    Thanks for this! Very helpful. 16yr old Lennox G60 that CB just failed, got a repair quote for a ridiculous co$$$$t. Ordered part off amazon and got it to work. Thanks for taking the time in posting and helping DIY folks like me.

    Thank you for doing this video, I have a similar furnace, but the same control board. You just helped me save like $400. You the man.

    Furnace tech wanted to replace the whole furnace. Found a board on eBay for $200 and it is back up and running. Thanks for posting this!

      What was the part number of the board?

      100870-03 was correct for my furnace.
      I think there are several compatible revisions of this board with slightly different numbers.

    Thank you for the video. DIP switches!! I would've totally missed that.

    ok. let me see if i have this right. so the inducer (exhaust blower?) motor wasn't powering up? so when that ist not powering up...the control board doesn't pass a safety check and won't allow ignition of the gas burner(s)?
    i may need help on mine...it is a
    1990 model Lennox. 80MGF3-75A-1. the repairman went to jail and disappeared in the middle of fixing, and i lost $205 and the old burned up board, ten years ago.
    im trying to find out if the 17W82 board is the right one, or at least something that will work.?

    Nice video. I have the same furnace and I want to install a power extender kit for a smart thermostat but I can't figure out how to open the lower access panel of the G60. Can you please provide some instruction on how to remove the lower access door? Thanks!

      The G60 has a few different door designs. Does your furnace have the metal tabs on the upper sides of blower door? If so the tabs swing upward and door should lift off. Sometimes those tabs are tight and a screwdriver or needlenose pliers can lift the tab. Those tabs lock the door in place. Let me know if this helps. Sometimes you might just have to lift the door in an upward direction if there is no tabs or screws to clear the upper lip to remove.

    Hacker what's the correct terminology of that board Is it the motherboard or control board? Peace brother

    • @billstools5244
      @billstools5244  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would be a control board. Or ignition control board since it also controls the hot surface ignitor, inducer and blower motor

      @@billstools5244 hacker thank you for answering my question cuz I heard other people call it the motherboard and I was confused. Peace brother

      It works like a motherboard would in a computer. Yet if you tried ordering at a supply house asking for the motherboard the counter guy would be lost

      @@jeffcoolhd It's only a "Mother Board" when it doesn't work. That's when you say, "You MUTHER you..."
