One of the many things that I love about the horror movie culture is that loyalty that fans have over the movies. The fact that one weird forgotten movie had been redescovered and rereleased because a guy's love for a song in it shows how comited the horror fans are. It's a sense os ownership that moves us as a comunity to infuse life in works of art that are sometimes lost in the obscure past. I don't see that happening with no other genere in cinema history. Anyways... horror is pure love!

All because of a song, the journey to restore the film and to introduce it to a newer audience, is a fantastic story!!

  • @wjhull

God damn. I like hearing all the behind-the-scenes about the love and energy that goes into these movies, but the story about how it was resurrected and re-released was downright inspirational. It goes to show you that all it takes is one person with a little gumption to introduce your passion to a whole new generation of people. (And yes I realize the irony of saying that on a video channel that is literally one guy with some gumption introducing his passion to a whole new generation of people.)

I love this movie, I remember getting the Republic Pictures VHS release with the "too explicit for the squeamish" line by Variety. The effects were great and fairly elaborate for a lower budget film. I love the pre-CGI face that comes out of the computer and that wild "meltdown" scene at the end with the lasers. The director knew it was gonna be hokey and over-acted but he didn't care and did a damn good job with it.

Many 1980s horror movies been trying to lift up the franchises like Friday the 13th, Halloween, Chucky, Hellraiser,
A Nightmare on Elm Street, the Thing and many more. The 1980s are the golden era of horror entertainment. Filmmakers can reached out their own potential in budget constraints, dialogue scripts, acting, stunt work, make up effects even the actors themselves doing their stunt work even music scores to give us chills. I hope in today's standards to bring back my 80s in horror and not too much of CGI or modern stuff altogether. Great vid as always, GoodBadFlicks. KEEP IT UP! 😁

It would have been funny if she had tried to sell this haunted house in the show--"Um, this is a beautiful mansion and everything, but the icemaker on the fridge doesn't work and there's a small evil spirit in the attic!":)

Never heard of this one before, but recall Mary Page Keller from Duet. It was one of the first TV shows Fox had when they started their network, along with other good but very short-lived series like Herman's Head, The Tracy Ullman show, and The Edge(a MadTV-like show with a pre-Friends Jennifer Anniston who was at her peak hotness then). I really liked Mary Page Keller in Duet; it's a shame she didn't have the luck Jennifer Anniston did.....

This is a made by a true movielover. I like the old movies and people who pay homage to them. There of course not all perfect but some are perfect through their inperfections. 😃

Terror of the Pigeons would also have been an appropriate title for this movie.

    Scared Stiff?
Sounds like a horror porn parody.

Also sounds Like a Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis Motion Picture for PARAMOUNT Pictures in 1953, !

    Another excellent video.
You should make a video on haunted sets. But be careful not to attract bad stuff.

Huh, that's crazy... I have a few statues sculpted by Jerry Macaluso. He owns Pop Culture Shock Collectibles.

you know what? a good film would be a film based on the creation of this film! the hunt for the mansion that ended up being haunted, the boy being almost killed in that stunt, the fighting between crew members... would be a cool and mostly true story!

I didn't know about the stories behind the movie. I never expected the crew went scared stiff in making this movie.
