I'll always know Cameron as Chainsaw in Summer School. Him and that other guy were comic gold. To this day that movie cracks me up. It also had some heart to it.
This movie got zero promotion, and I don't even know how long (if ever) it was released in theaters, but I swear, everyone I know has seen this movie... And we all love it!
Yeah i used to be horribly oblivious to girls essentially throwing their vagina's at me, hindsight being 20/20 pisses me off... need F*cking foresight to be 20/20 damn it! lol
The thing that keeps me going every day is the hope that one day I'll get a notification that there's a new Good Bad Flicks video and click through to see it's about Summer School.
God, I completely forgot about this movie, this is why I love this channel, not just for the nostalgia with the movies but also all the behind the scenes and work involved in bringing them to life......another awesome vid as always!
Parents used to be cool and let us kids watch r rated movies. Friday the 13ths and nightmare on elm streets, i saw terminator 2 in the theater at 9, dont see that happening now a days. But yea ski school is one of those nostalgic "extreme" sports movies just like the movie rad was cuz there is thunder in my heart and every move is like lightning
Ski School & Summer Schoolm are certainly 2 of my all time favs, Along with The Barbarian twin flicks, plus a lil "Prayer of the roller boys" and your set for a Great time
This movie was the plot of 80% of all 1980’s movies. Same characters just different actors. But somehow Your walkthrough makes me want to watch it. Keep them coming. Thanks.
I remember these ski movies back in the day. The concept got revisited with “Out Cold” in 2001, with Zach Galifianakis, David Koechner, & Lee Majors. That’s another little gem.
As someone that graduated high school in the 90s, I can attest to everything in this movie and video. The 90s were all about plot > partying > getting some > conflict > party > party > getting some > party > party > plot And the movies were too! 😁
Just a related anecdote I want to share. I was in gr. 8 when I saw this movie so you can imagine how wild my hormones were "acting up". Anyways, in english class we had to write and create a small novel as an assignment. I, being the genius I was, basically novelised this movie. LOL! Sex scenes(toned down a bit), crude humour and all. My teacher was 62 and didn't own a tv so I banked on him having not even a clue to what the movie "Ski School" was. I was right. *Edit:* Sorry, I didn't think anybody would've cared. I got a 44/50 for the story and 50/50 for the illustrated cover. Had 2 points deducted for handing it in 2 days late without a good excuse. I still have the "book" til this day in my attic. Went to dig it up since you guys asked. LOL! Looking through it now, I see it's horrible. 90% of it is dialogue quotes from the movie and I didn't even title it "Ski School". I called it "Ski Battle" Hahahahahaaa!! The burgeoning of my teenage edge. LOL!
Damn....I was hoping for a review of Ski Patrol which was a super movie IMHO. It’s worth it just to watch the guy who has multiple personalities and uses a rocket powered snow board!
Omg one of my favorite movies of all time. I’ve watched it numerous times. Gotta love USA up all night back in the day. “Now is the time we do the lambada, the forbidden dance...oh my, I’ve come. “
Watched this several times during the late night movie craze on cable, remember seeing one about a flight attendant school that was equally bad and good.
5:22 Dave is wearing a white t-shirt that reads on it _KNAC PURE ROCK 105.5_ K-N-A-C was a Heavy Metal music FM radio station that lasted from January 1986 to February 1995, the station today is now KBUE, Que Buena a Mexican radio station.
Dude you have to do Ski Patrol - that one actually has a lot of talent that went on to pretty big things, like Paul Feig, and the guy that played Kenny Banya on Seinfeld. There’s a few others too, it’s a great 90’s flick though just like this one.
*"It's not how far you go, it's how go you far."* I first watched this movie at a party at my buddy's house the night before we graduated high school. We spent most of the following year randomly quoting the movie around the college we were both attending- even though most people had *no* idea what we were talking about. Watched this film *way* too many times over the years. Still kinda have a crush on Charlie Spradling (Paulette), tho....
This was a trailer on a VHS Tape I had as a teenager. I thought it looked fucking awesome but this wasn't stocked in any Video Stores in my area. Thanks for showing the high lights of this movie. :-)
I have seen that one openning night at the theatre and it was a fricking good time... that was one of those few films who got better because of its french canadian dubbing...
I loved this film when I was growing up! I graduated in '93, so Ski School was almost perfectly timed for me. Despite living in the mostly flat state of Wisconsin I was actually kinda obsessed with the So-Cal lifestyle of surfing/skateboarding/snowboarding and punk rock. What stood out most to me in Ski School was the freakishly attractive Charlie Spradling as Paulette. To this day I've only ever seen maybe one or two other women whose smile lit-up a screen the way Spradling did. Spradling was just on an entire other level of gorgeous. Hey Charlie, if you see this give me a call sometime!
Can you do. 'Who dares wins' next please. It's an old British film from the 80s about the SAS, it was one of my childhood favourites. Im not sure if it is that well known outside of the UK.
Oh my god. Rockula. I watched that movie once when it came out and the idea of a magical rhinestone peg leg cracked me up so bad that I still make terrible jokes about it 20 years later. I ask for one every Christmas. I'm hoping that one day before I die someone in my family will just give up and make me one just to make me shut up XD
