The fundamental basis of most of these reactions is they've been training for years, getting huge muscles, and this skinny guy shows up and lifts the weight effortlessly. That's what shocks them. That's why he said "I'm not training [anymore]."
Anatoly is crazy about lifting weights in the bodybuilding gym. He amazed everyone and still amazes people who do not know about him. He is famous and the last of the men who are surprised by him, one of them is amazed and the other is smiling 😂

That was just demonstration how far away that weight was from Anatoly's true max weight. I'm pretty sure he couldn't do that close to his own personal max.
