Lovely! John Eliot Gardiner is always delightful and I am so impressed with this orchestra, especially the players of those terrifying valveless horns! Bravo!!!!
@@vsevsad9376 Hi. I love Sir John Eliot Gardiner. I only listen to music so I'm not interested in his character in general. Everyone says that his new ensemble is a tantrum. I don't think it's entirely true but there may be some feeling of revenge. Isn't J.E. Gardiner already very old? Isn't he already a millionaire? What do you think?
@@KrzysztofPenderecki6171 Hi. No matter how old or rich, JEG is a great conductor. Like, nothing's wrong with him in this video from January 2023. The performance is just mesmerizing. JEG's been doing guest conducting these days (in fact, 2night is Beethoven 9 in Bologna with Orchestra Mozart), so it means orchestras find him quite to their taste, doesn't it? Then, the musicians didn't dump him. Nobody asked their opinion. They were waiting for JEG to come back this new season. He has been in trouble with board of directors that didn't let him do it. Looks like it's money, power, sponsors, shareholders and stuff, not any moral issues or music. At least it is known that the principals you see here are joining him in the new band. And the program of Bach/Charpentier was announced a few months ago with JEG conducting. It's all on the internet, eg Slipped Disk. No clue who are these 'everybody' telling you that JEG's setting up revenge. Can they even read?

What an amazing performance, and the sound quality was excellent. IMHO the Linz has the best final movement of any Mozart symphony.
There's nothing more soothing than taking a walk after dinner and listening to any of the Andante movements from Mozart's symphonies
1st movement

2nd movement
