@@ParagonCarsLondon need more videos Tom !! Btw did you get a double res delete or single ? Can you recommend someone to do it I am near Watford as well
I love these, I do intend to get a manual 5 door in the near future and take it straight to Birds! And yes they may not be "unique" but they're such a fun car, just have to keep in mind that they're best after some decent suspension and a diff! As for the M2, the practicality and livability of the 140i beats it for me, but obviously the M2 is more special and will always be. I think people go wrong hoping they can turn it into an m-car, when imo the whole point is that it's not! I'm very glad you guys are still showing it love, and focusing on handling instead of power to begin with!
Curious if you replaced all stock bushings front to back? Sway bar links? Sway bars? Strut tower braces? Stock bushings are garbage. Especially with mileage on them.
Cannot decide between an M140 or an f30 340i, Cars already coming along nicely tho Quife lsd is a game changer. Nice getting Tom on the Channel love his reviews!
I'm planning on getting an m140i soon and wanna bring it down here to birds for the same thing. Could you give me a ball park figure of how much it ran you for the full thing please?
@@vollcare4076 you toe changes when you hit a bump. It makes your steering wheel wiggle when you hit a bump. Gets nervous in the steering wheel. They charge crazy money for this, not worth that much over the Bilstein B8's. Only reason I havent is because I have adaptive suspension I dont want to lose
You’re completely right, it has been done a lot. But the reason we have bought this car is for Driven+ road trips, so whilst we do all these modifications to it. It would be a wasted opportunity to not document the build. Plus there’s only so much you can do them
Thanks for having me on! Deffo a mod worth doing!
Thanks for making an appearance Tommy
PU inserts for rear subframe + M3 arms front … and it will handle even nicer
Is that Tom
From paragon cars ? Top bloke and reviewer
Certainly is!

@ Double res delete from power flow exhausts in slough 💪
@@ParagonCarsLondon 😀👍👍
It sure is! The man, the myth, the legend
How much was the suspension & LSD fitted total price?
You are looking around the £3.5k mark
I installed a Quaife LSD on my 2008 135i. Drives great.

No I haven’t replaced them yet. It’s a working progress, eventually I would like to replace all bushes with powerflex
@@DrivenPlus it’s a game changer. This car will be alive much more. I did the entire front and back and although very expensive it was all worth it.
Will definitely take a look at these then!

Both great cars, I would say the 340 is more of a sleeper! The LSD has made a huge difference! Thanks! Tom was a pleasure to work with
Enjoying your channel
Awesome, thank you!
Do they code out the E diff also ?
Is basically the compression or rebound damping softer on this Birds damper ?

Definitely recommend the modification. Ball park figure you are looking at around £3,500
What was the cost?
Big improvements. Noticed on mine when I ditched the adaptive suspension. Did you not consider the M3 LCAs whilst the dampers were out ?
M4/3 LCA’s induce slot of bumpsteer. Millway bushings & camber plates are the way to get more camber on these cars!
I’ve heard mixed opinions on the M3 LCA
@@coenwagwhat do you mean by bumpsteer ?

Haven’t had it long enough to know yet
the want for an lsd is real.

I’m about to bin my adaptive for ST-XA coil-overs. Can’t wait, didn’t rate the adaptive much personally.
@nallanw4329 yh adaptive isn't great but I'd have to go b6 to retain it at least and too expensive
I totally get the channels content factor but hasn't the m140i that handles like a M2 hatch thing been done.....a lot 🤷♂️🤔

KW V3 is much better
Have you drive both ?
shouldve bought a type r for 20k and be a bit unique
About 8 years late to the party ...
People still buy these cars and modify them?
