in our midfield in years

As Sheldon would say "Sarcasm?"😂
Well said, I had the same thoughts but you expressed them very well.
Maino's amazing, has a great future ahead, his composure with the ball is top notch.
His very talented. Hopefully he stays injury free and continues his great form. Hopefully he stays with United. Great video Sam
Kids unbelievably talented! :)
so true, will perform in the new home kit I just got I hope
Can’t teach what Kobbie does. Got the lot. Natural born talent. So composed , one and two touch players. A class act. Steps up at every level.

Hope he starts a few games this Euros. Would love to see his impact on the international stage.
And lo and behold he did exactly that at the euros.
Loving the format of these videos Sam. Nice one. Congrats to you and your production team.
He's starting in the final tomorrow...I've got a feeling he's going to score!
A true legend in the making

MASTERPIECE 🔴
These videos are soooo good! Keep them coming Sam!!
Also Mainoo has performed consistently in a United team that struggled this season. That makes Mainoo's performances all the more outstanding.
You must be fuckin' joking .... in most united games you don't even notice him!
The had record home defeats last season ffs !
Great vid mate keep them coming great content 👍🤙
Protect Kobbie at all costs!
Enjoyed this sam,quality man,well done 👍
This type of united content is what you do better than anyone Sam. Good stuff!!
Predicted his euro success.. nice video. Will age well.
Nobody is better than Scholes and never will be.
Love these videos 👏
The true heir to Paul Scholes. Kobbie Mainoo is the truth and we must build a squad around him to challenge for the Premier League title.
The lad has a long way to go!!
There are aspects of Maino that are reminiscent of Scoles, his vision, the way he shields the ball and seams to be unhurried. As yet he doesn’t have Scoles’ rocket shot though.
Nor Scholes' greatest strength, his passing ability
Great video with great editing 🤌
If he can play like scholes and have a penchant for scoring like gerrard, england could have a very fierce player on their hands.
What's more important is the obvious friendship between Mainoo, Garnacho and Diallo. Fergie had his fledglings what has ETH got ?
Brilliant video mate! ❤
Great presentation 🤙🇪🇸
Beautiful analysis....
Love your videos champ
Mainoo, Garnacho and Amad are going to cook in the upcoming season.
Great video sam!!
Exciting innit 🤩
He's going to be a worldie!!
Kobbie is like tha EA sport Career mode i hope he stay in shape forget all this crutcs and praise. I hope i hope he keep parfome and sharp is game
Even if he doesn't get any better than this for the next 10-15 years, he will still be considered one the best midfielders of United and England.

He’s like someone who’s been here before!🇮🇪
I think if we can get a great 6 to play a little behind him, it’ll allow Kobbie to progress further forward, where I personally think he plays best
Kobbie is an unbelievable talent, and I hope will be a lynch pin in our midfield for the future.
However, I worry that the British media are doing what they always do - heaping too much pressure on a player, too soon.

I hope United can hold him for many years, because big clubs are gonna be after him.😢

For me, he's been England's best player in the tournment
He reminded me of a young Ronaldo last night. Hes was exceptional.
The best midder🎉
Calling it First box to box midfielder to win a ballon dor ever

Comparison kills players. Kobbie is the best Kobbie. He does not need extra pressure, neither does Garnacho need the CR pressure.

Well, this video was bordering on prescient, lol. Hopefully he does just as well against Rodri and Spain in the final tomorrow.
Guess what he is now a crucial player for the final and I think they gon win
Ps. He's 1 of our own!
United should build a team around him. Sign a good DM for starter.
These are the kind of mentality that we should get rid of. why should we build the team around him or anyone? The team should be free flowing

I dont thing we will see player like scholes in our generation again , mainoo is good but scholes is a teacher
If he could develop a bit of speed that would be great
Someone forgot who the England manager is LOL
Kobbie Mainoo saved Ten Hag job at Man Utd
He is closer to seedorf. Bar the suspicious hulk strength that he had.
all thanks to TEN HAG
Welcome to the whos best between Mainoo, Palmer and Foden. Despite all 2 of the 3 being 10s and mainoo being a box 2 box 6.
I think Scholsey has a point. Mainoo can tackle but Scholes couldn't tackle to save his life.
Watching this after the group stages makes me sad that Kobbie hasn’t even started a single game. It is nothing but RIDICULOUS
No, he is not! Scholes is the better player. Mainoo is being overhyped by the media. His displays have been ok in the euros nothing more.
He was the one of the best performer along with Saka. Shame he didnt get much of the ball in the final due to poor passing
Never knew they did a player of the tournamemt for the FA Cup. Shame he might now be coming off the bench when Southgate decides to start with Trent.
He’s going to be a Man Utd and England great.
Kobbie is a fine player, but he's not the finished player, he has a lot to learn under EtH
I think Scholesy is forgetting how good he was. There is no comparison....yet.
Until Mainoo adds passing to his game, and I believe he will, there's no point in comparing.
