I do believe men (and equally women) have an obligation to support their children, but I do not believe that support can only be in the form of money.
A man should have an absolute choice and the right of supporting his child by simply being a dad to them, irrespective of whether he has separated from the mom. Simply put, if a man has physical custody of his child for more than 50% of the time, as a matter of right and his choice, then he should be paying no child support cash, indeed above 50% the mother should be paying child support.

@@GeeTrieste That does sound like equality, except reality doesn't usually shake out that well. What if a kid has a chronic illness? Who takes off work to get the kid to the doctor? What if Dad just refuses? What if Dad refuses to do ANY parenting tasks during his 50% of the time? I've been around long enough to see that money and quality of life aren't the same thing. Less rules tend to be better, because life usually doesn't fit with a one size fits all payment arrangement.

The following story is not mine, but a true story none the less. I ran across this story on the internet as told by “ACK Preacher”.
I thought it was worth sharing in hopes of helping some of you from having to endure what this poor man did.
      ACK Preacher,
I will issue a further note of caution -- When you meet women after college there are no checks and balances, you are essentially strangers with no common connections, you really have no idea of their history or back story -- and believe me her friends and family aren’t going to tip you off -- Add to this cell phones, social media, dating apps and this woman can tell you she is at home with the flu when she is actually in China with some other guy -- You have no clue what these people are up to -- I’ve been reasonably successful with women in my life, I consider myself to be intelligent and not very naive, I actually have a master’s degree in clinical counseling. Well long story short -- I met a girl on match, she presented (herself) as this church going Christian goody two shoes, non-drinking, nonsmoker, Polly puritan, even dressed very conservatively -- Well turns out she had another man who lived out of the country -- She would tell me she was visiting her mother or her friend (she used her boyfriend’s sisters name to keep the story straight) -- This went on for over 18 months -- I discovered the pictures of her fun times overseas and it was like a different person, thong bikinis, sexy dresses the works (just one big party) -- Even looking back I cannot say she sent red flags up the pole -- She was an expert liar and manipulator -- When she was caught I assure you the CIA with waterboarding couldn’t get a confession out of her -- probably sociopathic -- So be very careful and take the rose colored glasses off -- be humble and don’t think you are too smart to be conned --

That's a huge problem I see. I'm all for women to be treated fairly and as equal to men in terms of value as human beings, but when it comes to positions of power/authority/respect that comes with being of good character and taking responsibility for your life. As I believe Jordan Peterson mentioned, we talk about rights rights rights, but you can't have rights without responsibility. Most women are very poor at taking responsibility for their actions, they want the power but the price that comes with it. If we're going to give treat women the same as men, they should also be punished the same and held accountable for the same as well (not currently the case, women have advantage in court and family courts, often time getting lesser punishments, and often time being favored when it comes to divorce laws and who gets to parent the children (even if she is clearly off her rocker compared to the guy)

Anyone else see the irony that a pregnant woman has no legal responsibility to protect the unborn child and her own bodily rights come first before the unborn child. But When the child is born the woman is still not expected to have any responsibility for that childs care and all that responsibility is legally placed on the supposed father? But then if things between the 2 parents go south the woman now has all the right to not just take the child, but bar the man from contact with the child and still have them pay for the child by law. How is this the case when the woman has never had any legal responsibility to take care of that child in the first place?

    • @rachelrasmussen1101
      @rachelrasmussen1101 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

What are you talking about? None of this is true. Of course a mother is legally obligated to take care of a child after it is born. Of course that means financially. And orphanages? What are you even talking about? A woman can't give a baby up for adoption without the consent of the father. Plenty of planned adoptions have fallen through when dad came into the picture. Now if dad never shows up, his abandonment is assumed (which is fair). So the adoption is still mutual- by both parents. Mom can't give a baby away without dad abandoning it or agreeing to surrender rights. If either parent wants to keep the baby, the adoption doesn't happen. Now, if mom wants to keep it and dad doesn't, she can demand child support. If dad wants to keep it and mom doesn't, dad CAN demand child support from mom. He legally absolutely has that right. And WHOEVER has custody of the child BY LAW must provide the necessities of life for that child.
As for the abortion argument? Now I personally believe abortion is murder, so I want to agree with you, but of course, legally this is considered a health issue and not a custody issue. They aren't comparable. I think bodily autonomy should be a societal virtue. No forced sterilization. No forced vaccinations. No forced pregnancies.

