Also, Sevendust is known as that band you don't want to play after because they bring so much energy to the stage that you don't want to be the ones that have to follow it up.
Sevendust is amazing they are more than nu metal and they music is unique and legendary take care guys
One of the best bands I have ever seen live. They put on one heck of a show. Love their song "Angels Son" they did for the lead singer of the band Snot who was a dear friend of their's. And also check out the song "Bender" which features Chino from Deftones. Such a great track.

Angel's Son is such a great song! That was the song they closed with when I saw them around 2002.
“Too Close To Hate” was the song that introduced me to this band. “Waffle” is what made me a fan for the last 20+ years. 7D is absolutely phenomenal.
He actually raps IMO on Too Close To Hate as well

Fun fact Morgan Rose their drummer does most of the backing vocals and screaming too
Morgan was also married to (now former)bassist for Coal Chamber for a while
Well, well, welcome to your next rabbit hole. Their first few albums are loaded with bangers. "Black," "Too Close to Hate," "Home," "Waffle," "Bender," "Enemy," "Face to Face," and so many more, including pretty much this whole album. They have a few ballads, too, but they are otherwise balls to the wall. Enjoy!

I saw Sevendust back in 05. They co-headlined with Mudvayne…talk about a show lol. But Sevendust were absolutely phenomenal.
And speaking of Mudvayne, y’all should do a reaction to one of their songs. How about their song Happy.

Sevendust is legit one of the best live acts. First saw them in 98 at Ozzfest and will still go see them whenever they come to the area
I live in Wisconsin and these guys used to come here every summer in the early 2000’s to a small town and I’ve seen them 6-7 times and they were great every show

These guys were the first metal band I saw live when I was about 15 and they were amazing. It was a small club show and they absolutely killed it. My brother and sister-in-law saw them this past week and they said they were still just as good as they were in the early 2000s.
Lajon used to be in a soul group and you can really hear how it shaped his singing. That’s part of what set him (and Sevendust as a whole) apart from the nu metal era.
And if you want to hear more of that soul, there’s Xmas Day, Angel’s Son, and plenty others.
Lajon is an amazing vocalist. I wish he had more recognition. As well as Sevendust as a whole. ❤️🔥🤘🏻

Sevendust guitarist (Clint Lowery)'s brother Corey Lowery was a member of Stuck Mojo!! When Clint left Sevendust in 2004, Clint and Corey started the band Dark New Day, check them out!!

Sevendust is definitely Nü Metal (and one of the best imo). You don't necessarily need to have rap to be Nü Metal. Many Nü Metal bands of that whole Era didn't rap at all, like Korn and Disturbed just to give you a few. Cuz Nü Metal is a mix of several different styles combined. Please, guys, react to "Denial" by Sevendust. It's a Nü Metal anthem! (arguably their best song) 🔥
I missed you all doing this one, yeah Sevendust is amazing and still putting out great stuff, their last 2 albums here in the 2020s were just as awesome as the old ones like this. You should check out Dirty, Everything, Karma, Not Original, Criminal, Superficial Drug, Decay, Live Again, Burn, they have so many great songs it's unbelievable! In fact the only, and I mean ONLY song I didn't like was Falcons on Top they did for their NFL team. 😅
My favorite song by them is Sleeper, because I'm a lyricist and I love the way the way the words wind around in some spots, it's genius.

Sevendust are timeless for me (or maybe it was that era). They ALWAYS go hard. Pretty much every song makes me headbang. I can't help it lol. Their new song, Fence, goes hard too, and dope video to go with it.
But again, PLEASE PLEASE PRETTY PLEAEE react to some Blindspott. They're home country heroes from here in NZ. Hardly anyone's reacted to them. They go freakin hard. You guys will love them. S.U.I.T, Mind Dependancy, Nil By Mouth just to start you off.
As someone who has done security for them!! I will tell you, that they are amazing people!! I also think they sound better live!!! And all of their fans are beyond loyal!! And for a band that should be so much bigger than they are, they're a very humble and loving group of people!!!!

