    Are you kidding? These are gigantic. Haha! 1236 square feet? HUGE. This was the standard size for a family of 4 when we were young.

      Isn’t it crazy how we all grew up small and now are getting back to that? You’re so right though. We don’t need much space really. I’m happy that small is now cool! Thanks for watching!

      Our family of 4 lived in 900 sf quite comfortably. Who needs these table tennis size kitchen islands? The showers in some of these new model homes are car washes.😂 Throw in a cleaning lady and you have me sold.

    These homes, from the smallest to the largest, are just so beautiful. Their color palettes are elegant and tranquil. The staging is great. They all have great storage. The amount of light is fantastic! Too bad that, with the pricing and current interest rates, most of the working class and so many retirees are left out. It is what it is, I suppose.
    I'm grateful that I got my north central corridor 863 sq. ft. (exterior measurements) 1975 two-bedroom, perpetually dark, lacking-in-storage, condo with a 3% interest rate and a hefty downpayment from a previous home's profit. I was really blessed, and I do love the character of the older homes in my area - but there's nothing like the feel and even the smell of a new-construction home, and these are really great.

      I’m happy that you enjoyed seeing these homes. And very thankful that you’ve got a nice and affordable place to live now. That 3% mortgage is a golden egg! With that deal you can stay there for many years and enjoy your life! Thanks for your comment and for watching my channel!

      @@Southwest55Plus You're very welcome! I consider myself blessed every day. With all of the ups and downs I've had, I am grateful to have been able to retire and have a nice little place and a mortgage payment that is about 25% of what many of my neighbors have even in my complex. And I absolutely LOVE the North Central Corridor. Never in a million years did I ever believe that I could live in this area until I found myself here, LOL! But those Robson community homes sure are beautiful, aren't they? Well, have a great day! No need to reply. I understand you've got work to do!

    • @Southwest55Plus
      @Southwest55Plus  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I wish we could have some small condo for singles like myself. Once you get under 1000 sq feet they would have to be tiny homes. Regular builders do not build those anywhere that I'm aware of. I think we will see some sort of small product in the future though. More like a co-op kind of thing. Tiny living with shared cooking, living and outdoor spaces would be great for many people. Thanks for watching my channel!

    I live in a 690 square-foot house. So to me that is definitely. Not small.

  • @noneya4820
    @noneya4820 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    This is an observation for the thoughtless developers: unless you’re using high quality drywall and windows, anytime you place a “sleeping” area as the main room facing a trafficked street (especially a corner as seen) you should put smaller windows atop for natural daylight only. I cannot imagine having guest stay and feel comfortable knowing they are going to be on a resting clock according to the exterior traffic. This is not a well thought out floor plan.

    • @Southwest55Plus
      @Southwest55Plus  15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I'm not sure what traffic you are referring to. None of these homes will be on busy streets. There might be an occasional car that drives by but the biggest traffic might be people walking in the neighborhood. Our neighborhoods are very quiet so it is doubtful that exterior traffic will awaken anyone.

    • @noneya4820
      @noneya4820 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ I am a light sleeper, I do not want hear any traffic, so if they are using Pella Triple pane windows and 5/8” drywall inside/out with rockwool insulation: then I’ll stand corrected and belay my last. Developers should never consider sleeping quarters at the front of a house.

    1236 sq feet is more than acceptable. I presently live in a little over 1700 sq feet and it is simply too large for one person to rattle around in.
    We are old! We do not have the energy, nor the inclination to clean a big house with many rooms. I would welcome 1236 sq feet - gladly.

    • @Southwest55Plus
      @Southwest55Plus  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

  • @littlehouselife

    This is a great size for a couple, but it’s not small! A guest suite? A colossal sofa? This might require upsizing instead of downsizing.

    • @Southwest55Plus
      @Southwest55Plus  หลายเดือนก่อน

      1236 square feet is a smaller home for most retirees who are downsizing. They're coming from more than twice that size most of the time. All of these homes have a guest space but the den is optional. Thanks for watching!

    • @Southwest55Plus
      @Southwest55Plus  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think super small homes are great for those that want them. 600 sq ft isn't workable for many. I don't think we are spoiled at all. If you want more space you can have it. I work hard so I don't feel bad having a slightly larger home. 1700 square feet is certainly not a McMansion by any stretch. Do you live in 600 sf? It can work but would be hard for me right now.

      HOA fees in Robson Ranch are only $268 per month. That includes all of your amenities/activities for the most part. Definitely a good value for country club level amenities. The Land Leases at mobile parks are getting near $1000 a month and you'll never own the land. Scary idea! Thanks for watching my channel!!