Hopefully you can continue your relationship where you left off and, by just being dad will convince your child of your dedication and love by just carrying on as normal. No fighting, no arguing. 2 things we should remember.
      1) If all men went on strike for one week, civilization would be set back about 50 years. It would take a while to recover. Think of oil riggers, long haul drivers, manufacturing. If women tried this stunt, there would be fewer nurses and receptionists for one week. Plus kids would get a week off to party with their moms. I can live with that,
      2) If there is a bank run which kills a country, the world will have a seizure. This is due to the paper fiat money needed to fuel warfare/welfare states. Taxes is how the govt steals your income. Inflation is how they steal your savings. But they didn't realize they gave us a nuclear option. 10% of the world coordinates a bank run and boom! It's over. Anyone(man or woman) will need to produce in order to consume.
When things are good, men get screwed. That is what's happening. But when times are bad, we take the hit and then have it good for a little bit. Women are equal to men, until the ship starts sinking. Then it's women and children first. That unwritten contract is now confetti. Just go MGTOW and wait about 5 years. You'll be fine, trust me.

A man is a victim and people either ignore it or laugh. A woman is a victim and people scramble for a way to fix it. Often, those fixes are only towards women, so men are still ignored in these fixes unless they shoehorn themselves into the solutions. Men dont have to see themselves as second class citizens, because they simply are second class citizens. Nobody cares about men without some ulterior motive except for a portion of men who havent been brainwashed or told to be benevolently sexist.

Many opponents of paternity fraud legislation claim that changing the laws isn't in the best interest of children. However, it should never be a sufficient legal argument that it is in the best interest of any child to perpetuate fraud. The child's best and only interest in paternity establishment lies in finding that child's biological fathers so they can establish a relationship. Children also need to know their genetic heritage for medical reasons. It is highly doubtful that children would feel it is in their best interest to get money from unrelated, innocent men. No one should use children as an excuse for paternity fraud.

My wife and I married after she had two kids.. and she was pregnant when we started dating...the oldest her mom was raising because my wife was 15 when she gave birth to him. we also had another child roughly 1 year after the third child was born. so four children... one not living at home with us.. we had a spat one day.. basically i caught her in a lie.. and confronted her about... we got into a arguement and i told her don't come home... she then rushed to the school pulled the kids out of the school early and moved in with her mother... we seperated for 2 years... her betrayal to me put me in a deep depression... I ended up having to move in with my parents because i had absolutely no motivation to leave the house... They only thing i tried to do on the regular was take the kids every other weekend. during this seperation.... I went to lawyer at the beheast of my father to fnd out what my right where when it came divorce and the kids.. it was at this meeting i learn a little thing that many do not know... If you provide support for any child.. regardless if you are the real father or not... the states and the governemnt will always see you as the father and you will be subjected to paying support for them no matter what. AKA should i divorce her I would be paying child support for 4 children 3 of which I didn't father and one that didn't even live with us... All because i provided support for her and the kids at one point time...we ended up reconciling our marriage but the damage has been done... I can't trust her... the kids are moved out know and we are more or less roommates now... I can't stand her sometimes but knowing how the support of children went I can't divorce her either.. cause the courts are so bais'd against men i'd end up paying alimony even tho I paid to further her education so she could provide equal finances. But i know i'll end up payng alimony because the sytem is rigged against men. so I live with a woman who i am married too but i don't actually act like i'm married too... we have not been intimate for years... togather 20 years married 18 years... been over 10 years since we shared out bodies with each other. I suffer ED for this aswell.. it has been since that arguement and me getting depressed since i had had a erection. she totally destroyed me...and I cant do anything about it really.. I'm screwed either way I go. let this be a warning to all men... women in general don't really care about you as a person...they will and can destroy you without guilt.