Hey Cecil, loved this . Also...I'm sure someone pointed it out already but on its always sunny there was a ep called the gang hits the slopes that parodied this it even had dean Cameron in it
I remember this movie being on Cable all the time. Yes it does seem like a much different time for sure. I was a about 11 when this came out . I remember thinking how cool the section 8 crew dressed 😂.
I was subbed to one of those monthly video clubs where you ordered a minimum of three titles for peanuts and they would try to sell you huge amounts of other crap every month after sending you two videos and charging you for it without you asking. If you actually ordered something they would give you a 'mystery video' which was copy of some crap that wasn't selling well enough. That's how I got my first copy of this, the roller blade seven and hawk the slayer. This was by far the best.
I really do miss these dumb party animal sex comedies. I think this, the sequel, and Ski Patrol were the last of those. Here's hoping you get to Ski Patrol.
This was released the same time as total recall. The theatre wouldn't let my friend and I into Total Recall due to the scene with the 3 bare boobs. They told us to watch this instead lmfao.
I've viewed most of this film before, I thought it was mostly light-hearted and fun. I remember Dean Cameron best as Chainsaw from "Summer School", who's character and his buddy spent the film trying to impress the female student who later played Alotta Fagina in the first Austin Powers film, but Cameron was also in 1988's "Bad Dreams", which is one whacked-out film, if anyone asked me. Section 8? That's crazy, man.
I loved this movie as a kid in the 90’s. As you know, any funny movie with naked girls in was a win for us 80’s/90’s guys. These kids now today would cry and get offended by these films.
Thanks for this vid. Never heard of this movie before but I do like Dave Cameron. Dumb comedies are my favorite type of comedies -- probably why I liked 21 & Over so much.
Enjoyed the review as always. Couple things: 1) PLEASE tell me you are going to review Ski Patrol. I watched that movie endlessly and would reference it every time I went out skiing. 2) Every time I see Dean in movies like this, I always think of his role as Chainsaw in Summer School, which may have been where he first started working with Patrick Labyorteaux. 3) The last clip you show of the owner facepalming is exactly the reaction I have when seeing some of these jokes nearly 30 years later. That doesn't mean I don't still enjoy them, though.
I like how Dean Cameron parodied his Dave character in the ski episode of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia."
That's immediately what I thought of when I saw this pop up on my TH-cam feed.
@@andrewparker5564 I think it was meant to be a parody of ski school 2
Was gonna mention the episode too! Good job.
OMG that was him!!!!
A moment ago I thought how they looked alike.
I'll always know Cameron as Chainsaw in Summer School. Him and that other guy were comic gold. To this day that movie cracks me up. It also had some heart to it.
Summer school was great
This movie got zero promotion, and I don't even know how long (if ever) it was released in theaters, but I swear, everyone I know has seen this movie...
And we all love it!
"anybody got a beer?!"
beer flies in from a ski school fan somewhere off screen
"Derps his way into sex" may be the funniest shit I've heard in a while.
Tuesday Eventide welcome to my love life
if you couldn't derp your way into sex the human race would be extinct
Yeah i used to be horribly oblivious to girls essentially throwing their vagina's at me, hindsight being 20/20 pisses me off... need F*cking foresight to be 20/20 damn it! lol
The 80s and early 90s, when you could derp your way into almost anything😎
Comedies always had the weirdest translations here in Finland. This one was called "The skirts are flying and the going's great!"
They not have skiing or school in Finland?
Now you gotta do Summer School. WonderMutt demands it.
The thing that keeps me going every day is the hope that one day I'll get a notification that there's a new Good Bad Flicks video and click through to see it's about Summer School.
Summer School is almost too good.
"Can I call my parents and say I wont be coming home...EVER!"
Or anything 80s with John Cusak!!!
Chainsaw and Dave give this comment, two thumbs up! :D
That's what I remember him from.
"Tapioca stains on the roof!"
🤣 this guy is pure gold!!
God, I completely forgot about this movie, this is why I love this channel, not just for the nostalgia with the movies but also all the behind the scenes and work involved in bringing them to life......another awesome vid as always!
God I remember this movie from when i was a kid.... Those were the days
Bob Builder but it's not for kods lol.
Jedi Knight as long as your parents/babysitter allowed you to stay up past 9pm; it became a movie for kids.
Parents used to be cool and let us kids watch r rated movies. Friday the 13ths and nightmare on elm streets, i saw terminator 2 in the theater at 9, dont see that happening now a days. The blacklight comment during the party, about it glowing like Chernobyl was solid gold.
Ski School & Summer Schoolm are certainly 2 of my all time favs, Along with The Barbarian twin flicks, plus a lil "Prayer of the roller boys" and your set for a Great time
This really takes me back to USA Up All Night B~)
Those were the good old days!
Every Friday night in high school from 11 to 5 was the best chunk of cable tv as far as this dude is concerned.
"Mixing macaroni" is going to be my new euphemism for.... something naughty.
This movie was the plot of 80% of all 1980’s movies. Same characters just different actors. But somehow Your walkthrough makes me want to watch it. Keep them coming. Thanks.

