My man, don't let these foos keep you from helping people out. They judge too much. Your videos help a lot, but you can't please everyone, so keep on rocking. Your video helped me out tremendously because no one has shown how to test these particular boards/sensors with a thermistor.
I have a question, on my package unit heat pump I'm not getting 24 volts from the Yellow and Common wire going to the board, I have a new T-stat. What would cause this? My only guess is I have a broken wire.. What do you think?
Defrost thermostat (sensor) and defrost board upgraded since it appears when the sensor was installed on new board via molex plug? I did not catch how the sensor was tested as it was assumed it was sensing it was frozen!
I believe you ohm the sensor for proper resistance. Although if it is frozen and not defrosting but properly mounted it would be fair to surmise it is not sending the frozen coil.
Pretty sloppy video. Curtis, come on man! More detail is paramount. Approach all as if we can’t read your mind. I’m a big fan, you have done much better. I would have to edit much more thoroughly. You are too cool dude. Kudos for your work, enthusiasm, and professionalism always. You are one of the best 😊😊
What was that that you changed with the jumper on the defrost control board? Just replaced one on my unit at home and set it like the old one at 50. Didn't know what the numbers were so didn't want to change anything. Thanks
It's a pin to set how long it waits to go into defrost mode. There are usually several pins and the 50 is 50 minutes. Most likely Curtis set it for the shortest wait time.
3:51 specifically really irritated me. Holy shit, that’s the kind of safety precautions that land people in the hospital or in a coffin. 24 volts is NO JOKE.

So what terminals were you jumping with your screwdriver to make it go in to defrost..?
The “speedup” or “test” terminals