If you looked up the word “Underrated” in the dictionary there would be a picture of Sevendust instead of a definition. The metal world wasn’t ready for a black lead singer. It’s very unfortunate but real talent is hard to miss and I definitely didn’t miss out on the dust!! 🤘🏼

Hey guys, can you please check out "Lonesome Tide" by Vintersea? Vintersea is a female fronted Progressive Blackened/Death metal band with both clean and harsh vocals, they just released a new album a couple days ago and it's freaking incredible! "Lonesome Tide" is a very interesting song that'll keep you on your toes, it's both beautiful and brutal at the same time! Great video as usual guys! 🤘🤘🤙🤙

To me, nu-metal is one of those things I can't describe but I know it when I hear it and Sevendust qualifies. I don't think nu-metal inherently means rap-rock or rap-metal. Faith No More and Red Hot Chili Peppers did some rap-metal and rap-rock(respectively) but I wouldn't describe either one as being nu-metal. There are other groups like Cold, Helmet, Flaw, Earshot, Static-X that I could agree with as being nu-metal and I don't hear them doing any rapping.
And please tell me this is only the second of many more Sevendust reactions because there's so much more for you guys to hear: Live Again, Bitch, Enemy, Face to Face, Broken Down, Black, Denial and there's a new one out that I haven't heard because I'm waiting for your reaction to it!

@@TonyTheLoneRiderSmith as I may have implied, the categorization is subjective and personally, somewhat irrelevant. I tend to avoid using genre terms to describe a band. For example, I was with a friend the other day and I put on Glassjaw's album Worship and Tribute. She said "Oh never heard them. What are they like?" My reply was "Glassjaw is like At the Drive-in if they were more influenced by Deftones"
At the same time, I have my own classification sticking points like Hollywood's want to categorize NWOBHM band Iron Maiden as thrash. Or Smokey has in the past referred to Obituary as being a thrash band and I'm like "Ah ah ah. They're death metal". Or the one that really irks me is when people use the half baked term "screamo" to describe emo music.
I discovered Sevendust back in the days of Angel's Son and haven't looked back, fantastic band that always delivers.
They're simply : Rock'n'Roll .. why people always gotta try and classify shit beyond 'good' 'great' 'fucking play it again!'

If you think the drummer(Morgan Rose) is bananas listening to him, do yourselves a favor and watch some drum cam footage of him. Easily one of the most entertaining drummers there is. He plays like he’s in a street-fight.

Sevendust is great! Seriously guys, you should give "Face to Face" a listen. It's my go-to song when I'm feeling... No, I won't spoil it, you'll know immediately how I'm feeling when I want to jam to this song. If anyone who is on their patreon can make that happen, I'd appreciate it. I'd do it myself if I could.
Haven't heard this in quite some time..don't know much about them but was the only song that I know..i was born in the early 60's and heard some great music over the years through the 90's after that you can keep. Just being honest

1st seen and heard about Sevendust on wwf monday night years ago and I believe Stuck Mojo was on wcw the same night. The guitarist for Sevendust Clint Lowery and the bassist for Stuck Mojo at the time Corey Lowery are brothers. Just an odd factoid I thaught I would throw out there.Both great bands but I am more partial to Sevendust. Have seen them live several times.
first album was more Nu Metal second album they were just metal. They might be the most under rated band of all time. Nu Metal is not just Rap Rock Korn was the godfathers of Nu Metal and they def didn't rap at all... Listen to Black, To Close to Hate and Bitch off of Self Titled first album.. I HIGHLY recommend "Bender feat Chino" it's a must but i think you may have done it already
2nd album is their only NuMetal album. Their 1st was more heavy metal & the rest are pure hard rock

Nu metal... no Sir. The first time I saw Sevendust was at a place called the shed in South Carolina in 1997. Pure raging ass talent, no gimmicks .nu metal is all the busters that tried to be like them.