Should every baby born be tested as it leaves the hospital with the parents, if only to make certain the baby wasn't mixed up at the hospital? This would protect the hospital against potential lawsuits should a mix up occur and at the same time establish genetic certainty for the parents, especially the fathers.

    • @WomenAgainstPaternityFraud
      @WomenAgainstPaternityFraud  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

States should mandate in-hospital DNA testing for all newborns and should prohibit paternity establishments unless and until confirmed by DNA. Beware of in-hospital paternity acknowledgments! Where men come to the hospital after their girlfriend/significant other gives birth solely because they are led to believe that the baby is theirs. They are proud, excited, trusting, and will sign the paternity acknowledgment form without first demanding a confirmation DNA test. From that moment on...actual paternity becomes irrelevant, and the paternity fraud victim is trapped.

    • @aivideos322
      @aivideos322 4 ปีที่แล้ว

I think most places do tests for all babies, but the problem is that test information is the MOTHERS private property and they can not disclose the information and the man can not force to see it. Doctors/nurses know and give the information to the mother only.

Brett Halvorson to say that women working on paternity fraud reform are only doing so because it affects them personally and financially is not accurate. One of the Founders of Women Against Paternity Fraud has been working on this issue for 25 years and she is not personally affected by this issue at all and the other Founder fought the state of CA to get her husband out of paying child support for a child he didn't father. She worked for 8 years to change the policies in CA and during that time she certainly didn't benefit financially from doing so. We are an all-volunteer organization composed of both men and women dedicated to educating the public, media, and policymakers on the issue of paternity fraud to spark legislative changes. We have Advisory Members, interns, and volunteers who are both men and women who are not personally affected by this issue and who generously donate their time to this cause.

Women complain sitting in a chair, made by men, in factories built and run by men. They use a computer invented and programmed by men, built in a factory by men, using electricity discovered by men, transported on a national grid of power lines that were planned and engineered, maintained and made by men, using electricity generated using methods invented by men, in power stations built by and run by men.
They use the Internet, which uses protocols invented by men, transmitted over cables laid by men, in an international network invented, planned, and made by men. They are fuelled by food that was the result of farms and agriculture planned and created by men, delivered to them by global food networks and transport systems invented and built by men. They live in houses that were invented, planned and built by men, kept warm by technologies invented and built by men, in cities with roads, bridges shops and other infrastructure planned and built by men.
They drink clean water piped into their houses by a national network planned and built by men, from reservoirs and treatment plants that were planned, built and run by men. They are protected by laws invented by men, and enforced by men who risk their lives every day to protect citizens and protect their country.
Women enjoy the benefits of everything men discovered, invented, created and built, and are treated equally (by law) and allowed to do anything they wish in the society men created, even if lives are put at risk by allowing them to (e.g. police/fire services). And yet there are women who are so privileged and devoid of hardship that they spend their time complaining that all of this is not enough for them, that men should be ashamed, that men have too much in this society that they made, and that men need to give even more to women. And men agree to it, because they always think there's a chance of getting some pussy.
Take away everything that men have done, and women would be sitting in the rain without anything to eat until a man comes and offers them shelter and food and security because he thinks he might get some action out of it.

I think the most concerning thing is that across the board is is being made explicitly clear that our courts do not intend to hold women accountable for paternity fraud. The message has been received and it is now open season for those with the malice to do it. This should be a criminal charge, and it should supersede any ridiculous family court opinions.

Need a law where DNA tests are performed on every birth.

