Even Bilstein B4’s with lowering springs are a HUGE difference. Actually takes on bumps and isn’t jittering everywhere. The brace I didn’t even notice a change.
Yes, I used to have a Z4 Coupe and most owners eould do the Bilstein B12 upgrade- this was B8 dampers and Eibach springs. This worked better on track but, for fast road use B4 dampers along with Suplex springs worked better on the road- you had some compliance that wasn't there either the B8.
@ One of the points in this video was how to get more noise out of your exhaust without spending a lot of money on a Remus non res cat back system - Which is what I have. That systems replaces both resonators as it’s the Remus race. In the video I am suggesting instead of spending a lot of money on an exhaust system that will remove either both or one of the resonators, just do a single res delete, saving you money. A garage will replace that with a pipe, and it won’t be much to do that.
Nice one Reg. Agree with all you said and have done all these mods. Rear x brace will fit all F20/21 I believe. I've got a 4 door (F20) which didn't come with one and I thought it was the 2 door LCI2 that got them but I could be wrong. Res delete on a PPF car shouldn't cause any problems. I put a Milltek non res on my PPF car with no CEL issues but although some improvements in sound, not a patch on the pre PPF cars. . Agree with what you say about B8s and Eibachs. Good improvement. But having tried several suspension variants, best for me by far is Birds Bilsteins and springs but cost a few £££s more.
Love this video! The side by side comparison of you bouncing in the seat to show the difference in the suspension was surprisingly affective :D Now to save £700... Maybe I shouldn't have gone Stage 2+ first haha

Does the brace fit other 1 series such as the 120i ? Looking for a decent quality hatch spoiler as I reckon it really needs one to beef up the rear. Just looks plain at the back. Any ideas ?

Definitely worth doing - it improves the ride comfort of the M140i tbh. The quality of damping is so much nicer on the Bilsteins.
Good to know - thanks!
How do these compare to KW Sport dampers for comfort? I use mine as daily driver too. Thanks.