I liked Out Cold, basically a spoof of the ski movie "genre?".
You have my attention!
I love the It’s Always Sunny episode based on this movie.
Rent Money!!!
South Park did an Aspen episode that was a clever parody of this genre.
As someone that graduated high school in the 90s, I can attest to everything in this movie and video. The 90s were all about plot > partying > getting some > conflict > party > party > getting some > party > party > plot
And the movies were too! 😁
Best part of the week is when i get to enjoy Good bad Flix!
the subliminal message of this movie: "If you want to be the best you must use your mind"
Dean Cameron was the man.... Summer School, Ski School 1-2, Miracle Beach, They Came from Outer Space... good times, man.
Summer School was his best work
He was also in Men At Work.
Just a related anecdote I want to share.

I loved Mark Thomas Miller in the series Misfits of Science! I've never seen him in anything else other than this and the movie Bue Deville.
He did some TV shows like Sonny Spoon, Alien Nation and Silk Stalkings.
Dean as Chainsaw was his peak.
Damn....I was hoping for a review of Ski Patrol which was a super movie IMHO. It’s worth it just to watch the guy who has multiple personalities and uses a rocket powered snow board!

Exactly what I said...

Watched this several times during the late night movie craze on cable, remember seeing one about a flight attendant school that was equally bad and good.
Dean Cameron essentially reprised his role for always sunny
Yep!!! He was even named Dave!!!
I thought about making a reference to the "Did you cum in my burrito!?" Scene from Always Sunny, but I wasn't sure if anyone would get the reference.

We watched that on a movie night over on my Twitch channel. It was dumb fun but I cringed every time Paul Feige showed up.
Thank God!!!! Haven't seen on of these since Thanksgiving!
I love Ski school and Ski patrol. Childhood movies... yes childhood
I actually love this movie! So many funny moments.

They need to show this film in classes on how to "not to edit/continuity errors to avoid"...so bad😂😂😂.
This is my personal favorite skiing shenanigans movie
If I'm remembering right, Charlie Spradling (Paulette) had a rocking set of... muscles.
Also: STEEL PANTHER!!!!! Yes!!!!
The television show Franklin and Cameron did, "They Came From Outer Space," is hilarious!
It's basically "Route 66" meets "Alf". The whole series is on DVD.
"John is confused " apparently pretty often 😁
I was a fan of ski movies back in the day. Ski Patrol was my favorite.
One of my all time favourite childhood films
Never saw Ski School, but I do remember the stinger joke, "That's the *forbidden* dance!"
Had this and summer school on a VHS, watched them both overand over
This and out cold are a pretty good ski themed double feature.
Girl in the red bikini... Rawr. Still hot 30 years later.
Been waiting for this one. Fanx!

hoooly crap, on the cover is the perfect leg, and the other leg is also perfect. two perfect legs in one cover, thats revolutionary.