  • @davidhobson8284
    @davidhobson8284 4 ปีที่แล้ว

The proposed Federal law should look something like this:
No father's name shall be placed on Live Birth Certificates WITHOUT DNA testing to prove Paternity.
No Voluntary AOP (Acknowledgement of Paternity) Forms shall be allowed by any State.
    Mothers who are:
    1. Married DO NOT have the right to refuse DNA testing.
    2. Unmarried but name a father either in a Child Support case or by applying for any SNAP/WIC/ Welfare/Medicaid or any State benefits shall not have the right to refuse a DNA test to prove paternity PRIOR to receiving any benefits from State, Local, or Federal resources or from the putative father.
    a. In 1 and 2 above Mothers who REFUSE to submit said child to DNA testing FOREVER lose the right to submit any case before any court for child support of said child or apply for any Federal/State programs mention above in 1 for said child UNTIL such time as the BIOLOGICAL Father has been identified by DNA Test at the Mothers cost solely.
    3. If married but the spouse is proven by DNA testing to NOT be the biological father he SHALL NOT ever be subject to providing any support for the child unless he voluntarily LEGALLY adopts said child. This shall also serve in ALL States as a Fault Based reason for Divorce where NO Alimony/Maintenance shall be awarded.
    4. For children born prior to the effective date of this Act:
    In divorce cases:
    1. DNA testing SHALL BE performed on every child without fail to establish paternity for the subject of child support.
    2. In the cases that children that were born and the Husband is NOT the Biological Father unless Legally Adopted there shall be NO CHILD SUPPORT for those children awarded at any time. Additionally children who are NOT the biological child of said Husband that has his LEGAL Last Name shall have their last name LEGALLY changed to their mothers MAIDEN name by the COURT automatically and SHALL lose any rights of inheritance from the Husband.
Additionally in cases where the wife broke the sanctity of the Marriage and passed off her Illicit offspring as her Husbands biological children there will be NO Alimony/Maintenance awarded under ANY circumstances.
Regardless of who filed for divorce and why, these cases SHALL AUTOMATCALLY be changed into FAULT BASED Divorce where all debts are split 50%/50% and any fully owned property or accounts shall be split 75%/25% in favor of the Husband and any pensions/retirements held by the Husband SHALL NOT be subject to division and SHALL be considered his SOLE and SEPARATE property.
In case of Paternity being established without DNA testing PRIOR to this Act by any court OR Voluntary AOP:
    1. Men who are currently paying Child Support shall have the right to:
    A. Have a DNA test done to prove Paternity:
If Paternity is disproved by DNA Test Family courts SHALL:
Immediately stop Child Support payments, Garnishments, and back Child Support shall be dismissed in its entirety.
    B. If Child Support payer has been: Jailed, Charged with Felonies or any other Legalities connected to the Child Support case:
These shall be PERMANENTLY wiped clean from their record in ALL FEDERAL, STATE, COUNTY, MUNICIPAL, and LOCAL data bases.
    C. All monies that have been taken from Child Support Payer SHALL BE:
Returned within 30 days by the State agency enforcing and collecting Child Support orders within each State along with Statutory interest of 5% per Annum. These monies shall not be subject to any tax of any kind by Federal, State, Local, or Municipality Taxes.
    D. In the cases of where child support payments have been made but the payments have been stopped due to the child reaching Majority age if requested by the putative father a DNA test Shall BE administered by the court and if paternity is disproven regardless of how long ago the Child Support ended all of Part C. above shall apply. Adult Children in these cases SHALL NOT have the right to refuse testing.
    E. In C and D State Child Support agencies shall have the ability to recover such monies from the mother unless she can prove by DNA test who the Biological father is. In such cases the Mother shall STILL be Responsible for 50% of Monies to be recovered by the State.
    F. Additionally in cases where divorce has happened and a QDRO order is in place the Court SHALL AUTOMATICALLY vacate that judgement and this information will be sent to the retirement plan, the Social Security Administration and all claims by the Ex wife to his Social Security Benefits shall be revoked along with any Survivor Benefits by said children. IF Spousal Support/Maintenance is being paid it also shall be AUTOMATICALLY voided by the COURT.
States that refuse to follow this ACT:
Face immediate termination of ALL Title IV Act monies until they come into compliance with this ACT.
This act overrides the Bradley Amendment Act and Title IV Act parts that are in conflict with this ACT.
Family Court Judges who refuse to follow this ACT regardless of whether the State is in compliance with this ACT or not SHALL BE:
Subject to Arrest by Federal Officers and trial by the Federal Govt. If found guilty of subverting this ACT Shall be subject to:
Not less than 10 years in a Maximum Security Federal Prison in General Population only AND $100,000.00 fine

I don't think most women really understand what it's like to be a man and for a woman to do this to you. It's worse then a man raping a woman as, traumatic though it is, it's over quickly (although there may be lingering physiological damage, of course). Imagine not only being raped (violated on a deep emotional level) but having to pay your rapist for the next two decades for a child that isn't yours - that isn't even furthering your genetic survival. All of that time, effort, work, etc that you are forced to give to someone who did something both traumatizing to you and outright evil and, even worse, greatly deminshing your chances of ever having children of your own (most quality women aren't going to want to get involved with a man who has things like child support payments hanging over him). On top of that, society and the people in government not only support your rapist, but think of you as a deadbeat, lazy, irresponsible person for not wanting anything to do with your rapist or that child.
It might not be a perfect analogy but this is probably the closest description I can think of for what it's like to be a man and find out the woman you trusted and have invested huge amounts of time, money, effort, etc. into by providing her with a home and the things she wants has betrayed you in the worse way one person can betray another.

My husband was named legally by a paternity fraudster early in our relationship. We are in New Zealand, not USA.
We demanded DNA test which was delayed for a few months after the child's birth.
The mother posted public pictures naming my husband (then boyfriend),and he copped a lot of criticism and hate for 'abandoning ' his responsibility etc to her and the child.
We knew there was other possible fathers, and knew she had lied about due dates to pin it on my husband only.
DNA proved him not the father..
But in the meantime she had sworn in family court that he was the only possibility etc,and sucked in his parents who gave her items to help her live alone as single parent.
As far as we know..the other candidates were never notified to at least do DNA tests.
A couple of years later we were informed by her ex husband and another ex boyfriend, both whom lived with her and the child for a few months after the fact, one told us she said the DNA was faulty, that my husband was definitely the father .and the other guy told us that she said she didn't know whi the father was, that it was 1night stand, which was rubbish. The 3 men who had been sleeping with her during time of conception were frequent visitors of hers.my husband included.
This was 13yrs ago. It's just awful that the real biological family has missed out due to the lies and delusion.
We paid 3thousand for DNA and lawyers.
Worst part is she went on to have another 2 children and apparently lied about due dates with them as well and potentially multiple fathers in the mix, with 1 believing its him.
DNA should be done for every live birth regardless.
Obviously there's multiple reasons why mothers lie about paternity ,incest and rape being a fair reason in my opinion. But sealed birth records should include DNA and available to government departments should child support or medical needs ever come into the equation.
False claims like ours should be at least partially reimbursed by the mother for not naming all potential fathers. Its fair that my then boyfriend had to pay something because he had indeed used her for sex, as did the other men for some time.
I don't believe jail is helpful unless she's proven to be unfit dangerous mother also.

If I found out my father was not my biological father because my mother had been unfaithful, I would have cut contact with my mother for life.. The last words she would have heard from my lips would have been that I wouldn't even attend her funeral when that time came.. Such an act is unforgivable in my eyes.
Fortunately I am not worried about this, because I am physically very similar to my father, grandfather, uncle and that entire side of the family.

And I agree with the other comments that it is really pathetic that a man’s voice on this topic is always ignored and it only gets attention if the argument is fronted by women and based on the harm it does women and their children.
A man’s voice DOES matter, and the harm to the man is enough, by itself, to fight against paternity fraud.
Today’s rules are killing the possibility of there ever again being good relationships between men and women.
